GSLDB is a very genius concept.. Doesn't need costly fighter jets to perform these tasks. Indian Army and our private military industrial complex should look into this. If i had money.. I would have invest in this type of concept.
It will depend on what's its objective, the delay will be longer if it's a multi storied bunker, it is programmed according to the target to be destroyed.
Every video, everyone, tackles a complex subject and steps the viewer through it, no problem. Consider making some vids for schools, you'd be good at it.
I know that the F/A-18 Super Hornet was an example. But that's not the only one, because the Mark 80 series of iron bombs are far more widespread within NATO Air Forces (it's capable of being carried by the F-15E Strike Eagle and their later derivatives, the F-16 multirole fighter, the A-10 Thunderbolt II ground attack and CAS aircraft, the french Dassault Mirage 2000, among many other Western designed aircraft. Even I've seen those bombs being fitted in other fighters. A few years ago I've saw these bombs (the unguided Mk.82) being fitted in Venezuelan Air Force Su-30MK Flankers (due that their elderly F-16 Block 15s are mostly grounded by lack of maintenance and upgrades due to the economic blockade enforced by the US due to human rights abuses and other things).
the 500 pound JDAM GBU-38 is a Mk.82 with a GPS guidance package and stabilizing fins. The 2000 pound JDAM is a Mk.84 series. The Mk.83 1000 lb munition is the GBU-32 and the other 1000 pound JDAM is the GBU-35 or BLU-110 GP bomb.
you should also mention the AltNav capability if the GPS is jammed in the Area of Operation, research Satelles and the company that just acquired them, Iridium
Thanks for GIDS pakistan to make range extension kit for unguided bombs of PAF , Now basic bombs can hit a target from distance of 200KM more than JDam juat like an air to ground attack missile ❤🇵🇰
A few issues with your video. The Mk80 series GP bombs have about 40% of the weight of the bomb is explosive filler. The fuse conduit is merely a hollow tube that allows the control wires, if necessary, to be connected to the fuse in the rear and/or the fuse in the tail. Would the GLSDB have suspension lugs if fired from the HIMARS, MLRS?
the ATU 33 is on the right side of the munition and can be dropped from any general purpose or strike fighter. Yall claim to have knowledge but cant get basic facts right
ukraine had high hopes for the GLSDB but for some reason these didn't work out the precision was a total disaster the Russians' EW warfare affected these GlSDB so they basically became useless why exactly the GLSDB are so affected and not others similar of the same type it is strange hope that boing and saab are working on a solution
The U.S. JDAMS easily jammed the Russian glide bomb not so Usual U.S. military garbage just like their Bradley IFV and Abrams tanks that were destroyed in Yemen by the Houthi
"What is the big deal with this Mssl?" he asks. Well it's exactly the same Mssl. that is DISAPEARING on it's way to Ukraine and appearing in the hands of terrorist. Also, weren't Boeing and Saab caught EMBESELING? Like, famously?!? Why don't you talk about the great military-industrial wonder of vanishing money?
You guys never fail to illustrate how super-complex military hardware works down to the smallest details. Including variants and price comparisons between different systems - these are the coolest military hardware vids out there!
@@TheRealBillBob That would, ultimately, be the American tax payer or, in the case of foreign arms sales, the client state and their tax payers. But this wasn't a video on military funding or the military industrial complex, so my comment was limited to the presentation its contents.
minor correction I believe that the glide bomb flips over once it extends it wings, the wings are on top. Parts of your animation shows this. Otherwise well done, as usual.
The Ground Launched Small Diameter Bomb (GLSDB) is a very unique concept, much like our 🇮🇳 SMART torpedoes. The GLSBDs are quite effective against PLA's long range MBRLs deployed at LAC, our defence forces should consider developing such GLSDBs.
Question? Since the plane is moving at a certain speed, doesn't that mean the bomb is moving at a certain speed? What's the warhead made from? Is it possible for the satellite to be hacked? What kind of thermal batteries, are these? History Question? Didn't the Germans have a analogue version of a missile that can change or direct its path?
