The increased taxes on corporations will likely be passed on to the people, by increasing prices or reducing wages. They're not gonna just sit there and be like, "yeah, I guess we'll be making less money now."
It’s all completely legal & that’s the way big business works. If you are willing to change & improve a billion lives.. you will be incentivized. If you wanna work for someone else & relax & chill.. higher tax is the price you pay for less responsibility & for someone else creating a job for you. Not everyone is willing to get their hands dirty. & that’s ok. Nothing wrong either way. Alux, I love your videos! Keep em coming 💕
THIS is The Way. feel free to accept All the 'benefits' and 'privileges'. they come with Duties AND Obligations. the 'bill' WILL Come due. like you said, its NOT 'wrong'. it just IS.
DID Amazon create jobs? I'm not so sure. How many people LOST their jobs when the local store they worked at got shut down? I see Amazon as a middleman and it creates nothing.
@@blakealanm Which is what 99.9% end up being for the rest of their lives. Billionaires crossed the bridge and blew it up behind them, but keep chasing the bag I guess....🤷🏻♂️
@@amhedcabreja9480 they burned their own individual bridges, I have yet to cross and burn mine. Everybody has the opportunity to do so, just that most people don't know it or, worse yet, know it but don't do anything about it.
When someone is straight forward and good at what he she does, people will always speak for them. For me I would say give Mrs Michelle of financial education a try and you be happy you did
Small businesses and individual people end up footing the bill because they're not educated on the tax code. Which is literally a book that shows you how to not pay taxes. This isn't the tech companies fault. All of the money that's pushed into the economy from bigger companies help stimulate it. Think about the cost of all the equipment, buildings, vehicles, and, the cost to create and maintain them. Who profits from these purchases? Other companies who then go and employ more employees. Then if any of these companies fail there's little to no safety net other than the one's they create themselves. All of these companies wouldn't be so big and make so much money if they didn't provide a product or service that was valuable to the market place. Besides the point that they're the ones taking all the risk to develop products and services that benefit people all over the world. They should have a say so in where that money is spent. Not the government. Who's spending due to poor management and corruption has always outpaced the money it receives in taxes. Everyone needs to educate themselves on what the tax code is and what it was created for including the people we vote into office. All of this robin hood economics is a poor scarcity mindset. If this is a channel for future millionaires and billionaires...content like this ain't it chief.
What's the point of taxes? To insure 1 person doesn't have too much money? Because if you worked for what you earned I dont understand how someone else feels entitled to it
It's all about educating yourself. Everything is negotiable and knowledge acquisition is imperative. If you do your research, you don't have to be Facebook or Google to capitalize on these legal strategies. That's one reason why Alux is showing us this video! Give a man a fish and he eats for the day, teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime! I utilize some of these same strategies and I'm not close to the revenue stream these large companies are generating. Is it fair? Absolutely! The government has set it up for those who want it, to research and educate yourself on how to capitalize on all the loopholes. If you don't think it's fair, then you probably haven't done enough digging! You don't have to reinvent the wheel, just copy the damn thing! The 1% have done this for centuries!
I’m not watching this to make myself upset. I’m watching this to take notes and learn how to do the same. This video should’ve been structured in a better manner. You guys should really redo this video or have a different employee make a new version.
As much as I despise the conduct of "big tech" I'm not opposed to minimising tax paid as much as possible. Government only wastes it anyway, and the bigger the government the greater the waste.
@ Adrian Fisher: I can only think that you mean, "The bigger the BAD government the greater the waste." Taxes pay for police and fire departments as well as roads, clean water, etc... Minimizing taxes on companies that make hundreds of Billions in profit makes no sense and raises taxes on the common citizen. Someone has to pay for clean water and I don't think it should be you or me while giant corporations are paying their CEOs millions per year.
@@rmknicks I was referring to bureaucracy really, just like any other large organisation. An example from here in the UK is the governments insistence on going through with an infrastructure project called HS2 that they claim would reduce the travel time by train between Birmingham in the Midlands and London by about 30 minutes. Its failed to meet all financial criteria and project justifications but they're doing it anyway. A similar, previous project called HS1 was an absolute failure and cost the taxpayer billions with little to nothing to show for it. Many of the roads here are awful and get no maintenance at all, and those that do are not always properly done. There are a number of core things the government should do but many things those on office (elected and civil service) want to do but can't. The usual answer is to just throw more money at it rather than deal with the real problems. Things like border and national defense are very important, but neglected by most. Things like vanity projects are not important but favoured.
I agree that taxes shouldn't be hidden among other countries, but otherwise, the rest is available for small businesses alike and there should be advantages to providing jobs. The ones in those jobs didn't put in the risk so they don't reap the rewards. If they choose to start their own business then they have the same tax advantages.
I thought all businesses hiring 5000 people or more will ensure almost zero taxes? The rationale behind it is that they are giving jobs to a lot of people so the government don’t have to take care of these people and their family. Also corporations are allowed to deduct all expenses including researches, repair and maintenance of facilities from the gross income before tax. This is suppose to encourage more people create a business which will create jobs. Also the reason why flailing businesses gets write offs or are bailed out so they can continue doing business and prevent loss of jobs . I am not saying it is right or wrong I am just explaining why the government are doing it.
