I feel like with zellsis’ confidence he also adds to the overall morale. This is my favourite version of sentinels. Best of the best igl and players who are world class in their roles
Saw unsensored yesterday. Zellsis was not only keeping the mood up but also midrounding even the raze ult by Zekken against TL while defending A was initiated by him
I'm personally pretty sad Pancada isn't playing but that's just how the cookie crumbles a lot with team synergy and stuff like that, and it's clear what SEN are doing now works. I just hope he can find a team to start on cause I want to see him play!
I've read somewhere that language barrier is what's causing Sen's team disarray especially in clutch moments so I think Pancada, though it's a tough decision, being benched is the wisest choice
@@hanzjerichogarabiles5198 Or Maybe They just saving starts with Pancada for on seasons to avoid getting anti strat, It's like how PXG switches b/w Rin and Shindou and how they change the playstyle based on the talents they have!!! ( Yea that was an anime reference from blue lock I'm sorry )
@@UchihaIdiot Maybe, I've also read Pancada tweeted that seems like he's not happy with him being benched, but who knows. Nothing is disclosed about the real reason yet
perhaps % of kills that are assisted is a better stat than assists per round. the latter is skewed by average number of kills per round and therefore will generally be higher if a team does better in a given event
if u watch any of sentinels video, you always hear kaplan talking about trades and sticking together as a team. the players are getting used to the strat and perform well, congrats like the video where they were calling out trades???? (not sure if u anyone rmb) u can probably see that it means a lot to them and it’s strongly emphasised by kaplan.
I remember an interview when Kaplan first became their head coach and he emphasized wanting to create this type of playstyle for Sentinels and it's finally showing now!
The only thing I wish I saw more was innovation from SEN, but then again, it's off-season so there is no chance in hell they're showing any of their ideas in an (relatively) irrelevant tournament I'm super excited to see how the Kaplan John duo (with Zellsis support) does in regular season, as well as a TenZ that uses his brain more
I’m a Data Analyst and as an analyst I liked your work, the way you mentioned all stats of Sentinal team. It shows the effectiveness and quality of your work and content both. Keep it up. You are doing great 👍🏼
Interesting how on Split it's not like Cypher replacing Jett, but rather Cypher replacing Omen and Omen replacing Jett. The Omens role in the two comps is really different.
also, controllers are technically your second duelists after using their smokes, you cant expect your initiators or sentinels to die first since they have so much util.
@@sean2164 T1 league team gone through the ups and the downs like Sen but I think you should watch a lore video, heaps of them out there since they're a decorated team with Faker at the forefront :)
@@khalonheavy5554what made t1 the greatest team is the fact that they were dominant for 3 years and won 3 worlds in a row. So the comparisson lacks quite a bit.
In all reasoning, t1 really only had 1 "bad" year which results in missing worlds. People just had too much expectation of t1 that unless they won worlds, it was a bad year. A testament of how good their 3 year run was, but at the same time the high standard the fans put t1 in. In comparison to any orgs, their other "bad year" is still a worlds semi finalist and a MSI finalist. Did t1 go ups and down? I can argue, no. They've always been winning domestic titles consistently despite the lack of international accolades during their down year. t1 had always been a good team riddled with terrible expectations, and their history can attest to that. @@khalonheavy5554 Now in comparison to Sentinels? They got one good year and nothing to show after that. No domestic titles, no international titles. Even special events (for fun events) they had struggled and lost.
I remember u showing some stats for 2022 loud and how none of their players were the best at the tournament can u make a video showing how team work is better than individual skill with loud 2022 as the example Love the videos
This guy kinda forget its a game, highly appreciate how you analyze things mann. Keep the good work & the good information/updates & things. Much love for u ❤
zekken REALLY turned it on in this iteration of the roster. However, i think other teams such as prx are prepping for champs and were experimenting, for example something on yoru and forsaken on breach (forsaken plays yoru and smth has played breach for them before in champs). also they have not yet clashed with fnc or LVT/LEV
was waiting for this vid sweet - i have such a hate-love relationship with tenz style of playing... sure his peaks are a part of what makes him such a good player and when he is put in solo situations he is arguably one of the best players in the world... but whenever the round was closing out and sentinels were regrouping to fight together he SO often just overheated, overpeaked and died unnecessarily after getting 1 kill. They got lucky here that it (obviously) still worked out but it still sucks to see. Hopefully John and Sacy can influence him more seeing as they are two players which will literally like barelyyy ever die in an unnecessary way, their deaths are always so tactical.
I feel that sentinel's plan to set tenz in favorable position to take first peek is not a sustainable plan when tenz is the only controller. Take for instance, the kill in 7:08, if tenz die, the team has to play without smokes for the rest of the round. Perhaps tenz as a secondary controller will be better.
True if it was anyone other than the literal king of aim and 1v1s. The chance of Tenz winning an early fight where he was set up in a good position is like a God being given an advantage. The reward outweighs the risk so much that’s it’ll be worth the one failure per dozens of rounds
@@nykidxxx Everyone is human who can make mistakes and has off days. No matter how good tenz (or any other player) is, there is always the possibility that he dies, regardless of whether it's a good pick or not. If tenz as the solo controller dies, plan B is going to be challenging, assuming sentinel has a plan B here.
