Should Cherington be trusted to find a new manager to replace Shelton? I have serious doubts that Cherington is capable of finding a quality manager.

Cherington has a horrible record with the teams he has been with. 8 seasons of losing out of 10. They need to fire everyone!

Didn’t earn the bonus because they cut him before he got there so in theory can’t earn it when you cut him when it was a plate appearances bonus. Just an example of pirates cheapness and how dumb this organization is let’s have a terrible PR move when ppl are waiting to pounce on when they are cheap.

Cherington had plenty of money in Boston and they were still terrible. He's a huge part of the problem.

Passan's point was not the 200k. It was that the pirates were even in the position, because of salary constraints, to have to have Tellez as their everyday first baseman. And that's what put them in this position in the first place. Listen to it again.

Like Iran is the real problem in the Middle East. The owner is the real problem with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Bob does not care if the Pirates win a championship. Bob is fine with a mediocre profit, making team. Therefore, the only way for the Buc's to win a championship is to have an owner that wants one. That is it in a nutshell!!!!!!

Because Cherington isn't given the resources to sign even the average MLB 1B, he has to sign guys like Tellez, aka fringe major leaguers.

Nobody is complaining about Taylor. Pirates needed to look at guys we brought up in place of them. This off-season, players will actually sign with us. We must figure out our young guys first if we want to compete
