Amazing! I'm just over a week old in steemit, and still blundering around. I almost just wanna quit, and do what I love to, and write. I tried getting HOW TOO help on youtube, and all I got were newbies, trying to teach newbies? I'm not judging, I'm sure they mean well. But I decide to try other venues for help? However, last night I saw your post, almost by accident, your face seemed trustworthy, so I opened your post, and a whole new positive world opened to me in steemit. Gonna head on over, and follow you. Thanks a million!

Can you upvote on a 3 day old post? Can you benefit from it.?

Everything I earn goes into Steem Power and also US Dollars. Which is fine...I guess. But should I be converting either or both of them into something else like Steem Dollars or Steem or both? And can I? Thanks

would it be wrong to upvote my own content right away after posting it? to collect 100% profits. I mean, after all, it is my content?

There is a lot of confusion from people interpreting the steemit FAQ. Many people believe if the author upvotes themselves, the minnows get nothing from voting on it. Can the minnow earn more than the fraction of a penny their vote is worth? I do not understand the reward split between curators of a post.

Please look at everyone’s wallets that up voted your post. It doesn’t add up to 25%. I normally get .001 to .005 for curation. Does not add up....

The amount you earn for your curation (upvote) depends on the strength of your upvote (100%?) and how much Steem Power you hold. But 25% of the earnings for each post is split between all people who upvoted depending on the time they upvoted, the strength of their upvote, and how much Steem Power they hold. Those who have more Steem Power get more of the rewards.

Hi, I have a question... I invested most of the money I have been trading with over the last few months on Binance into STEEM coins the day they made it to the exchange. I was actually about to just cash out and walk away because of all of the awful and sinister, wild wild west practices and burns and scandals that have infected the market over the last few weeks. Anyways... I was trading out all of my alt-coins to one solid crypto I could use to withdraw it all out with at the same time when I saw STEEM had been listed. I decided to just trade everything for STEEM and walk away from day trading for a while. My question is, because I have no intention of day trading at this time, and I just started blogging on steemit.com - would it make more sense for me to deposit all of my purchased STEEM coins over to a wallet on steemit.com? Aside from them being worth about 10 cents more on steemit then Binance... would me maybe converting them to this steem power stuff or just keeping STEEM in my wallet on steemit.com have any benefits I would not otherwise have by leaving them in binance? Thanks

Yes, I personally only have Steem in my Steemit account. Reason being is that as a blogger on Steemit it allows you to earn more curation rewards and it also makes your upvote worth more. So if I were you I would Power Up that Steem to Steem Power in your Steemit account.

ok, so forgive me for sounding lame... but when you said you only have Steem... did you mean like you don't hold any "coins"?... but you have Steem. So I guess that Steem power is not a coin? I saw in the white paper that steemit.com holds the power for 13 weeks. Then what happens after that? Do they turn them back into STEEM coins? SBD? or is that power used up? ...On higher credits for curation during the 13 weeks? If they return the power to STEEM coins, is there an option to keep it as power? BTW, if I am asking too many questions I'm sorry. I just have read hundreds of white papers and smart contracts and predictions and histories and timelines, ect for months...( Along with scandals, heist stories, Hollyfield, Tether, China, Korea, Bloodbath, visa, pay pal, JP Morgan, audits, ) Its nice to get a straight answer from someone who seems in the know. In short, do you think I should move all my STEEM from binance to steemit.com? If so I should buy Power? (I wont ask any more questions, promise) Again, Thanks much!

Steem Power is Steem (just powered up). So it's the same thing but powered up which gives you "power" on the Steemit platform. And yes, it takes 13 weeks to withdrawal if you're ever wanting to withdrawal from your account. At that point it powers down to regular Steem which you can trade on the open market for any other crypto. I don't see myself ever withdrawing, at least not for many years. But yes, I personally wouldn't hold Steem anywhere else but on the Steemit platform (powered up) as it is beneficial for my Steemit account.

100 % for the curator after 30 minutes sounds wierd to me. Does that mean that the author only gets money during the first 30 minutes and after 30 minutes he doesnt earn any more money for his post? Its confusing on steemit. The whole platform is like a labyrinth of hidden things you need to know. :/
