You can break the caps. Similar to ncaa 07 just no where near as powerful (that would bust out high 90’s on physical abilities)

The stat cap breaker abilities can be very useful if you can fit them into your coach build.

Not sure if someone else has already noticed this but if you get a guy who already has a lot of caps and change his position is caps will change which would then allow him to progress more the next year then switch him back to his original position with better stats.

Important 👍 I had a HB5 (no gem) that was normal. Had to redshirt him cuz he was behind a 93 RB and I missed a few guys in recruiting. I checked and he had sooo many caps. Kept him as he was a good number 2 RB in SO (RS) year as an 88 but he maxed out like 95. Have a 4 star JR (RS) RG that’s a 99 elite. He has 5 caps total 😮

I'm very picky with my Quarterbacks. Guys that cant become elite running QBs cant function in the Spread Option effectively. I will still sign 5⭐️ Field Generals if I can, but they might get thrown in the transfer portal so a 4⭐️ running QB can play.

A lot of three star gems can hit mid 80s either an elite back up or a clutch fill in for a graduating player

I got two 4-star gem WRs in the same class that are already at their caps as freshmen. Such BS. I wasted resources on max 75 overall guys.

recently on my unc save i was stuck with 3 center 1 rs freshman in the low 70s with basically all his cap maxed ,a 68 sr and a true freshman in the mid 60s. i played the 70s rs freshman and his caps were raised and the next season he was and 81 with higher caps

What did I do wrong: I had an absolutely generational DB class. Everyone was between 78-82 overall with 99 speed, all 4 star and 5 star gems with elite dev trait. It’s now their SR year and only 1 hit 90 overall… the other 4 are 82-85. I didn’t red shirt their FR year, 2 of the 5 dbs have 30 interceptions throughout their career, and their skill cap is still far from being maxed. I also have motivator Skill tree(and my assistant coachs do too). Ik this was a long ahh question but if anyone could give me some tips🙏

With positions like cornerback I think red shirting is important since it’s hard to directly build them. It’s probably a mix of coach packages, not red shirting, and bad luck with end of season upgrades

You need to turn up the XP Siders in settings. You can control how much xp specific positions get in the settings.

I had a 99 overall receiving back and a 97 overall deep threat wide receiver. Both were redshirt sophomores and both went pro after the season. So it’s hard for me to get excited about having good recruits.

That’s the only thing that sucks lol. Recruit doesn’t build and you are upset, if you get lucky and they build quickly… they leave to the league

Earning attributes is frustrating - I have a 76 overall freshmen WR with star and only stat caps are physical …he has 1100 yards and 10 plus touchdowns through 9 games but has stayed a 76 Oh and congrats on a lot more subs then you had last time I watched a video

I have a 91 ovr, normal dev, 1 star, jr. guard. So it is possible to have a guy start around a 60-70 ovr. And end their career end in the 90s.

I have a 3 star Quarterback with 4 stat caps and a 5 star Quarterback with 9 stat caps, but I was under the impression that stat caps and stars were parallel. Is that not the case?

They aren’t, unfortunately. It seems they are mostly tied to dev, in the sense that better dev players are more likely to have less caps. But nothing is a guarantee in CFB 25.

After the last video, I've noticed it truly is totally random. Had a 4* Gem WR that was already close to capped as a freshman. Also something to consider, are the ratings bumps from Tactician separate from their cap totals? Wouldn't someone in the mid-upper 80's get close to 90 with the tactician boosts?

Tactician is separate from the caps, correct. The boosts would bring them up, but also it would be better to develop a guy who naturally gets to 90 and the boosts get them to 95+.

So when recruiting is there any indications what their stat cap may be? Or is this just determined after they have signed. For example do 💎 have higher probability of potential and less caps

Determined after they signed. I think the gem correlates more with the dev trait rather than the caps.

Probably playing style, I try having a good running game and passing game and my playing style with my WR/RB/QB/TEs are great because I spread the ball, usually get 300-400 passing yards and spread the ball and I also try to get 100-200 yards rushing with 1-2 RBs, getting started atleast 100-150 yards and getting backup 50yds and at least 1td, I stop losing them to portal at least with the playing style, now playing time well you can’t control that
