Good points! I was an avid Clash Mini player, hardly missing a day of play time in those 2.5yrs. It REALLY stung when I heard this announcement for Squad Busters on CMs death. Like trampling their grave. I decided to try SB since I pre registered for COC rewards lol. Cant judge something before experiencing it right. And you are SPOT ON! Its sooooo addictive!! Couple things I saw as well to add to your reasons: the progression! CM had a hard time with resources and progression. This SC game is way different. Instead of paying to upgrade, you collect to upgrade and pay to earn more rewards and benifits in battle. Big reason the p2w aspect isn't toxic like Clash Royale is because you only need top 5 to get rewards. I understand why SB beat out CM. Its unfortunate we cant have both, but I'm glad I tried SB.
What do you think of the game now? Im gonna be honest I quit the game after 3 days and dont see the potential it has. Like I tho Squad busters is easily their worst game down to its core gameplay. I think clash mini has way more potential and should have gotten more effort out in to it even tho i didnt get to play.
@Chris-rj4bt Definitely had a thought a day or 2 ago about how I'm not as excited to play SB daily, unlike when I was playing CM. I'm getting most units up to 3* and still needing to unlock 6, lvl78, and I'm already kinda feeling like it's getting repetitive. So I may skip a day playing here and there, but on the positive side, it's still a very fun competitive game. Sometimes, I just want to farm trees and crops, get a comfy 4th or 5th, and other times I go hard and smash the others for a top spot. It can be very gratifying! Something an auto battler lacks: that adrenaline rush. We'll have to wait and see how they bring CM to CR and if it'll be worthy of the original.
I agree that clash mini was a fun game, but at the same time it always felt that it lacked something, that would keep me playing daily, sometimes I would go days without playing, most clubs barely had people online. It’s not about preference, the lack of people playing daily was there. By the way I’m 29. I’m taking from the perspective from someone that been playing supercell games for so many years now. It didn’t have that “it” factor that “Brawl Stars” has. The something that keeps making me come back.

The only thing to blame for clash mini's death were the devs. The devs were wonderful and so was the community manager. But overal execution of clash mini was awful. They had no plan going for them and decided to rush and upload clash mini to an open beta without it EVER closing. Almost 2 years of open beta and by the last update they still had no idea where to take the game. There was a vision with squad busters. No surprise here for why it went global
I agree about of supercell error about clash mini was not releasing globally, because I was actually interested about that game but was never able to play... and I feel like it makes no sense discontinue a game that took a lot of time to be made and yet launching other game globally that has not the same time on beta which can make me think that isn't even a finished game and probably not prepared for global launch... was great if they could lauch both globally but probably it wasn't possible, and yet they already discontinued so it means that sadly clash mini died without even being launched globally...

@@TruthMatters100they did basically force you in a way. The pre-registration rewards and most youtubers hyping it up even though it sucks ass (my opinion). The only reason the game is becoming popular is probably because all supercell games are turning too p2w which i predict in the future. squad busters will too. Squad Busters is basically just a copy of brawl stars gem grab but the characters are just different and you dont have to try hard (in squad busters you literally just stand and kill someone). And thats another reason, Squad busters dont have tryhards like those mortis mains or something like that. Squad busters doesnt require skill and overtime that will get boring. But overall mostly the things i said are my opinion and my friends own. I bet squad busters might die fast though due to it already bieng p2w kind of (those deals everyday that costs 10 dollars just to unlock a 3 star troop) whereas brawl stars or clash royale give so much more progression spending money on it.
if you get close to a strong player you are fricked you can’t get away and you can’t make a comeback also its literally p2w since keys and megas give you a major advantage also I have reached the third arena and I have gotten new characters out of chests twice, the chest and chest alone based progression is awful since whether a character you like gets stronger is fully rng and you don’t get enough coins to actually use in the shop

Get better bro I have spent all my gold on chests, therefore letting me progress so far (Already lvl 70 in beach world btw) Also you need to have a speedster to get away from a strong team. Don’t waste your sprint if you don’t have one. Megas are rare and out of the 400 games I have played I only got 10 mega units from chests 10/400 is a 1/40 chance. Also you can also use keys and also they are not unfair you can still win without using any keys. You can make comebacks by farming and using trader or pick off weaker characters from your opponent. You can get coins from creators giving you links, Do your quests, and claiming rewards from your squad journey. Get better before saying this stuff seriously.
@@all-in4it ok but what if the opponent also has speedsters also you can’t make a comeback if everyone around you is stronger and since you only need to make a comeback at the end of the game when all players are pushed together so no you just lose the game is just bigger number win. also doesn’t matter still p2w with how broken keys and megas are (a free fusion is pretty strong since its the equivalent of three chests) and what skill the game is just move and do nothing to attack the units you get in a game are random so there is not even any skill in that, and you move at a snails pace without boost which is really boring. also like in all, the chests I opened since launch day and I have played daily I only got two new units. and its not like I lose a lot of my matches I have won most of them even got more than 500 gems in a single game and yet I feel nothing except how I feel cheated when a guy with a mega or a ton of fusions just happens to pass by and i’m helpless to do anything since you can’t run and its literally impossible to win the fight, squad busters has neither skill nor strategy and unlocking new spells just seems tedious and you only get 3 chests until you have to wait actual hours.
Squad busters appealed to a larger fandom because it had characters from most games while clash mini only appealed to clash of clans and clash royals fans

Based, they can't find a way to hard monetize an auto chess (a genre f2p friendly since born) that's why they cancelled it. Also they release Squad busters so fast because it's basically an ad game for all their other games (like a lego the movie)

I found both games fun. I was sad that it was scrapped but however I did hear they're using the clash mini concept somewhere else in another game. No hate pls but i am quite enjoying SB as of rn since I enjoy some parts of the game😊. And i do miss playing clash mini and hope it will be reused someplace else
I played both, and I think that Clash Mini is more unique. The only reason why Squad Busters is going global is because of the promotion from the influencers and the other supercell games.

