Anyone notice that boilers with cyclone and dryer in the steam drum (like Mechmar boilers) has grooves and indents on the top wall? It doesn't look like corrosion due to oxygen (like in waterside), is it erosion corrosion from fast moving steam (gas)?

Should we start the id fan first or the fed fan when starting the operation

With our natural gas boiler, everything is hard-wired in such a way that the FD fan won't even start unless the ID fan is running. So, I believe that starting the ID fan first is the best. It probably has to do with ensuring that any possible dust or fumes always exit via the intended exhaust path and not into areas with personnel or vulnerable equipment.

CCK 07 “TPH” is the capacity of boiler, or we can say the rate at which the boiler produces steam. Now, If I get your question right, the capacity of the boiler is dependent on the heat added (amount of fuel required) to heat x amount of feed water. Of course it does depend on many other variables and owing that certain conditions are met.
