The real thing on him was how he lost his life at a young age and had the growth potential of Madara and first hokage. If he was able to perfect the rasengan and even get sage mode every village would fear anyone with blonde hair.

I think Kishimoto meant for minato to be the strongest hokage for sure. I think what happened was that when naruto got continued the main antagonist had to change to madara. Seeings as hashirama already beat madara he had to be stronger. So I that kishimoto changed the narrative tbh. It has always erked me, Because I thought it was way cooler that minato was the strongest seeings as he is more of a genius rather than just having super human cells

@@LightningSnow_ imo Prime Hiruzen is at or _slightly_ above Base Hashirama, and where Hashirama has SM as a power on top.... Prime Hiruzen has immense versatility and Battle IQ on top to cover that disadvantage of not having a SM. I still think SM Hashirama beats FP Prime Hiruzen but it's extremely close and an ez argument can be made for Prime Hiruzen instead

Minato is the most wanked character simply because his abilities are the most misunderstood. They use his speed as a crutch, which is unquantifiable. And quite frankly it's an abstract concept, meaning you could be completely off-base and not even realize it. To put it bluntly, Minato is overhyped because people are the embodiment of the Dunning-Kruger effect.

tobirama says minato's body flicker is faster than his so i don't get why his speed isn't quantifiable + minato's chakra reserves have to be at least half of kurama even after fighting obito and teleporting a tailed beast bomb so i don't get where he gets wanked, those are pretty great feats. his rasengan also has to scale to a tailed beast bomb from the minato manga, even if you say it wasn't fully formed or was being suppressed minato literally had a hole in his chest so it's pretty fair

Also, Tobirama’s statement about “you’re better at teleporting than me” after Minato arrives at the battlefield is not talking about FTG, it’s talking about his Shunshin (body flicker teleportation) which is movement speed. You can see in previous chapters that Shunshin (body flicker) is translated as “teleportation” like when Tobi says to Deidara about Sasuke “his teleportation is too fast for both of us!” After Sasuke cuts him in half. Clearly Sasuke doesn’t have FTG. Shunshin is when you move so fast it looks like teleportation.

Man used body Flickr in front of the entire shinobi alliance, obito, edo madara and the ten tails without being seen.. teleported a 10 tails biju, and helped with the attack on juubito by switching places. Kcm2 Minato used body Flickr in front of kcm Naruto and EMS sasuke combined attack so fast, they were both suprised

You have to think about why Minato and even hiruzen to a lesser degree are the ones brought up more often than Hashirama and Tobirama is because of the age gap. There isn’t anyone or enough people alive in the timeline of Naruto who would’ve known the true power of Hashirama.

Hey Lightningsnow. Nice vid man. Wanted to correct you on just one thing tho, flying raijin isn't considered a teleportation technique, but in a few guides was named a space/time ninjutsu that opens a wormhole like fabric in space that Minato then travels through. Which means Flying Raijin isn't teleportation but transportation.

Tbh ppl take the power scaling from the Minato one shot too seriously. Kishimoto’s a writer first and foremost, not a power scaler, and he’d prioritise having nice heartwarming moments like Minato saving the love of his life by defeating Kurama over the power scaling making sense any day of the week. I mean how tf could it be that Hokage Minato’s rasengan didn’t OHK Obito but a teenage Minato’s rasengan was more powerful than a fkn bijuu bomb??? I mean come on

@MFShro0m He placed the mark after he landed the rasengan, not before. Killing him would've been better overall, but he also doesn't know what other abilities Obito had. The mark is also a death sentence since it can never be removed, and Obito didn't know that. If he lived, Minato could've easily assasinated him back in his hideout and get whatever intel he needed.

When talking about the strongest Hokage, it isn’t referring to 1v1 abilities. It’s your capabilities to complete missions and task that benefit your village. So Minato may lose in a fair 1v1 but his assassin capabilities and ftg can help better on gathering Intel, assassinating, complete more missions because of his ability to teleport around the world instantly.

Your comment does not make much sense. First off, tell us how often the hokage goes out to do missions. Their mission completion capability is not what people fear/respect. They lead and fight nations. Second, give us a few examples of someone highly respected or feared for their ability to deliver intel quickly or whatever. I can think of.....Kabuto. Third, explain how their 1v1 power isnt what makes them when literally every hokage is remembered for who they fought in the ninja wars and/or what abilities they fight with. This extends beyond kage as well. Chiyo, Sakumo, Fugaku, Hanzo, Shisui, Kinkaku, Ginkaku, 7 swordsman of the mist, amd many others are known for the same things. In a ninja world, ninjas fight.

