In this video, we highlight how sustainable hunting makes a positive impact on game, the wildlands, and local communities.
We are taking you on an epic hunt into the heart of the Arctic in pursuit of a trophy walrus. This adventure not only documents how to hunt in some of the most inhospitable landscapes, it shows first-hand how the amazing Inuit community was able to benefit from the expedition.
Amazing people, unforgettable views and an epic journey lie ahead. We hope you enjoy this incredible hunt for a giant Walrus in the arctic.
Sustainable hunting is one of the most valuable tools in the preservation of land and wild game. The future of wild animals across the globe is dependent on our ability to sustain their constantly shrinking habitat.
So the question remains. How does hunting help sustain and preserve the wildlands?
It’s actually very simple, the local communities depend on the revenue generated from hunters. They also greatly benefit from the meat harvested during the safaris that take place on their land.
Because of this, the game is protected and the habitat preserved.

I am a hunter and in my opinion this doesn't represent a true sportsman. it was simply shooting an animal to say that you shot one. Yeah you can build it up as a challenging stalk, and that the meat won't go to waste. But the locals have lived and thrived in that region for centuries without needing someone to come shoot their food for them. Rich guys like yourself is what's driving up the price of hunting in general. Making it hard on us Blue collared guys. Pathetic to say the least.

@AHuntersQuest Год назад
Mario, the walrus mount( which is a replica) is to remind me of the great experience I had with Inuit on a hunt that get meat for the local community to get them through the winter. The walrus has become a valuable resource for them, they get money coming in and all the meat. because of that , they are now protecting the animal that almost got wiped out 40 years ago. Sustainable hunting is the best tool to make sure wild animals are going to be around. I understand you might have a issue with trophy room but for me it has been a great tool to educate people( especially young kids) to the animals that exist around the globe and how we can protect them.

Adriano, all good questions. Cannot bring back the walrus parts to the U.S.. due to the marine act but made exact replicas of the ivory and have a mount with my polar bear in my trophy room. Will highlight this in a trophy room video we will do next year. Meat has alot of fat and they utilized the blubber for oil. We spent alot of time finding the oldest male, one that was not part of the breeding cycle and also provided the most meat for the Inuit. A old bull is about a 1,000 pounds heavier than a regular bull. Most people that have commented thought the shot was easy. The reason it was difficult despite begin close, is the walrus had to be dropped its tracks or else it goes into the water and is lost. The highlight of the hunt for me was watching them take over 2500 pounds of meat off that island. I’ve hunted all my life. I’ve butchered rabbits on my grandparents farm as a 10 year old. I have no desire to hunt or read about hunting a walrus. Why, because I wouldn’t eat one, and it would be like shooting fish in a barrel. I didn’t watch this video because I find the act of hunting one of these disgusting.

Martin, it is a traditional and important hunt for the Inuit and one that is important for them as a source of food. It was one of the most extraordinary hunting experiences I have been a part of. Of course I totally understand it’s not for everyone but nevertheless a necessary hunt for the Inuit village.
