Foremost, thanks for your time, guys. In this video I have share my experience how I have manage to fix a #liquid #damaged #lenovolaptop without ultrasonic tools or skills.
As liquid, damage repair is always unpredictable, therefore this method might not bring you the solution but it is worth to give it a try before you spend a lot on this sort of repair.
By the way, it would not harm or damage your data or worsen the motherboard condition.

The problem with water damage is that some water might sit in a connector or under a chip then, once it powers on, pops the chip out or short out the connector. Removing everything then cleaning every surface that connects to another surface is a great way to eliminate any water. He uses alcohol because alcohol evaporates quickly. Unfortunately alcohol also causes corrosion on components in the future. I recommend scrubbing bublles original formula. I worked with a repair company that had like 20+ locations and this was their trick. There is an easier, but risky way, if you don't want remove every component on the device. Remove the battery and leave the cover open. Leave the device in an area with really dry air. If you live in the Sahara you're all set if not see below. Dry the device with towels and DO NOT USE RICE (Rice expands and retains the moisture, it also cloges up your ports) Port test: Before you dry and 3-4 times in the drying process try and move the device around and gently tap it to move any water in one location. I usually gently strike the device against my palm positioning an opening(like a charging port or headphone jack) towards my palm to see if there is even a single drop of water., alternating between rotating and hitting my palm to check for any water in the ports, keep doing this until there isn't a single drop coming out of any of the ports, If there was water in any port dry again following the recommendations below. Here are you options: (Do any at your own risk, be patient and don't rush to "try it" cause that's when you really mess up the device, better to play it safe and dry it longer) 1. (The riskiest) Use the oven. I wet an iPod a few years ago and my oven had a low 200-250 Degree Farenheit temp setting but that was still too high so I did two things. I used a towel and kept the door open. I placed the device on a cookie sheet on a dry towel (Otherwise the metal cookie sheet might heat up enough to melt the plastic) Then I ran the oven for about an hour but KEEP THE DOOR OPEN! You can also use a toaster oven but if the low temps are 250F or less. Be sure to rotate/flip regularly and use the port test above before attempting to turn on your device. 2. Dehumidifiers (BEST) If you have a dehumidifier place your open device in a small room or even a closet and run the dehumidifier at the setting that dries the air the most. I would say a minimum of 24 hours. Be sure to rotate/flip regularly and use the port test above before attempting to turn on your device. 3. The back of the refrigerator (Lower risk, Long time to wait) I would wait about 3 days but be sure not to put it on the floor. Fridges have a tray that fills with water on the bottom during a defrost cycle and sometimes they spill over. (Rare but you don't want to risk it) Be sure to rotate/flip regularly and use the port test above before attempting to turn on your device. Possible things that may work as alternatives that I have not tried but believe they have a good change of success. 4. Food dehydrators, (No idea I would say 3-4 hours) I like this idea because they use low heat. I would recommend keeping the temperature low/mediumum. I am not sure how hot these get but keep it under 200 and put a towel under your device. Be sure to rotate/flip regularly and use the port test above before attempting to turn on your device. 5. A bag with orbis or silica gel packs.(24-36hours) You know those packs that come In medicine botles and shoes. Or those orbis (orbeeez) Those things excell at sucking up moisture from the air. The silica gels packs are specifically for that purpose. Get enough of those around your device and this may work but you would need to seal it in an airtight container. I would say the amount to immerse your device completely. Unlikly that you have that stuff laying around. Warning, if you have them loose, be sure they aren't small enough to get stuck in your devices ports. Riskly but Would like to try this one day with maybe a two huge flat silica gel packs and a jumbo ziplock back hat you could slip your laptop in after drying it thourouly. Be sure to rotate/flip regularly and use the port test above before attempting to turn on your device. Good luck.
