I hated this game so much as a teenager when it came out that I ran it over with my car to destroy it. It was mostly the Brian stealth parts that did it. I hate forced stealth.

Damn this game has such surprisingly good textures and just the rendering in general. I grew up with a hundred and one different 3D video games based off of 2D cartoons between 2000 to now and this game seems to pull it off so well compared to other titles

The Simpsons Hit and Run imo does it better and keeps the character models closer to the course material but the family guy video game still does it well.

Finding this video was a nice surprise. I love this game and truly believe it’s the greatest to speedrun. Someday I’ll be back. Thank you EZ! I would not have started running this game when I did if you hadn’t done your runs. This was a childhood game of mine and you reminded me how much I loved it back then. I’m so happy with how far the game has come. I never thought we’d be able to go so fast.

I love the humility of showing ToxicPinhead performing all of the advanced [WR] pace strategies that weren't done in your run. Very much so advances the viewing experience. It's like those videos that trended a little while ago. "Easy, Advanced, Expert" and it shows 3 different ways of doing something. You can do the game the normal way, you can do it the speed runner way, or you can go for the world record with every difficult strat done sequentially. You don't really touch often on "the intended way" because the Speedrun features very little ! But the concept still applies I feel. Definitely earned a sub.

This might not be relevant, but I remember when you first ran this game back in the day and the record was over 2 hours. One time in a stream, I asked why anyone would speedrun a game that takes that long and your answer was "because it's fun". I never pictured myself running a long game, but that answer changed my perspective a bit and now I speedrun a game that's 5 hours long haha. I guess I just appreciate you and other content creators for really getting me into speedrunning. Keep doing what you're doing 😁

I love speed runs because honestly, most modern games have 0 love into them. These old games have so many layers and so much effort into them that they are still fun to this day. I’ve been going back to the original paper Mario and working my way forward for a speed run. Surprisingly harder than I remember it being lmao.

My dyslexia flared up again and I thought the title said: "How Speedrunning Ruined My Family". As...interesting as that story would be, this video was pretty good too. I remember watching a playthrou of this a year or so ago just for fun. Always interesting to see how speedrunning effects games you've never seen it done to or haven't tried it yourself before. i knew about this glitch through toying around with the files, devs left some maps in with incorrect spawning points (i believe it was the title screen map?)
