Great info Tyler. You explain it all very well. I didn't even know Schlage made mortise locks. I have only installed Lockwood electric mortice cylinders when I was in electronic security, back in the day. Lol. That fire catch is a cool idea that I didn't even know about that feature, I don't know if our mortise locks have them. 🤔Thnx buddy.🍺👍😎🇦🇺
Really fantastic. Seen much longer videos on other mortise locksets, but none breaking down function in such clarity. Went right along with the L series manual for the manufacturer part names, but seeing as you covered that, didn't really need the manual. Thank you so much. Great to see the L series. I'm rambling, but just fantastic information, and to the point.
Great video! Love the explanation. I wanted to know if you would do any videos on cylindrical lock units as well, a break down all the way to the cam tube? Once again love the videos, I’m just getting started working with these mortise locks and you really helped me a lot!
Thanks for sharing, may I know how you pull out the backset? Do you need to dissemble the handle first? I can only see one screw in my handle, not sure how to pull out the backset.
