The thing I'm looking forward too the most in space travel is just inspiring the next generation. My 5 year old son wants to be a phlebotomist and astronaut. Im just hoping they let me tag along. I dont let him out my sight nevermind to mars 😣🤣
I am excited and most looking forward to seeing Starship have reusable flights. The moment that SpaceX proves it can actually launch, land, and reuse both stages is probably going to be one of the biggest game changing moments in space history!
The other part is its not using shit loads of titanium, NASA wasted so much of the stuff on stages they dropped in the ocean. Just the fact spacex is using stainless steel instead is a big step forward for spacecraft.
@@sijenkai3928 but also cool. Nobody has died in a space elevator ride, while 19 poeple have died in rocket launches. Also, space elevators are totally possible with today's technology... As long as someone figures out how to mass produce nano-carbon tubes
One little problem here buddy. You're comparing a SpaceX suit which is designed and made for only traveling into space and back while inside the spacecraft for an emergency case,. They are not EVA suites designed for space EVAs or lunar walking of any sort. Also, NASA spacesuits are 50 years old, originally designed for Apollo and then new versions made for the space shuttle. You can't even compare the two.. Plus, right now NASA has two companies better building all new suits, one design specifically for the ISS and EVA space walks, and another company is designing and building one purely for lunar EVAs.. Neither of the new suits are designed by or manufactured by SpaceX, and both new suites will be in service completely replacing all the old NASA suits by 2025-26.
Hey what did you expect from a SpaceX schill channel, he even have ads of established titles selling you a piece of paper that certifies you paid $300 for a piece of paper saying you are a prince
@@multiplesourcesofincome7037Yes he did, and the proceeded to compare it to old suits capable of actually going on the moon. Also who the hell designs a spacesuit looks first? Anyway it’s not rocket science just kidding it is literal rocket science!
Something that really needs to be stressed is the SpaceX suit is not an EVA suit and cannot be worn disconnected from the capsule. It is not space rated and is only for being worn inside the capsule as a secondary environment protection in the event the capsule loses pressure. The NASA suits are capable of independently supporting a life-support pack and have other additional layers for protection during EVA's.
@@svensubunitnillson1568 I think you're just uncomfortable because of the speed at which the private-sector can move in comparison to the public-sector, which was what dominated this particular field for so long.
SpaceX has seriously stepped up their game when it comes to the space suits. The new one looks like a thing from the far future - its so cool! Thanks to all the engineers and scientists out there working for these.
I think the thing I’m most excited for is developing more ai-assisted designs and 3d printing like the Terran R, but there’s so many different ways to make spacecraft now that it’s hard to decide
@user-od6zj7ws7f ooh yeah and related to that the idea of using solar gravitational lending or earth’s atmosphere for advanced telescopes could show us the weather of exoplanets. This is a pretty cool time to be alive all things considered
Hey, if you are not saved, and would like to be included in the rapture of the church. Believe that Jesus's death on the cross, was enough to pay for ALL your sins , yes ALL ,(past, present and future) That is what the Gospel is about. We are saved by GOD'S amazing grace, through our faith in Jesus's sinless life, death on the cross and resurrection 3 days later . No additional works needed. It is literally that simple. @@primalspace Go to S. Padre island you can see the towers and you can drive to the launch pad near the Boca Chica beach - I went, it's awesome, like Cape Canaveral in 1968. the video is NOT the same, I've watched most of the videos and gone there. Launch in March?
i think it just looks that way because of the ancient behemot that is nasa. that thing needs to be dismantled and rebuilt from the ground up. its like an old beurocrats office.
Nasa's suits are 50 years old, and they actually went to the moon Meanwhile spacex haven't gone to the moon and they have a 50 year technology advantage
The most exciting thing for me is definitely the Artemis project. The idea of people living and working on the moon is so cool to me and I’m also excited to see how this could possibly be used as practice for living on mars.
A 3D animation of the mars sample return was released a few days ago. It made me so excited about the complexity of the mission, each step will be amazing, and the achievement it is going to be !
They're a flight suit. Not a space suit. You wouldn't last long in space with it. And on the moon the dust is damaging to a space suit. They were heavily degraded after a few EVAs.
I think he means that you're taking in more radiation with the spaceX suit because the bulkiness of the other suits helps maintain that protective layer. Could be wrong, but I think he's on your side. And I agree with U as well
Love how your channel is growing, you really deserve it Ewan! For me, clearly, besides Artemis program, it’s the Dragonfly mission. We’ll discover a lot from the coolest moon in the solar system
That’s because NASA is run by the government!! No government agency is nearly as efficient or innovative as individual agencies!! They get in their own way with their stupid policies! There are also very wasteful of money and resources!!
