One of their best albums in my opinion right around the time they were getting more mainstream recognition. Not a bad track on it. Congrats on big 100k well deserved 🎉
The most significant thing about this album(other than it coming out a month before I saw them live for the first time) is that it’s the last album Scrim wasn’t sober. You can hear the pain in the mans voice, he was suffering heavy 😔
Scrim was wayyy out of it on this album, if you can't tell by his voice & flows in these songs. Dude was down bad but still never declined on the production at all, wildly enough.
You know, it was really 2016 where they really started to catch heat. That late-2015 to early-mid 2016 era is really chock full of classic mixtapes and EPs. For real. 👌🤘🔥💯🖤💚❤️🐐
Omfg this is legendary Scrim actually hates this album bc he was was the most high he’s ever been/trying to get sober also . You can hear it in how kinda broken and rotted he sounds … but I personally luv this album … but holy fuck the 3 album run after this is insane … starring at the shadows to sing me a lullaby was perfect
I no longer fear the razor guarding my heel saga is beautiful, in my opinion part 1 is the best just bc of how the beat and their voices makes you feel. Gives me such good nostalgic
Some things to add after watching, the album was supposed to be called I DONT want to die…. They changed it after the tour. the monologue at the end of f the industry is bones unless I’m just wrong, but he was supposed to be a feature as well. And AT THE TIME this album dropped we really thought this was the last we were getting from the boy$ as the last song talks about not feeling like anything’s working at all and was the last we got for a while. Nothing important just figured I’d fill in the lore for you guys. Loved the reaction guys y’all nailed it on the head with your thoughts an explanations
Actually thank you for this been listening to them for abt 4ish years now and thought I new a lot about them but this comment informed me on a lil more
I don't know if you caught that, but the guy who is giving an euology at the end of Fuck the Industry track is Bones. Great review, excited for more of Suicideboys. Cheers 😎
This is actually Scrim's least favorite of their albums because when they made this, he was heavy on drugs and you can hear it in his voice. It got to the point where Ruby said if Scrim doesn't get better/clean, he was going to leave $uicideboy$. This is why I hate people that say Scrim was better on the dope
I'm sure this what everyone been waiting on it's a couple songs y'all reacted to off this album. Y'all the best at what y'all do and I was waiting for King Tulip glad that was first
This album came out in the peak of my addiction, from a young age I started using various drugs, but I went particularly deep into opioids, I overdosed on fenty when I was 15, and this album is very nostalgic but in a good way, reminds me of how far I came… I’m roughly 5 years sober off heroin and fenty, I stopped counting because who gives a fuck. Anyway now the BOY$ are sober and so am I. For anyone else struggling you will get thru it, your pain is turned into strength and wisdom to help others.
This is my Fav album by them but is also the Album the boys dont like that much, there was alot going on with thier relationship at the time. Great Reaction tho !!!!
I promise y’all there’s a lot of talented underground artists out there y’all haven’t discovered yet. But that’s what us fans and viewers are for helping other people discover more people/ artists.
We need some more Kanye reactions like the college dropout or my beautiful dark twisted fantasy also donda is a great album. Would appreciate it very much!
scrim was beyond blasted on drugs on this project, i’m pretty sure he tweeted that this was his least favorite project because he couldn’t form a coherent sentence. That’s beyond the point just glad my guys are sober now👏🙌🔥
yeah I totally understand why it's their least favorite, but IMO, it's easily their best. I'm a big "metal genre" fan and I draw parallels to Slipknot's Iowa album. They all HATE that album, but it's unanimously their best album when it comes to fan opinion.
I Want to Die In New Orleans: 0:35 King Tulip 5:48 Bring out Your Dead 9:49 Nicotine Patches 14:41 10,000 Degrees 17:54 122 Days 22:53 Phanton Menace 26:37 Krewe Du Vieux (Comedy & Tragedy) 28:23 WAR TIME ALL THE TIME *Flip Track* 31:38 Coma 35:35 Long Gone (Save Me from This Hell) 42:18 Meet Mr. NICEGUY 47:42 Carrollton 51:07 Fuck the Industry 58:43 I No Longer Fear the Razor Guarding My Heel (IV)
the original title for the album was I DONT want to die in New Orleans but they changed it to i want to die in New Orleans shortly before release. pretty cool.
$B is next on my vinyl wishlist. The hard thing is deciding which project. Got the Dookie album from Green Day with the unreleased Woodstock ‘94 tapes. My new hobby is obnoxious