I think Minato’s performance against the 9 tails in the one shot definitely scales him above sage mode Naruto from the pain arc/turtle island. No real way to get around it. He beat the full powered 9 tails, with less help than Naruto got against half of the 9 tails.

I see the hype about Hashirama but I don't see him hitting Minato like at all. Minato is able to blitz his own [Flying Rajin] timers which is objectively faster than Hashirama, in yes he has good durability and regen but if Heavily fatigued teen Minato's [Rasengan] is equal or even greater than a nine tails [Tailed Beast Bomb]. I think it's safe to say 3-4 [Rasengan's] from Hokage Minato to the face should be fatal at least.

That was potentially equal to a charging restrained Bijuubomb, and that was when Minato was a chakra ghost so his physical condition wouldn't have effected his output just his time duration. Hashirama is out here treating the full thing like a little pet, even when Kurama is enhanced by Madara's Perfect Susanoo. We were also shown that Sage Naruto, who would at the very least be in the same league of destructive force as Minato, not be able to even get through Madara's basic Susanoo.

HYPOTHETICAL: Minato chucks one of his marked kunai with all his strength to where it goes hurling into space. Now if he wants he can instantaneously teleport anyone he likes to wherever that kunai is at and come back before the effects of space hit him. Hax but theoretically possible.

@@Friendly_G So I don't think that's really how it happens exactly, it's still HELLA impressive but that was a limitted chained Kurama and the bijudama was incomplete and kinda small, and I see it more as Minato's rasengan exploding with the Bijudama in contact and knocking both of them, so it's not Minato beating Kurama bijudama but just making it react and explode, also in that situation a kcm1 Naruto would have ACTUALLY and fully so much easier beaten Kurama Also besides that I just don't think we can take the one shot in much consideration, I love the Minato and Kushina story and the rasegan origin but everything besides that makes no sense and contradicts almost all of Naruto's story and lore, like Roshi and Han being at least almost perfect jinchuriki when only the Mizukage and Bee were and THEN Naruto So unless you think it's a retcon which still would make no sense and would damage the story, I don't like to take it in much consideration, I love the story between Minato and Kushina and the rasengan but everything else I kinda ignore

@@rolion4424 I don’t know, bro, even with Sage mode I have a hard time putting over KCM1 he was carrying the war and soloing Kage level threats with shadow clones and fending off multiple biju version 2 tailed beasts I just don’t see minato pulling off that kind of feat +1000 shadow clones is really hard to get through realistically it’s just a needle in the haystack at that point and he’s going to burn out

But WA kakashi isnt stronger than minato WA kakashi is still not stronger than minato though imo most of his power comes from his ranged kamui which just wouldnt work on minato since minato is way faster than him and if we bring in kcm it's a stomp for minato seeing that he fights on par with naruto

@abnrml5452 nah WA Kakashi is crazy cracked, he's definitely beating alive Minato. He can Kamui the entire 8 Tails and continue fighting. Plus his Taijutsu is on another level than minatos. They are both intelligent but Kakashi shows more Battle IQ and versatility. And Kakashi kept up with and worked in tandem with KCM Minato and KCM2 Naruto and EMS Sasuke, base Hokage minatos speed isn't a problem

@@thmistrapillay1811 those where them not activly going fast when naruto first got kcm he was to fast for kakashi to understand what he was seeing, also he needs to use a small kamui on minato cuz he can tp out if he does his entire body and it's harder to land smaller hits.

@abnrml5452 what makes you put Orange Mask Obito above the Obito Minato fought in terms of stats? Besides his age there isn't much that shown in terms of improvement, Orange Mask Obito most note worthy feats are against Konan and that fight would've been absolutely one sided if Konan hadn't prep.

