How Tech survived according to my dream (storyboard)

Shortly after I watched the finale of season 2 of the bad batch when it was released in 2023 mars 29th, I had a dream which was about how Tech survived the fall!
I was very upset like many other bad batch fans about Tech´s fate, especially since he died shortly after his greatest character development which is awful.
Therefore I was overjoyed when I had a dream about how he survived!
This storyboard is like the title said, created according to my dream! ^^
Season 3 is not far away and I am excited to find out if my dream turns out to be correct about Tech being alive, in time we will all find out. ^^
I hope you like the storyboard that I created, it took me 9 days to make and I had fun creating it. The Bad Batch is my favorite series so far. ^^
Steve Ferrorgale is a name I made up and decided to use for this storyboard.
I have used copyright free music by Punch Deck.

Here's my theory: Tech survived the fall, in the same way he did here, but was still badly wounded. Hemlock finds him like this and takes his goggles to the Bad Batch, claiming Tech to be dead so that no one will come looking for him. In Episode seven of season 3, Crosshair talked about how Hemlock had brainwashed clones into being a squad of elite assassins. Hemlock had found Tech, barely alive, and used that time of vulnerability to brainwash him into the elite squad. HE was the assassin that nearly killed Crosshair in the most recent episode. He doesn't remember who he is, and the others don't know.

Personally, I wouldn't put it past him. Based on stories in general, the villain is usually not a reliable storyteller. But I see your point!@@moonquartzs

I have a feeling your right. My only thing is that the assassin was athletic/agile, and an amazing sniper. We never really saw those traits in Tech. Then again, Tech won a "pod race". The guy seems like he can do anything.

I’ve always felt like the covert operations aspect of this series has been lacking in favour of Rambo style action and Clone Wars subplots. But you’ve managed to create a believable and thrilling narrative showing exactly what a Republic Commando can do.

I love this! As someone who was devastated by Tech’s sacrifice, I’ve been holding on to the hope that he is still alive. Your storyboard has given me comfort. Let’s hope he really does return this season, because the show feels empty without him.

I can't believe some people actually believe that the clone assassin is tech. Tech would very well know how to get to Pabu and wouldn't need to torture sid to find out it's location.

That's exactly how I imagined it. As a plot writer, I can say that the storyboard and it's plot is perfect, so I consider Your work as canon. Even if Tech actually became that experimental assasin, I'd prefer Your version of his return, because we already saw a member of Bad Batch who served Empire (Crosshair)

Honestly, I still think tech alive simply because the strap to his goggles were still intact. Meaning that there’s a high likelihood that his helmet was also intact meaning Hemlock lied about only finding his goggles

Honestly, I don't want Tech to come back because I think it would spoil his sacrifice. Many times we had cases where someone supposedly disappeared but then came back. BUT WOW This animation is fantastic, you have a huge talent

Couldn't agree more my biggest gripes with the sequels was there were no stakes. They didn't allow star wars to grow up with us. Which is typical for Disney because they don't allow child actors to grow up either. Which isn't really fair if they wanted to ditch George lucas ideas and do something original they should have. They should have gone darker more mature to show appreciation to fans of both original and prequel trilogy. Like Disney should be doing with all their franchises.

Oh please. You hypocrites say that about some people and they came back even if for short time: Gandolf from the Lord of The Ring: Membership of the Ring fall with the Balrog and came back in the next sequel, Han Solo from his carbonated transfer, Finn from new Star Wars he sacrificed himself amd woke up in Rise of Skywalker, Ash in the first Pokemon Movie he died to stop both real and clone Pokemon from fighting, Radigus the Brown (The Hobbit) being a decoy to distract the Wargs

@@goliathgar4985your first three don't make sense. Gandalf came back because he had to, not because of fan service. Gandalf can't die, only his physical form can be destroyed. It was and then Eru Iluvatar, the GOD of all creation in Tolkien's Legendarium decided that Gandalf was still needed and sent him back as the White Wizard so the Free Peoples can fight on. Tolkien always planned this. His story has a lot of Biblical elements and Gandalf's return is definitely one of them.(also it's Fellowship of the Ring). And then Radagast being a distraction doesn't mean anything? He didn't die lmao. Didn't come back at all. He was just a distraction. Han Solo never died, he was basically just imprisoned. Finn never died, and never "returned back" in Rise of Skywalker. What happened was he was badly injured in The Force Awakens, then was medically attended to between TFA and TLJ. And in TLJ, he tried to sacrifice himself but was stopped.

I don't often remember my dreams and this dude makes an entire animation. Personally, as tragic as Tech's sacrifice was, it would further make death irrelevant in Star Wars, like how getting stabbed with lightsabers is ineffective, unless you're Qui Gon Jinn. Since we're talking about fan theories, or similar enough, I had one where I imagined the remaining Bad Batch on a mission somewhere, and are accosted by Dark Troopers, the ones that are mostly human, and after lets say either damaging one enough to knock its helmet off, exposes Tech's lifeless face, now nothing more than a tool for the Empire. It would be a potent gut punch with the dark and gritty nature that Star Wars is sorely lacking

Death is irrelevant in Star Wars. David Finoli and J.J. Abrams have mastered the power to save the ones they loved from dying, as well as resurrecting whomever they wanted back from the dead, regardless of already established lore. “Always two there are, no more, no less. A master and an apprentice.”

I have returned here after the final season to conclude that this in fact did not happen. Although I very much wish it did. Really excellent storyboard. The composition is excellent and well timed the characters are really accurate. Really cool!

welp hes dead. Glad they finally could kill a character but ofc it had to be a clone. Also noticing a trend, if they fall backwards with their stomach up they're 100% dead, if they turn over they live. Obi-wan falling lives, tech dies, the doctor in the finale (not spoiling which dies facing up)

Now we have to wait fot 2 things... for this storyboard to get properly animated by talented fans and the rest of Season 3 of the Bad Batch! This "animatic" really deserves to be treated as Canon and be fully animated in Bad Batch style! Hopefully Disney and show creators leave Tech's fate as is, so it would be possible to Canonize this as part of Spin-off show, preferably Tales of the Clones(or Tales of the Clones&Droids), or as a short story-type of deal! given the bullshit odds sw characters regularly survive, I think this would have fit very well in the show. yeah he just managed to get INSIDE the railcar while in the air and then it had a surprisingly soft landing given the height of the fall. Don't worry about how that would work in real life. He's fine.

I am pretty sure things actually fall at the same speed even tho some things are heavier! I mean tech would fall faster due to being small-> getting less force pushin against him while the metal thikgy would be faster for being heavier but it would get more resistance on the way down which would make them fall around the same way

There's a theory that the clone assassin is actually tech when crosshair look at the temperature rangefinder you can see the temperature of the leg doesn't appear and the clone assassin is so bad following orders

This is very good animated and the story too. But it wouldn’t make sense that Tech would leave his glasses back because he would need them (I have watched Bad Batch and know that they found the glasses and Hunter has them now).

Here’s my theory Tech survived the fall, but hemlock did not get to him. Tech is crazy smart and wouldn’t allow Hemlock to even have the chance of acquiring him. Rex and his clones were trailing saw because they didn’t think the plan was going to work and saw the bad batch on the rail trains. They followed where the train fell, saved Tech, and left the goggles behind so Hemlock would believe everything of Tech is gone

Still don’t think he survived. I doubt he would’ve gotten away unscathed enough to even fight. Not to mention hemlock isn’t that dumb to not make sure there isn’t an imposter when the base was literally bombed by saw and his insurgents wearing TK armor. I feel like tech would’ve been found out eventually, especially when we deduced that clone codes don’t work.