Let's wait and see how these do outside a space craft. I noticed that none of the footage of the SpaceX suits was in vacuum. But if they are safe they look like a big step forward for in-vehicle launch/reentry suits.
I can't wait for Artemis 3 and the Starship orbital test flight, the grandness of the missions and plans excites me so much! I only got into space 3 years ago, and I've come a long way
Except because they are smaller and lighter, in theory they could carry a second tailored suit for each crew member and still be less weight and volume than the bulky suits of the past.
I really want to see the establishment of a moon base! As a young person, I think it would be very inspiring to see the manned Artemis missions! It is also amazing how all these different space companies trying a wide diversity of launching payloads!
To me, the obviously most exciting thing is the Artemis program and the Gateway station. I think SpaceX having reusable rockets will also be a huge game changer
Obviously Artemis, the future Ares (they better name it right this time unlike Apollo) program and Gateway are the most exciting! I think reusable rockets are also a game changer! Not like the Space Shuttle existed or Dreamchaser or the DC-X..... spacex totally is the first to have reusable "rockets".
@@TrueSpace61The Space Shuttle was an arse-backwards design that sacrificed a huge amount of payload capacity for its giant reusable orbiter... while the external tank was thrown away and the SRBs weren't worth refurbishing. Dream Chaser is still in development. The DC-X was never an orbital rocket. It was a test vehicle comparable to SpaceX's Grasshopper.
@@ReddwarfIV The Space Shuttle was able to carry large loads into space, large enough to get the job done (e.g. SpaceLab, ISS Modules, TDRS, the IUS and its payload, and Hubble). While it was impossible to fully refurbish without the addition of an ET heat shield, it drastically lowered the cost of, and allowed more people to travel to, space and the ISS. There is no evidence whatsoever of the Space Shuttle being ineffective or inefficient. Secondly, Dream Chaser is more expensive and has a smaller payload than the Shuttle. I know that since you're British, you don't have as much experience or education on rocket systems (The only British rocket was a Nazi ripoff), but it is launched on top of a massive, non-reusable rocket to bring supplies to the Station (Similar to the Cygnus spacecraft, the US' version of the Прогресс. Lastly, the DC-X, while only being a test rocket, was monumental in proving that VTVL is possible (Similar to the Harrier and VTOL). The Delta Clipper in general was an orbital-class rocket, but constant budget cuts from the U.S. government (so they could fund imperialist wars in the Middle East) prevented NASA from building it. Overall, I think you should do research (maybe even read your first book :)) before making wild claims like that. "The Space Shuttle: Technologies and Accomplishments" is a must-read for anybody wanting to learn about the Shuttle's history.
I'm so excited for the Starship mission with Tim Dodd. His channel brought me closer to spaceflight and seeing the joy and his passion is absolutely incredible. I'm really looking forward to that.
So you're saying that you want him to die? I guarantee you that either starship will launch people and succeed in at least a decade, after NASA lands on Mars, or the first time they launch it will kill everyone onboard.
@@TrueSpace61 First off, no, I most certainly don't want that he dies. And I also don't know when they'll be ready for a launch with passengers. But I strongly believe that they will be faster than Nasa at launching people, even more so with your goal of getting to mars. And, with SpaceX's reliability of the falcon 9 launches I am very confident that they'll achieve atleast a similar reliability with starship. He most certainly won't die on this mission. And, yes, there is always a chance of something going wrong but every single person, chosen for this ride, accepts the risk. The best we can do is wait and wish him luck.
Established Titles is a scam (that was exposed by Scott Shafer 2 months ago), this is an awesome video (and channel) but supporting that shady company is bad, for everyone and of course your reputation. Please cancel the sponsor and choose another one carefully.
@@Coldcon2 Well, at least make it clear, until Primal Space sees a lot more of this comments maybe he will consider terminating the sponsorship. Because there are people outhere who doesn't know about this. At least when they hear about it now Established Titles markets themselves as "A prank".
“Okay, we’d like to introduce our new moon suit! Our moon astronauts will be wearing this, so we’ve worked pretty hard on it.” “Wow, looks great!” *later* “…crap, we spent almost all of our budget developing that. Hey, SpaceX?” “Hmm?” “Do you have a suit good enough for moonwalks?” “I thought you already made one of those?” “We spent almost all our budget on it, though. We’re 20 months behind schedule now, so have you-“ “Oh, I’m years ahead of you, NASA.”
