I've deleted all of my mods in Tekken 7 because apparently Bandai namco is after the modding community.. Seeing this attitude makes me really sad as this is the same community who helped Bandai Namco when Tekken franchise was considered over after the failure of Tag 2... Bamco's attacks on the modding community is like attacking the person who stood with you in your weakest times when everyone left.. And doing this they are just showing us that they now have achieved success and they don't need us any more.. It's heartbreaking cuz this is the same community who brought this much success to the franchise and modding the game makes it feel new and better.. And modding is the reason why we kept playing Tekken 7 until the very end because it made the game more fun and enjoyable...I hope bamco stops this attitude and gives us the respect we need.. Also I want to thank each and everyone of you because of your love and support.. You guys were always there for me when no one was.. You guys don't know how much seeing a single appreciating comment means to me.. I'll continue hard working to create more entertaining content for you people☺ And lastly I wanna say Eid Mubarak to you all❤ May God Bless everyone of you and fulfill your every wish and make life easier for you 😊
@@Ryan-vc9ifFF+2 changes nothing regarding this crazy amount of nerfs he took, no he's not better with this nerfs and he wont be better, every higher level player will tell you that kazuya sucks, he has no "crazy" damage as reward, PEWGF does 100DMG with heat in this game, dragunov does it without heat. think twice

That's really sad for me ngl, i really interest to play Tekken 8 one day and training with Kazuya and other ones, having my chance and some fun fighting with others.
i mean at least hes a really fun character to play but i would really like a buff to him like i want uf 2 2 again i and also hellsweep 4 4 but the low one also heavens gate then 4 i want that also back wich wasnt that good but i still want it back edit: this might be crazy but what if they brought the thing with uf4 but when someone blocks it he has to keep blocking till it stops just like kings d 3+4 kazuya deserves it OR the double hellsweep you have to block both of them to not get it so its a 50/50 >:) this will make kazyua top tir
@@ommohammad5507 You mean the longer hellsweep he has in T7 story mode battle? I would be all for this to be his heat extension instead of the shitty heaven's gate which is one-dimensional and takes wayyyy too much meter for what it gives, especially after the 1 damage nerf.
Its weird how many classic tools they removed from kaz, king and eddy, but one of my least favorite things is that CD3 does 30 dmg now instead of 40 in TK7, so much less satisfying now

tekken 7 kazuya hits like an actual fucking truck if u have the execution.. landing the regular helllsweep into heavens gate without the delay still felt like an accomplishment on p1
All the characters scream much more in Tekken 8 ,both when they take damage and when doing combos to show more vigor(don't do my boi Jin like that c'mon now 😂)

You’d think they’d make Kazuya above mid-tier in this game after making him the main villain of the game and being the Tekken rep for Smash who’s top tier in that game
True the only one og that stay with the same strategies etc. But they change him alot, i mean like even jin and other characther have different strategy to play but kazuya still the same and they did him dirty
Convinced? Lmao, it’s an objective and observable fact especially when you look at the improvements given to his rival Jin in this game. Kazuya doesn’t get any of Heihachi’s Mishima Styled attacks (multi-hellsweep for ex. which Kaz used in the final battle of T7 story mode) BUT Jin gets some of Jun’s Kazama styled aerial attacks and Lars’ styled low ankle swiping attacks. They’ve rarely respected Kazuya, that’s why I give big props to Smash and SFxT for doing him Justice with regard to tier and story.
@@JayTekken1 Small addition: Kaz also used the hellsweep extensions in the Akuma rooftop fight in story mode. But yes, this should have been his actual heat mode hellsweep, not one-dimensional heaven's gate extension. So many characters get 4D mixups with heat, but Kaz can't have that ofc.
Also, in his devil form, for some reason, you can't cancel his cd3 or ff2 lasers, which is kinda confusing considering cd1 have that option. It literally weakens your wall carry, wall breaks and consumes your heat that you desperately need for wall oki. If I'm in the Reina's stage and broke the wall in heat I have to enter combo artist mode with 1,2,4,3 into dash df1,4 or something like 3,1, cd cancel, df3(wall splat) f3 and other unusual stuff. Why he even loses something in the first place? DJ, Jin, Drag and others have remote bomb button which you can't avoid in the neutral and has to play casino if blocked.
Yeah he doesn’t feel the same at all. Even though the basic mixups are the same, the combos are wayyy too different. I pretty much dropped him entirely
Also his fastest mids both have huge downsides. His db1, 2 is a whopping -19 on block. You may be able to get away with it midscreen because of the push back, but there is absolutely none at the wall leaving you totally helpless. Some characters like Jun and Jin can punish midscreen ( f2 with Jun and Jin ff2). It’s only safe in heat because you have the option to heat dash. Also, why is the db1 -10 on block? It’s not hit confirmable either. Baffling. His next fastest is df4. Very similar to ws4 but worse in every way. It is hit confirmable, but doing df 4, 4 leaves you at -4 like ws 4,4. If you just do df 4, you’re only +2 on hit but -9 on block. +2 gets you just a jab maybe not much you can do. Either take the small frame advantage or just lose your turn. All his other mids are way too slow.
dang ive been always wondering why arent people doing df1,f2 i didnt know its not in tk8 i have an idea what if they added the cd+4,1 cd+1 but that is a blue spark that will deal like 5 more dmg than cd+4,1,1 but like if this is broken, make it only accessible on heat something like that?
idk how new Kazuya players get above 70% win rate. I stopped playing him after hitting 50% with 200 games played. He has some very strong tools to win matches for sure especially against scrubs but still doesn't make up for how inconsistent and limited he is compared to most of the roster. Playing defense and counter attack sucks in a game that massively rewards an offensive playstyle over anything else. Truly a 50/50 character.

