Well to be fair po was using panda style Kung Fu, A defensive martial arts style that Tai lung(And shifu) was not at all familiar with. Po also ironically took a page out of Tai lung's book and used the environment against him, along with shifu's teachings, And finally Tai lung's own arrogance and lust for power that wasn't his caused him to underestimate po, which caused him to get unintentionally beat up by Po in the first part of their fight. That one kick and pressure point combo didn't keep Po down at all, And By the time Tai lung took the fight seriously, It was too little too late, Po defeated and basically killed him.

They were also both trained by Shifu so that makes sense

But I swear it seems like people hate Po for giving Tai lung his Second L(Oogway gave him his first L), When Brodie was the one who underestimated Po, Literally got bodied during the first part of their fight, That down kick and pressure point combo only inconvenienced Po, Then Po stomped out tai lung and killed him.

And don't forget Tai Lung escaped the prison after being held like that (or at least I assume he's been kept like that all the time) for how long, 20 years? At least, I think it was 20 years, I may easily be wrong

Here's my evidence for why Po beating Tai lung was NOT plot armor: Tai Lung's style relies on speed, counterattacks (it has no blocks, as it prefers striking for defense), debilitating blows and outsmarting the opponent. And, as it happens, Po is the worst possible opponent for Tai Lung: Speed and Counter-attacks: Po is able to redirect most if not all of Tai Lung's attacks by recoiling- which means Tai Lung's speed and strength just ends up being used against him. The recoiling counterattack is also something that should be dodged or deviated, but since Tai Lung's style lacks blocks or dodges, he cannot do so. Debilitating strikes: Tai Lung has these- his nerve strikes- but Po is extremely hard to take down with a debilitating strike due to being bulky (as best shown when Tai Lung used his nerve strike and Po was just tickled), and that's made worse by Po knowing how to use that bulk in defense. Outsmarting the opponent: As a nearly obsessive kung fu fan, Po already knows where Tai Lung's strengths lie, while Tai Lung has no idea of what Po can do, so outsmarting Po is difficult at best. Furthermore, if you observe Tai Lung in his fights, he is able to analyze his surroundings and come up with ways to use his enemies' tools against them: in his prison breakout, he used his enemies' feather, spears and dynamite against them, he used the bridge against the Furious Five, and he threw the Masters' weapons at Shifu in their temple fight. He gets outmatched by Po because Po is the one who uses the terrain against him; Tai Lung is too focused on the Dragon Scroll to pay serious regard to anything else. For proof, Just watch the movie and pay close attention to the fights honesty and Go to the Wikipedia page about leopard style Kung Fu.

I'm glad i'm not alone in noticing that. The best way to know how skilled a fighter is even in real life is how relaxed and confident they look in their stance. Like tigress was looking about as stiff as a log meanwhile tailung is nice and relaxed and just casually flexxing how good he is. When I fight someone on the ring the fucker I fear most is the guy who's relaxed af, but still somehow looks ready to kick my ass to kingdom come. Like look at boxers like muhammad ali, floyd mayweather, or tyson fury. They lookin hella chill and relaxed in the ring while still knocking people out like it's nothing.

Also leopards weigh less that tigers so he was chillin😂😂

Surely if she wanted to maintain balance she could've acted as relaxed as well. She was trying to give the impression that she didn't come to play. Honestly it’s the fact that Tai Lung was in prison for 20 years just stuck there. Not practicing or improving his Kung Fu. The furious five meanwhile was practicing every day and already had a name for themselves as great kung fu fighters. They lost to a man who was fresh out of jail and “rusty”.

I think it was less being able to one shot them at any time and more, being on the bridge hurt tai lung's footing and martial art's ability, which put him closer to the 5's level of power who for the most part excluding tigress, aren't affected by hard terrain like he or tiggress would be. I imagine for some of his most deadly martial arts, he needs to have solid footing so he can move in the right way. but needing to balance on shaky ground made moving in such a way way more difficult if not impossible for him to do.

And the thing there is, Shifu could have taught them how that Electro Punch thing works (and how to defend against it). But Shifu was probably still feeling guilty for how Tai turned into a menace and didn’t want to revisit that by teaching the Five about it. And it wouldn’t have mattered if Tai had stayed locked up…but…

In the bridge lasted a bit more lool on land he wasted them

Sure tai lung kicked po to the ground, But to say he dominated the first half of the fight is not true. Tai lung was focused on a scroll that wasn't his and didn't take po seriously at in the first half of their fight. Rewatch the movie.

Po uses the Jade temple's stairs against Tai lung (My guess is that he learned a way to fall at an angle that wouldn't hurt him since he fell down those stairs like a hundred times) He also strikes him with a tree to the face and a freaking cart full of fireworks just sends Tai lung flying. It's pretty fair to say that these attacks did serious damage to Tai lung. (Despite him not showing it)