Primal space, idk if your aware of the situation but id recommended doing some investigation into established titles as a couple youtube videos have recently exposed it to be quite a big scam company owned by owners of other scam companies
Thank you for your comment. I have recently been made aware of these concerns and am looking into them now. I appreciate your continued support and look forward to sharing with you what's coming up in the future!
@@thecyanadon I'm not saying they don't, just pointing out that compared to NASA their suits are a lot less utilitarian, now that I think about it it was a kind of pointless comment.
Currently I am very exited for the Europa Clipper mission. Even though Artemis and James Webb is also really cool and exiting, I just want to see more of Europa!
I never knew space x was actually a good space program with all of the memes going around with it but now I see it might actually be the space program to revolutionize space travel.
These animations are getting better and better. The way you can see each little THREAD on the space suit is amazing! Great job man! 💯💯🔥 The thing I am excited for is more Falcon Heavy launches. After it launched on Nov 1. I was stoked and ready for more launches to come! But the thing I am MOST excited for is Artemis and Starship, since Artemis' goal is to pave the way to go to Mars, I am excited to see if maybe SpaceX and NASA will collaborate on this amazing project!
Thank you for your comment. I have recently been made aware the concerns surrounding this sponsor and am looking into them now. Much appreciated and looking forward to sharing what's coming up next!
I love this kind of videos! im still an child but i love space! your one of the few space content makers i know thanks for putting this much work for us! have a good day.
Ok here listen to me real quick. Since you're still a child, I don't blame you for not understanding this quite yet. However, you should know how horrible of a person elon musk is. He tries to kill his tesla workers to save some money, blatantly refuses to have a safe abort system on any rocket, and thinks that space is a business, and not a frontier. The reason I'm saying this is because spacex is literally just musk. Anything musk does, spacex does too, and vice versa. I can also guarantee you that spacex will not land on the Moon or Mars. Instead, NASA/JAXA/ESA/Roscosmos/Axiom Space will land on Mars with the whole world watching. I would recommend not falling for the lies and brainwashing of pro-musk people. Go out, do your research and think about it, and you'll come to the same conclusion that we need to stop musk and spacex from ruining everything. Also, think about what really means "space" to you. It should be something like a Soyuz, a Space Shuttle, an SLS, or the ISS, not a death rocket made by a billionaire. Thanks for reading this, and have a good day too, regardless of if you decide to think deeply about what I said.
if you like space and learning about space, I recommend a channel called 'Kurzgesagt - In a Nutshell', they make interesting videos about space and other stuff :)
I really love the ideas of the skyhook, tube launcher and more. If those could actually be made in irl it would be really cool and pleasant to have them. It would make space travel cheaper and easier.
@@johnjack3578 Well Earth is dying, sun could explode before our species extinct, possible alien invasion, answering philosophical questions that hasn't been answered, possibly founding the origin and overall information about the universe, and etc.
If I was faced with a crisis situation where I needed a spacesuit to protect me, I would still rather have the bulky suit will all of its specialized equipment and 70 years of design and development, rather than some "sleek" looking Hollywood crafted version that doesn't look like it would be as safe. And given the shortcuts Musk takes and how he poorly manages companies (Twitter included), I wouldn't trust anything that man and his companies created, including his cars.
Elon Derangement syndrome- Maybe since Boeing stranded NASA's astronauts you've reconsidered your irrational refusal to see that Elon's Engineers are *FAR superior to anything NASA et all are doing. Don't let your disagreement with Free Speech/ Elon posts cloud the evidence before your eyes. Space X literally launches ~80% of everything, and if you're not persuaded by the synchronized double reusable rocket landing, there is no hope for you.
It is really amazing to see a private company doing things this incredible.....What I liked about the suit is how they managed to make the suit more flexible just by making custom suits for everyone a very simple idea but even I am surprised why this took so long before getting implemented
Thank you for your comment. These concerns have recently been brought to my attention and I'm looking into them now. Excited to share what I have coming next. Thanks again and happy holidays!
I feel like one of the benefits of the suit being smaller that I haven’t seen mentioned is that it can fit around the ship more easily, less bumpy and less hard bits on the outside means better to not hit things as you go past them.
This video is so misleading. These are IVA suits, and would be best compared to NASA's OCSS IVA suits which are being used for the Artemis missions. Comparing an IVA suit to an EVA suit is pointless, might as well compare a sports car to a tank.