Even if Universal taxation comes into existence, the corporate are smart enough to find the loopholes even in those and reduce their taxes☹️ We being the employees should bear their taxes. Hard truth✌️
Fixing big tech companies taxation is like trying to get out of a straight jacket-the increased taxes will just get transfered to the consumer (in the form of increased prices) and make it worse for 'average' people.
It may seem unfair as some sidestep their obligations. Yet, close examination reveals that big tech companies do help out and contribute to the growth of the country’s economy tremendously, and everyone benefits. While every law-abiding citizen must comply and pay their fair share, the recent Biden administration must be cautious with the significant-tech tax proposals, and the reason is that we’ve seen this movie before. These companies have long mastered this game and will always be ahead, and if push comes to shove, they may end up outsourcing jobs overseas. Thank you, ALUX!
Hello alux! amazing video just like always! thanks for all your amazing contents! I'm following you about 2 years, keep the gigantic perfect content up!btw,i have a question too and I'd love if i receive reply for this comment,i have a mega idea, but as ideas aren't worth anything unless they're brought into reality (you said yourself), i need a sponsor for my idea and I'm afraid if it gets stolen,i wonder how do I find a fine supporting investor/sponsor that my idea remains safe?i know you made a video partially with this content, but i have no idea where to even look,so please reply this comment With tons of love 💕
When judging, do not forget that those big companies have milions of employees! if you force them to pay more taxes, you also get them firing many people. Yes, small businesses have not the same conditions but it is not unfair at all. The bigs were small once...
If only all millennials watched this, so instead of complaining and making excuses for themselves and blaming “the rich” they could learn a thing or two.
Are they evading tax (tax evasion)? Make sure to use the correct wording. These mega corporations partake in "tax avoidance," which is lawful and entails lowering their tax burden through the use of credits, rebates, and other strategies.
How do they pay zero taxes…? It’s simple. They hired thousands and thousands of people. They are able to help thousands and thousands of people put food on their tables and make money. Let’s be honest that is so much better than taxing them more and causing them to not be able to hire as many people.
Given the risks involved in running businesses, anything done to protect businesses is worth it. It is the right to do if government concentrates on making companies bigger in terms of number of employees, after all the larger the workforce, the larger the income tax from the companies. Where companies have automated operations and workforce is low, then a ratio of revenue versus workforce can be worked out and used as a basis of taxing the companies
This video is really ignorant, and just serves to complain / play victim. Business taxes simply get passed on to consumers. The profits ultimately ARE taxed, at the individual level. Don't worry about "muh roads", they're fine. Plus, taxation itself isn't "right", so I don't fault anyone for trying to lower their bill. Taking someone's money so they can give some of it back in the form of sub-par services is not something to be proud of.
Sorry ALUX but you're missed the mark on this one...the amount of tax they generate from all of these jobs they provide is astounding. Why would you tax the hand that feeds you 🤔
No USA would not have a deficit but a surplus if big corporations paid there. Fair share of taxes. The back bone of America small business pay for all government waist full spending
This is not the kind of video I would expect from Alux I was hoping to learn how WE can get some of those tax breaks for ourselves. Even though I have an accounting firm do my personal and business taxes, I always feel I can learn a new trick. Remember, it's not what you make but rather what you keep. ....and while those companies may not pay taxes, those employed by these big companies sure do.
LOL, how do so many people not get the fundamental fact that all the people these companies employ pay taxes on the companies behalf? Who otherwise would be unemployed and bringing 0 tax money.
Interested to see what your source for the $159 million dollar rebate is? In 2018 Amazon had on their balance sheet a 159 million dollar deferred tax liability. This is not a tax rebate. Their current tax provision for US federal taxes were -129 million, however the taxes they paid (net of refunds) was 1.2 billion. Nice lying/stupidity. Learn to read financial statements, or maybe get a real degree and not journalism/comparative literature. But given that you were able to correctly identify that they earned around 10 billion dollars tells me that you aren't stupid, just dishonest.
Um... is this not a channel on wealth creation and the narrator opens in the intro with " so how do these mother hustlers manage to dodge the tax man while you and I barely bring home the bacon after paying our share." I'm getting advice on finances from this woman and she can "barely" pay the bills? Hmmmm...
Exactly and he returned his president salary to the treasury. I don't see biden doing that. I'd like to see bidens taxes from money he got from China or ukraine
The reason why tech companies exist is because they are able to keep the values they create. If they would have been robbet the same way as others, we would not be able to watch the video you have created or anything else than sleeping in a cave. If you want to keep your videoes relevant, please dont talk negative about people who dont let the government rob them and name it taxing.
First of all 129 Million in tax refunds sounds tasty 😋!!! I’m so very much money 💰 hungry that I may put me wanting to be A Good Christian by paying taxes ASIDE!!! I don’t want to be that big business that doesn’t pay taxes but I probably would be only as long as it is legal. I don’t think it fair for Big Money Businesses not to pay taxes but I don’t blame them for not paying ether because come now how would pass on 129 MILLION DOLLARS 💵 IN REFUNDS!!! I’m A good person but I’m not that good when it comes to making the decision to pay taxes or Play with 129 million dollars in refunds again only if it’s legal!!! I have always paid my taxes on time but now I’m so very much money hungry, TASTY!!!!!!!!$$$$$$$$
