You can’t predict Lamarillo, we as fans wait and nobody should be excited, the New York Islanders need to improve the organization from the top, thank you Gil, thanks for Roy, because he’s going to improve the team and in put, we need more goals that is a issue that needs to be addressed

Good morning team. Thanks again, Gil. I hope everyone is well on this fine Thursday. I 100% am thankful we have Roy. He is going to get the most out of any kind of players we have on the ice. That being said, cap space has been an issue for quite the while. This is a main reason why the prospect pool is so shallow. Lou is our GM. Many fans, myself included, have opinions about it, but it is what it is. He is the guy. Is he magically going to do something mind blowing? Probably not, but we can all hope, can't we? Gm Gil. I expect nothing but nibbling at the edges because any significant action comes with the recognition of how bad things are and in Lou world all is rosy...in Lou world the Isles are elite and a puck bounce from the finals

The Islanders need to balance current cap constraints with future extensions for key players like Dobson and Romanov. Trading or buying out contracts could help create flexibility for upcoming contracts. LGI

gilbo baggins - im all for trading brock and palms. even if we kept them and signed a top 6 forward, we're still a bubble team, albeit maybe with a record more akin to a western conference bubble team

That would be a very un-Lou like move, but it is an option for the long term. If Sorokin bounces back, you're right, they could still be a bubble team with those deals. Thanks for the comment.

Trade picks probably both seconds/future picks plus retainment only way this can be done since isles lack viable players to move in dump deal or prospects a team would want. And you have to have a willing team that needs some cap $$$'s like utah or hawks yet they don't need anymore picks. They are looking for talent to improve. The buy out period is now if louzer wants to dump one now. So the first goes for someone who will need a big extension then the seconds go to dump salary leaving isles with no picks until round 4. And the isles weak nhl worst system remains that way. Isles can't have their cake and eat it too these days. nj, sens got their goal help. East teams are making moves and more will come. One year louzer is gonna be caught with his pants down as isles get left behind with the same old stagnant run it back process in the east as teams take advantage of the extra cap space to improve. Laffs one year had to give canes a first to take last year of marleau's $6 mill. deal off their hands to sign p j judas only to see canes waive him. A deal louzer signed marleau to. A similar type deal could be coming as louzer can't get out of his own cap he-ll once again.

maybe nelson and pulock could fetch a package from utah yotes including 6th pick? one ufa predicter says isles will sign debrusk to add to isles group of middling wingers. j. skinner was bought out by sabres. Go and get him louzer. Another 30 + year old to add to your collection.

That may be the best Lou can do, sign or trade for a couple of mid-level players and keep in mind that's AFTER he sheds salary, likely Pageau or Lee. Thanks for the comment, Steven.

Hi Gil, it’s been a while! Hope you’re well my Islander friend. Well--Louless just can’t run this crap back. If he does, attendance will suffer badly IMO. What would I like to see? I’d like to see Lee gone, JG gone, Whally gone and I’ll roll the dice with Nelson. I’d like to see Ehlers, the Groat kid and Laine. Change must finally arrive. OFC Marner is the guy I really want because he will change everything! What will we get? A 5”9 kid from overseas! Friday? A 5”11 D man because our scouts are pretty bad. A team that needs a sniper badly will draft a d man. I have no faith in Louless. If Roy was our Gm it would be a draft party. As is-sorry Gil, we’ve been let down badly. My take on Friday? Show me. Take care Gil! Gm’s laugh at Lou behind his back and simply try to fleece him for the next many number ones.

The Islanders need a to put together a team that can compete with THE STANLEY CUP CHAMPION FLORIDA PANTHERS. They need youth, speed, and experience. JG Pageout, possible trade bait. Anders Lee, also possible trade bait. I don't blame you, Gil, I don't want to listen to it myself. He can make trades, part of me thinks he doesn't want to. Igor Churnichov.. He's a big dude 6'2, 192 lbs. He's a power forward in the making. He's 18 years old, keep him in the minors. HAPPY 🎂, ROLAND MELANSON, a nice solid career. He made 40 saves beating Vancouver. Lou has a lot of work to do unless he plans on doing nothing! I don’t want to buyout players hopefully we can swing deals. Pulock, Wally , Fasching, 3rd pick for Ehlers and Rutger! Lee to Utah with a 3rd pick for zip! JGP , second round pick in 2024 , second rd pick 2025 for Jacob Chychrun. One could only Dream

I would love to see that but as you said, Otto, it's mostly a dream. There just isn't enough cap space and Lou seems reluctant to deal the players he needs to trade or buyout to free up space. Thanks for the comment, Otto.

IMO, there is no way to turn this team into a cup contender during the offseason. Lou should have been making deadline trades to contenders the last 3 years. The problem is Yoda has no idea of what it takes to win a cup these days, so he kept deluding himself into thinking we were good enough and COULDN'T trade anyone away. What a fool, and ownership doesn't care.