Nah they don't have to delete clash mini, I really enjoyed that game and I have maxed everything even tho I'm f2p. I wish it would come back. I love squad busters now, but I wish both of them still co-exist
What I want in this game is to add those character in clash mini Those character who are specifically only for clash mini example are swordman the battle giant and even those hero I forgot about it but the shield maiden or the mermaid king

I think another problem was is how supercell didn't know how to monetize clashmini. Iirc it had to switched progressions systems alot or change currencys which could have lead to its downfall. Eitherway i hope squad busters does well and get better overtime since even for me who wanted to play clash min, i don't wanna see a game that still has charm to die the same fate.
For clash mini for me, the game became to repetitive. Basically like clash royal. Also clash mini was missing something to make me want to return to the game. Games like brawl stars, for example, there is always something to do especially for progression. From getting your daily drops, to completing the quests. Squad busters has this too with the chests and quests you have to do. Clash mini was simply boring after playing a couple of matches
Supercell is a genius I hate it. Because normally people don’t rlly like moving on to another game when they progressed a ton on one game making another game fairly similar with brawlstars and a little like hay day easily pulls in players
As a kinda brawl stars fan, i LOVE squad busters, idk why but i just liked it way more than brawl stars, and i didn’t even p2w yet i still had fun… unlike certain games that you basically have to p2w to have fun (CLASH ROYALE) i never played clash mini but it never really looked like my type of game

i was really bounded with clash mini playing it for the frist until the last day and i was almost top 1000 globaly,still i think they should have launched the game like they did with BS,it had a 50% chance of getting losed but they launched it anyway but games like Boom Beach are far worse then CM,who says that someone likes Boom Beach they're just liyng,till clash mini should have launched globaly and the ywant to put CM into a CR gamemode to make CR alive again (and make more money) but it won't hit the same as CM did

SQUAD BUSTERS seems to be a very good game, but it can't beat Brawl Stars. Brawl Stars In comparison Is very appealing to its audience, less pay-to-win that Clash Royale which is the only competition to Bs when it comes to competitiveness and pvp. At the same time its. Clash Of Clans can't compete with the competitiveness of Bs. Boom Beach itself is a soft version CoC, Hay Day is a bit different but ofc its a farming casual audience based game. Maybe Sb would more likely be a lesser version of Bs and stay in that state unless Bs completely messes up like they did in 2020.
Clash mini progress rate is really suck you can play for week and got nothing new After I play Squad buster I feel like it have the same problem but not as worse Others than collecting thousands or ten thousands of troop to unlock the upgrade This game still have like hundred of game modifier , a lot of map, spell to play around When clash mini has just 2 game mode and 1 modifier per day and it's really repetitive And yeah also strategy game temd to have small player base than battle game
clash mini is nothing like royale the only similarity is that both contain the word clash one is a real time strategy game(?) and the other is an auto-chess game

Idk, maybe they killed clash mini for looking too similar to clash royale? Think about it, they sell these games for the general audience, if you show to a normie a pic of clash royale and clash mini side to side they would think it's the same game. Just for the record I am having tons of fun in squad busters but I cannot deny how pay to skip it is. The payed season pass gives just soooo many coins in comparison to the free one, like over 10 times more it's ridiculous, the game can die fast if they keep at it.

Honestly i don't even like squad busters, is kinda boring, i loved clash mini so much, i played since the first update and watched the game grow, im just really sad that it was deleted
honestly squad busters sucks its a game where rng hell and p2w is basically in every part of the game, your only progression is from chests and the shop the chests have an extremely low chance of actually containing a new unit (I have played until the third arena and have gotten a new character from chests twice) also you have no control over which units you upgrade since its random and you get one unit per chest also you have a max of 3 chest tickets and it takes hours to regain them and the shop isn’t much better the new units are far too expensive to even consider getting and what units and in what amounts they get sold is also completely random. even the gameplay is p2w since you have keys which allow you to basically get a free chest, epic or fusion instantly and megas are also p2w since they are significantly stronger than all the other units and they are a finite resource and only free in one modifier also the gameplay itself sucks since you move extremely slow without boost but if you don’t have boost you can’t run from other players but thats all useless if they are stronger than you because you can’t win from them and you can’t run from them and even if you win barely the losses will be massive the game is just bigger number win and if you get chased by a stronger opponent you lose and losses hurt a lot since you get worse chests and lose your streak and all progression is chest based. also the maps have character specific objects but if you don’t have those specific characters they are worthless, and when you get a character in a match you aren’t just offered characters you have you get given the whole character pool and thus have less options to choose from sometimes you have only one character to pick from and that spot could have included a character you actually owned. not to mention squad busters is just one of those shitty cashgrab mobile games with a nice coat of paint

There is no way they shut down clash mini for this shit game bro. Can we all just stop the bs and say it how it is. Supercell did not cook with this game. Its just bad in every way imagineable. Automated combat, zero depth, insane p2w, very repetitive gameplay. Its just obvious that the only reason this got global and clash mini got shut down was cuz this was p2w af. I mean the numbers speak for themselves as of right now Squad Busters has 2.9 stars on play store.
@aral8584 yes the game is complete garbage. As of now the game is at 2.8 stars on Google play. I can see how people who want play a brain dead game might enjoy it. However most people who look for a game tend to want stuff with more depth and something that isn't extremely p2w.
I am going to give this game 1 month. After that the game îs dead. It can be saved with an major update that adds onather game mode like în brawl stars. AND IT needs a rework of the battle sistem it needs to be more strategyc