I mean its still just an off-season tournament so you cant really tell anything. Some team like 100T last year played so well in off-season but so bad in league
Other teams play well in the off season and then continue it into the regular season too tho. Can’t just entirely write it off because it’s off season. They are clearly playing well rn and should they continue this level of play they will be very competitive
the difference is that 100T won the redbull off-season against teams like C9 and VIT, who were not really top caliber teams at all at the time with 0 achievement before that. on that other hand, sentinels just beat teams like TL with russian superstar nats, DRX, and PRX who was arguably the best team in the world since EG disbanded. these teams were all at champs 2023 so they were obviously top tier in their region, which shows great improvement and hope for sentinels
I saw a screenshot of a recent drewspark discord message, he said that he understands that many people might be confused about why they are playing with their current roster but what was needed were flex players who could play different roles due to how they liked to play certain maps and their decision would make sense after they exposed more of their map pool, this screenshot was seen after sen vs prx in the first match of the avl. It does make sense if you think about it, they were defo gonna get zellsis cus he is the hype man and an insane player but between tenz and pancade, would you pick tenz who is kind of a jack of all trades but a master of none or panacda who is the arguably one of the best smokes players in the world? but cannot play anything else. Idk about other people but clearly the management and coaches at sen decided that they would rather go for the more flexible option and it looks like they were cooking
+ I think Tenz has an Upper Hand in Comms and Callouts because Pancada is definitely quieter(maybe because of the Language Barrier but not sure) during the Match than Tenz.I do believe Tenz helps in relaying more information through the team and also give ideas during the mid round...And also Bind Yoru adds to that..Just my thoughts
Tenz just brings way more value for them. Pancada is a great player but he has to be more flexible in the future since thats where the future of valorant is heading. Also it sucks that he signed a 2 year contract he couldve joined a Brazilian team and dominate again
Zellsis's energy changes this team. Pancada and zellsis are both good and experienced players, but on this team, zellsis suits better. Moving forward when sentinels might go down 9-3 on one half, zellsis' vocals will motivate them. Also dude can play literally any agents. He's just that Guy.
Thanks for the suggestion! I'll consider a video on KC in general in the future since I do think they will turn out much better than last year. Tough to make one for their offseason though since they only played bo1s in their offseason showmatches so far!
tbh is one BIG CHANGE. I love pancada it was one of my fav players in loud. But i think sacy english is so much better and his calls are actually so much better than pancada's. When i hear voice comms and pancada is on it you can see the difference between Zellsis a great caller and actually is one of the players you love having on your team. Pancada would do so much better on a BR team ngl
Assists per round is a misleading stat that is skewed because winning teams have more money to buy utility and are getting more kills. You could make it slightly more useful if you further divvy it up by assists per won and lost rounds.
Thanks for the feedback! It's a good point and someone else suggested percent of kills that were assisted which I think is something I'll definitely consider for a future video!
Such an insightful video. Also, THEY WON MASTERS MADRID (so happy)!!! Its crazy to me how after Afreeca tourny, blabbering haters and even poor fans running on 2 years long differential, seeing the team loose again and again, were happy seeing them win in Afreeca league but not getting their hopes too high either, since it was arguably off season. Whereas almost all having deep knowledge of the game like yourself and FNS were constantly pushing forth the agenda that SEN is actually dangerously good right now. And they were so right! HOPIUM is all time high and rightfully so! Love SEN.
Great analysis as always! Off topic, but what do you think about Monyet on PRX? I'd love to know your general thoughts about him and what you've seen of his performance so far.
I think it was a great pickup for them and at certain moments I was very impressed with his play. They mainly need time to figure out roles a bit better since right now they're all over the place.
Tenz is who got me into valorant so obviously Ive been a fanboy, but I must admit I was skeptical when they put him on omen when you have arguably one of the best omens/controllers in the world on the bench. But boy how he proved me wrong lol 🤣🤣 Its unfortunate for pancada but I think this rendition of sen is the best one yet.
I maybe a TL fan, but I can’t complain that setnials won their off season major. They haven won since masters 1 champions. Masters Requvik (sorry I mispelled that).
Bro, valorant has turned from a game that relies on how good your aim is and headshot percentage to literally SWAT team neutralisation tactics on a hostage situation.
You clearly misunderstood about the video, this video is not about sentinels will be the best team in the world my dude. It is about how much sentinels has improved and how we are going to expect them to play next year. So whatever you say they haven't play against FNC or EG, it is kinda out of the point.
Sen fans are u joking? Team just won offseason tournament and u hype them that much? That tournament where team not playing serious? I’m not excuses rest of teams, but we will see what happens 2024.
We understand that it is an off season tournament. Like sideshow said, even it is an off season tournament, it doesn't mean this tournament is not important or doesn't matter. This tournament is for us or fans to expect how these teams are going to perform next year. So just hate as much as you want, people will still ignore your hates.