What I'm most excited for is seeing Starship have reusable flights. The moment that SpaceX proves it can actually launch, land, and reuse both stages is probably going to be one of the biggest game changing moments in space history!
Why are you scamming your viewers by taking sponsors like established titles which clearly mislabel and try to scam users as there isn't any such thing as a lordship or ladieship you can buy from established titles ,i know they pay good money for you to scam on their behalf but is it worth at the cost of your viewers, some who may have been here since you started, seriously man, stop scamming people by advocating or taking sponsors from fraudsters....cause the titles are literally like nft's you own it but anyone use it and you can't put it on sale or use it in any legal means
I honestly can’t wait to see where this sleeker version of spacesuit technology takes us; we may be a long, long way off from space-faring adventures for the everyman, but seeing the beginnings of a movement to more user-friendly space technology is one of the most exciting things I could possibly imagine
Only recently got into all things space, but I'm very excited for the Artemis Program. Returning to the moon and laying the groundwork for flight towards Mars is riveting!
I was watching a documentary on the extreme skydiving from the stratosphere. Half the people who have ever tired have died because their tailor made pressure suits failed. It's not easy to make a pressure suit.
I'm most excited to have a lunar space station from the Artemis Mission. It's just the idea that humanity can always be around the moon and the enchancement to lunar missions that this space station will bring. I hope that we continue to develop these planetary observers.
I’m excited for the Artemis program as humans have not gone to the moon in such a long time as well as the starship program going along and seeing all the tests.
What I'm most looking forward to is the launch of Starship with the first group of Mars colonists. When I watched the Falcon Heavy test flight live, I was overwhelmed with excitement and feelings I cannot possibly describe with words. Now, watching the Starship begin its long journey with a bunch of brave people on board would be on a whole another level. Getting people to Mars will be a completely new era for humanity and I hope I will still be around to see it happen.
well they will be faking space forever so you will always have some entertainment but I can assure you there is no space and they are lying about where we are living.
Hello Primal Space. I understand that you need to cover the costs of making these awesome videos, but please, reconsider the sponsors you're partnering with. Established Titles is a scam and it markets itself with something that just isn't true. You *cannot* become a lord or lady by owning land in Scotland and this does *not* give you the legal right to have "lord" or "lady" as your title on official documents.
Thank you for your comment. These concerns have recently been brought to my attention and I am the process of dealing with this matter now. Thank you for your concern and continued support. I'm looking forward to sharing what's coming up next :) Happy Holidays!
Because it's not meant to be used outside (in a vacuum), so it's as good as a $5 t-shirt and a pair of boxers. Yet another overhyped snake oil by a world class snake oil salesman.
@@sprytnychomik except that the other designs including the NASA design this suit was contrasted to were given the same requirements - and I'm pretty sure no "$5 t-shirt and a pair of boxers" are built to withstand re-entry LOL
@@nathanielbird9552 The SpaceX suit is not EVA rated. It does not have the same level of life support systems to be independently functional for any amount of time. They are connected into the capsule to provide breathing air directly from the capsule life support systems in the event the capsule loses pressure and becomes a vacuum. The big bulky backpack on the NASA suits are an entire, self contained, life support system. I has the oxygen tanks, thruster propellent, HVAC systems, etc. You are effectively a mini space ship and need to be in order to leave the capsule. You can't wear a sealed pressure suit with life support systems for very long. Remember you're in a vacuum sealed container in space with no wind to cool your suit (and you) down and exhaling into a sealed suit is just as good as sealing a plastic bag over your head.
What are you talking about ? This Spacex suit is their improved version of Nasa interior life support suit , THE ORANGE ONE , Spacex version is a lot better , it is easy to put on , it as integraded control system , it allows more moviments ,it is superior in all ways compared with Nasa suit , why are you talking about another type of suit used for space walks and stuff , is it to make less of Spacex work? And don't worry they will make an exterior space walk suit complety autonomous and far better .
The fact that this is sponsored by established titles well after all that shit came out is enough to disqualify this channel from serious consideration.
I’m most excited on the Artemis program and seeing how Orion does in re-entry in the current mission and I also am excited for Space X’s upcoming missions and I’m really excited to see how the first Starship orbital test flight goes.
Thanks for this, I knew it was hard work but wasn't aware all that went into the pressure suits besides looking cool and keeping the astronauts alive in an emergency and cool/warm at all other times. Can't wait for the first starship launch.
3d printed helmets do none of that? This is a literal movie prop that is trash. Also, you like musk so you're an idiot. You're a disgrace to space fans.