0:33 Being a modder, I have actually checked this out for myself. The hitbox isn't changed at all between Tekken 7 and Tekken 8. Exact same animation, exact same hitbox. There is a difference in combo travel in Tekken 8 however, which is probably why weird things like this happens
T7 Devil Kazuya would destroy T8 Kazuya with his MID ELECTRIC -6 on block, 50 damage hell sweep, df1 2 easy mode 15 frame launcher f4 stun on crouch opponent for guaranteed 15f mid moves.
GREAT summary. The df1 hitbox nerf and the heat burst range nerf really limits his combo options, and the damage reward that comes with insane execution. If people with execution want to go for that triple or quad electric combo, the game should be promoting that since Kazuya is all about execution. Actually the damage isn't even that much higher even with quad electric (low 80s) given how difficult that is, but at least making the combo more reliable would be rewarding for those who can pull off quad electric.
T6 Vanilla and T8 CNT Kazuya: 😈 T6 BR/Launch and T8 CBT/Launch Kazuya: 🤡 Kazuya seems to be a good character in non-existent and early versions of Tekken before launch.

df1,df2 is inconsistent. What i've found that made the combo more consistent is doing a micro dash after 2 electrics. Like this: Electric; Electric; micro dash; b2,2; df1,df2; 3,1 cd3 (or df1,4 for a better and proper wall carry, then df3+4,1,2 as wall ender). Also try to spam and buffer b2,2 and df1,df2 as fast as you can, even the slightest delay will make you drop the combo.

Standard route is opener into filler into 31 cancel (2 if you're good and perfectly on axis) into df 12 into masku tech (approach after tornado and f4 into ff4 and if they can defend it use hellsweep)
Recently went back and tried Kaz in 7 (I'm a Devil Jin main) and goddamn he's so clean. Being centred on electrics just feels good. Doesn't help that electrics got a soft nerf with 8's lack of neutral.
They basically made all the harder characters 10x harder to use and weaker lol while brain dead characters like Feng, Dravonuv, Xiaoyu and king get cheap and easier mechanics
@@drabnail777 You can passively sidewalk that move unless he is in heat. If you feel that threatened by linear mid gapclosers, you need to hit the lab dude.
He wasn't reallly that good in T7 either, he had other weaknesses. There have only been very few times where he was good and that is because of his players. They are considerably superior to ppl playing other characters, just better players overall. Which makes the character look much better than he really is.
More character comparison videos please and also I'd say currently Tekken 8 Kazuya feels like season 1 Kazuya before the buffs to his damage, frames and new moves. In fact CNT Kazuya was much more interesting to watch apart from the broken and long combos.
B2,Df2 should be a move for combos. Literally just take the animation for b2 then the animation for the second hit of df1,df2 and you have given us b2,1 back. No clue why these changes were made lol
I see alot of people getting natural hit moves into guaranteed heat engager or follow up move. They could give kazuya f4 that hit stun if they crouch. Give a df1,2
What happened guys? He was broken in the CBT. Did that one little string really make him THAT broken? Compared to what we have seen now with Azu, Drag, Feng, Xiaoyu, etc. Kazuya's "broken" string doesn't seem all that bad now, does it? Let this be a lesson.. Keep your mouths shut next time when Kazuya seems "broken" before release. They saw everyone wine about a little bitty string that just beat out scrubs, nerfed it, and will more than likely never give Kazuya anything good for the rest of game's lifespan.
A lot of changes about Kazuya in T8 piss me the hell off man, the DF1 being the biggest offender I like 3,1 cancels but removing the triple electric staple combo unless you're slightly off axis hurts my soul

