That's a beautiful bundle of scraps! I have a lot of these bags in hopes of doing a strip quilt, but some I used to make design boards and crafty items. I received one that I was not happy with, but God knew what I needed. I opened the bag, and it was all the same fabric! I was a little upset, but then God kind of nudged me to a small quilt that I wanted to bind and was afraid to (first time), and I was like, I can use it for binding this quilt! I was so excited after that! Have a wonderful day and stay warm next Monday! God Bless!

Love the snowflake fabric i live near South Bend Indiana near Notre Dame college we have been getting snowy weather and we are getting below zero cold weather this weekend.

I always think I would love snowy weather because all we get here is wet ice and mud. Very yucky. We are anticipating 10 degrees down here Sunday night/Monday morning. So that means I have to go in to work at midnight.

This fabric line is very beautiful. Love the Winter flurries. Can't wait to see what you do with this line. Texas will be getting the Arctic blast also... I am not looking forward to it, but I am keeping warm and hope you do the same.

Oh Cheryl! I have been watching the weather all day (partly because my job is affected by it) and see where Texas will be getting winter weather. It is anticipated that we will get the worst part Monday and Tuesday. We are currently under a high wind advisory. Please stay safe and warm. And I agree, I can't wait to start a project with these fabrics.

I love the Moda scrap bags, but I recently discovered the Ruby Star Scrap Bags. They are a little more expensive (here in the UK at least) and those strips are about 4.5 to 5 inches wide. Love your videos. I only discovered your channel during Vlogmas, but really enjoy seeing all the things you make :)

Oh thank you! I have gotten 2 of the Ruby Star Society scrap bags and the fabric selections weren't my style (even though they were very nice fabrics) and that might have just been the luck of the draw but both bags were from the same line. Beautiful fabrics. Since your strips have selvage along the entire edge, you can tell they are cut along the length of the fabric. Jelly roll strips have selvage on each edge. Your strips will have slightly less stretch than a width of fabric cut would. Your fabrics will be great if you want selvage to show on the front of your quilt.

I have been trimming the selvage plus 1/4 inch of all the fabrics I have gotten and saving it to have a scrappy selvage quilt. I can't wait to see what it turns into.

Yes that is what it looks like but still beautiful. I am sure I can come up with something fabulous even with this amount.

Not yet but I have been looking. I think I found one where several strips are all sewn together and then cut at an angle and put together like a diamond.

It follows a jelly roll pattern that I found. Now if I can just figure out how much I need.
