I was already a fan from the first preview of the Veil-Touched, but after the new campaign and this video, I’m extremely impressed by not just the quality, but the toughness of the models - capturing that level of detail in such a. Durable frame is a feat in itself. You’re a pretty cool dude, Dave. I’m gonna have to pick this up (my wife can’t stand plastic glue fumes, so the pre-build/push-fit is a huge win). Rock on!
i got my minis and love their heft, they feel great in the hand and i have accidently dropped one of my big armored bois and he just bounced weapon bent a tiny bit which just went back to normal, perfectly fine. any other mini i've handled and dropped warps or breaks. i absolutely love your guys ravage star minis!! and now i know how to fix any bending and warping with my minis!!!
So, if I really wanted to "customize" or do some sort of kit bashing with my models, I can actually disassemble them from where it was glued. And to find out which parts were glued, I just chuck them at the wall lol
I recently got my Veil-Touched from the first campaign, and was happy to find how durable they are especially as I am a very clumsy person. Had a laugh by scaring my mates as after I showed them some of the newly painted ones, I proceeded to chuck it past them at the wall. They all had heart attacks till they saw that it was completely fine
I'm curious how soft and bendy the models are. You've been showing off how bendy the tentacles on the one large model are. Is all the plastic that bendy? Could you possibly show how rigid/bendy the plastic is in one of your videos?
Hi, how do they hold up with heat? Im from the middle east and it can get fairley hot im concerned with shipping. Can you let me know at what temperature they start to warp?
This video should come with a content warning lol, I was flinching every time a mini hit something hard. Or maybe a "Only some minis were harmed in the making of this video" lol
Pretty interesting testing procedures. Keep up the good work and May your campaign ever reach new highs. Side question: do you ever see a return to Dark Potential? It had some interesting concepts that I am sure you guys could very easily punch up and bring back from the depths and f the closet. Take care.
I just pledged the big 'whim of dark gods' package . I cant wait for my massive shipment of minis in 2025~! ALSO RU-vid UNSUBBED ME!? I was subbed years before I did my pledge! im calling some fast algorithmic hands!
The first thing I thought of when I saw this video was Napolean Dynamite, when his brother Kip ran over a Tupperware container with Uncle Rico's van, in front of that lady, to prove it's durability, and it exploded... haha It seems that the Ravaged Star minis are more durable than Tupperware! Sold!
You know, I was a little disappointed on the gamefound page, it felt a little too serious, too, "ok, new unlock, thank you for your support." I'm so glad I hopped over to RU-vid today. 😂
We’re glad too. THIS video is a great representation of the fun and feeling not just with the project but the team in general. We’re community-driven. We have guests that come from all over to play games with us and we showcase that fun in our battle reports.
Got my pledges today and I’m just wondering; there anything out there that will dissolve your industrial strength glue? Thinking of doing some head swaps
If you know your miniwargaming history, having an entire army able to be knocked off a table for Dave is a big deal. His classic deamon prince fell off a table and broke off his sword like 18 years ago, he tried everything to save it but there was no saving the sword arm. Now he builds a whole gaming system with models that can have a whole car drive over it
I saw some skaven rat people models a wile ago and was thinking the same thing then. It would be helpful if one was to do conversions. well ventilated ... that stuff smells @@miniwargaming
I do love PVC for big monsters, etc. Also for the first Bones KS they showed that even the paint job could survive quite a bit. The downside is leaving stuff in a hot car will make for some drooping. And narrow ankles or other supporsts, will often bend over time. Ravaged Star's formulation is a bit different I'm sure.