Bad take. Hes not comparing 1 to 1, he even adds the context of the games like how ws 4 of jin and devil jin is buffed. While kaz gets -4. Tekken has always been a legacy game. This kaz feels wrong tbh. They already nerfed his gameplan as blocking=death on tekken 8. Why did they nerf his tools as well? Its a new game that has more emphasis on offense, kaz has strong 50/50 but he doesnt even have a good 13 frame mid. No 15 frame ws launcher. No easy mode 15 frame punish, they took that away from df1 as well. Why? Ragearts only being -15 is an indirect nerf to him imo.
8s Hitbox in general is baffling to me. Certain moves on animation that should hit wiff, other moves that wiff by a mile in animation confirmed hit. Moves that track the hitbox but don't in animation. Its so weird
After ff3 combo starter i use ws1+2 but you need to wait until oponent hit the ground to conect. Its weird but its work. Its better then ss3 because u have alot of time.
i'm happy as long as they buff the hit box on heat smash and df1,2 or give back b2,1. i do not think 3,1 loops are very fun to do.... This would open for so many fun combo routes, which i kinda miss. Keyword for me is FUN. Don't care how strong kazuya is, he's just my favorite character and i'll play him anyways.
They need to make it possible to cancel the B2,2 into a crouch dash, just like 3,1, so with this change DF1 won't whiff during combos all the time and it would bring back his old 3-4x EWGF combo routes that everyone loved in T7, tbh it would buff his neutral game too a tiny bit, bc his pokes s***s(I think). But obviously Kazuya can't have such things.
Yeah they should make 31 CD cancel an actual thing and not something half-assed. Turn it into an actual thing for Kaz to transition into seamless wavedash from moves and center him around this to make him more fluid in combat. This could balance his other nerfs quite well.
I used to main both Kazuya and Steve.. I think Kazuya's combo is way harder in T8, while still being playable with super high damage. Steve otoh is super nerfed easily from top 5 in T7 to bottom 5 in T8

With all the people that play like they're on drugs, u can't play smart anymore. U just know they're gonna keep mashing and now u have to rely on either master punishes or pushing ur own bs
Also the old bound / tail spin system felt so much more natural as attacks happen mostly from a side. Now we have a shitty squirly backflip as combo extender that looks so unnatural and goofy
They streamlined so many movesets of og characters. Just horrible even steve is not a counterhit character no more, at least give him a shitty shiro combo ffs
A prime example is when you block Nina's F1+2 from tip range and try punishing with 112. They lied in a patch saying they fixed it but they didn't. They added more costumes for 8 year olds to buy instead.
Another thing worth mentioning imo is tag 2 b41 just being gone from the game. I don't see why the current b4 couldnt just be standing 4 and b41 return
I don't see the point of that particular move in this game when he has so many mid wall splatting options. Current B+4 has huge range and is a very liable punisher against moves with massive pushback like Deathfist. It definitely has its use.
@@leukashot123 What do you mean super good for wall combos? Df+3+4,1,2 is better as a wall ender and db+1,2 is a better move for both midscreen punishment and wall splatting. Even in TTT2 you rarely ever wanted to end your combos with Kaz at the wall. You actually switch him out with EWGF~tag, bound with the other character, fill the gap with the b+3,1 string and have your other character end the combo for maximum dmg.