@@youngsway8696 we know two things for a fact, orange mask obito is more experienced with kamui ( as it's common sense and a product of time ) and we know he has more chakra was it's shown multiple times that chakra comes with age. Orange mask obito is also above pain and sm naruto is stated above minato and pain > sm naruto untill the war arc, so this would put orange mask over minato indirectly. Or equal to minato because minato is stated bellow kcm 1 and naruto sm is stated above minato so it's consitant that these versions of naruto > minato. so obito would be > minato which would put him > yellow mask becuase yellow mask got bodied by minato. Even if you want to say minato is above sm naruto contradiction to statements then he's still bellow kcm 1. And we see how obito white mask fairs againts kcm naruto and obito white mask didnt get soem big physical amp

Hokage Kakashi dogs on Minato, especially alive Minato. Boruto anime Kakashi beats him so badly it isn't even funny, and even the weaker novel version is given Hashirama the fade.

@@LightningSnow_ I do agree kakashi surpasses him but there is one thing I want to talk about the mental landscape it was stated by B if he went in Naruto he would be weaker and since Minato is in Kushina mental landscape he should be even weaker with the hole in his chest while naruto had no hole in chest, stronger as this is his mental landscape also having an older Kushina chains helping while Minato also had to help correct the seal with it shown that the nine tail hand was in his stomach and he still did it.

Hokage at 23. Fastest man without hax to ever live. Held his own against Tobi + 9 tails. Almost killed Tobi with one rasengan keep in mind he had Hashirama cells or else that boy dead as hell. Minato stomps any shinobi ever apart from Madara and Hashirama and of course their incarnates Naruto and SASUKE with god like powers gifted not earned. Keep in mind also, Minato isnt a Senju Uchiha Uzumaki or a fkn Hyuga. Hes from a no name clan yet he perfected the jutsu Tobirama created even better than him.

@@ed-fmhe doesn't stomp tobirama but he could definitely beat him one on one knowing that his rasengan can scale to a tailed beast bomb if he wants it to, and his chakra reserves can be proven to be at least 60% of kurama and likely upwards of 70%, anyone else in the universe (pre-boruto) bar the ones you said i think minato stomps

As much as adorable he is, I gotta admit he is the most overrated character in the series. People seem to be impressed with him in the childhood. Fukasaku stated SM Naruto surpassed Minato, young Bee reacted and countered his attacks, also Bee stated amaterasu Sasuke was the strongest opponent he ever fought against. His intelligence is also ridiculously overrated due to his victory over Obito, but he just realized that Obito had to materialize himself to attack, and that's so obvious lol.. Danzo's bodyguards did the same for the same amount of time

There is a misunderstanding. Killer Bee did not react to the Flying Raijin, but he was prepared in case Minato teleported behind him. Regarding Killer Bee's statement about Mangekyou Sharingan Sasuke being the strongest opponent he faced depends on the context. Killer Bee did not really fight Minato in comparison to Sasuke battling against Killer Bee on his own. Although, Killer Bee probably meant by his personal experience and perspective rather than judging the absolute power levels of his opponents since various battles may present unique challenges and as a result leave a different impression on a shinobi. Different matchups are also essential to understand. Perhaps, Sasuke left an impression on Killer Bee that he is unique, but that doesn't mean that Sasuke back then is stronger than Minato. Other than that, Minato is one of the strongest non-Kekkei Genkai Shinobi to ever lived. Also, Danzou's bodyguards had intel about Obito's Kamui before they battled him. Just watch the battle again, in which one of them said "It seems he can slip through objects after all". Obito's Kamui is not difficult to figure out, but how to counter it. In Minato's circumstances, he had little to no time to battle Obito because he had to save the village, and protect Kushina and Naruto as well. It is not an easy feat, and yet he managed to figure out Kamui's weakness in a matter of minutes or seconds, and in addition to that, removed Obito's control from Kurama. Konan analyzed Obito's Kamui and prepared herself. When Kakashi and his squads battled the fun Tobi for the first time, they had no idea about how to counter Kamui, but figured it out later. It took them longer time to analyze Kamui's ability. This proves to us that Minato's intelligence is not overrated, but actually underrated. In the War Arc, he was definitely nerfed because of the writing, but he also couldn't believe it was Obito who was behind the Kurama attack. He was mentally affected in some way and did not want to battle his own student.

Only problem with that is that minato when he fought obito before he died was extremely fatigued with him using the ftg so times minds that a very draining justu to Do along with the fact that he had to go against obito and the nine tails and had to do the reaper death seal and seal half the nine tails in naruto and the other half in his self before he died.

If you think SM Naruto is stronger than Minato you clearly misunderstood the statement. SM Naruto wasn’t even stronger than Pain, yet Minato thought Naruto needed to master Kurama’s power to beat Obito.. who Minato beat with relative ease.
