Drones can't you put a predetermined destination and then press Y and then return to a drop spot to retrieve without using a remote? I sent the BOLO below out to all my family and friend's (and several online groups) early afternoon today to raise their awareness and preparation. The Secretary of Defense, the Director of Homeland security, the NSA director, the FBI director and a couple of other cabinet members are scheduled to meet with the President tomorrow to discuss credible threats against the country. Couple this with information that a few Sheriff’s throughout the country have released in the past 48 hours, and it should give us some concern to review potential threats…. Their speaking of threats without disclosing information likely means only one of three potential things.... (The government reacts and responds to dozens of threats every year, and none of them make the news. For them to admit to the allegations means something is driving this) For them to be discussing that there is a threat could mean: 1) They are employing scare tactics to get a big increase in the security budget. (this tactic always works and may be all there is to this) 2) It is a CYA move - They have an increase in credible threats, but either cannot do anything about them, or they choose to let the scenario play out. (Order out of chaos) 3) There are too many variables at play for them to intercept the threat(s), but they want to leak the threat potential so they do not look quite as stupid as they would if it happened with them not acknowledging the potential threats in advance. Short of a national state action against us, (an outright open attack by a foreign government) which has only a limited probability due to the potential response the US would take, I would suspect only a couple of situations....(it needs to be a threat from something that will not be tied to a specific nation. Perhaps a cyber attack, a cell network attack or other directed attack) The most likely scenario however, is that there has been a lot of strike teams admitted into the US via wide-open borders. Guns are easily accessed in our country, and these strike teams are likely well-armed and equipped by now. They are likely isolated to small groups of a dozen or less per team. Each team is probably not aware of the other, to limit exposure to the entire group, which would explain the government not being able to neutralize all the threats and leaking the danger to increase awareness. If the above is actually correct, the terrorists are probably planning a coordinated attack in multiple cities and targets at once. The government knows there are too many players in action for them to intercept them all (likely due to not knowing all of the identities of the terrorists or all of the targets), so they are in the panic mode now...By leaking the news of the threat, they can proclaim that they knew something was going to happen, but just could not coral and contain the situation. The end game is to increase awareness throughout all agencies and law enforcement divisions, so they are more prepared to act. Potential Targets? Water plants (either chemical introduction or pumping station attacks) Electric grids (goal of shutting down 2 or more of the 10 grids) Schools (complete panic and terror would ensue with multiple coordinated attacks/hostage scenarios) All Public Gathering places (Churches, malls, sporting venues, etc..) Potential chemical attacks could be employed at large venues. (delivered by explosions or aerosolized and released by cheap drones) Potential Timeline of attacks? Probably some significant date (perhaps religious dates) ....Potential guesses: (All have a significance - they are dates to increase your awareness. - Be ready to act and not react) Feb 26-29 Mar 11 Mar 24 Mar 29 Mar 31 It could be anytime and any date of course (or hopefully not at all), but public attacks would likely be in daylight hours and individual attacks would likely by very early mornings when people are asleep. (Attacks of homes and neighborhoods similar to the attacks in Israel earlier this year.) The dates are just guesses. The scenario is just a guess, based on information that is available publicly. Everyone should have a 90 day supply of food. Everyone should have a 30-45 day supply of water. Everyone should have at least two ways to purify their water. Everyone should have a source to cook and have heat without utilities. Everyone should have a few hundred dollars in small bills and perhaps some silver for bartering if needed. (and of course, be armed ALWAYS if you are able to handle a gun safely) I normally discourage debt (it is a cancer to our country), but if you do not have these things already, borrow or use your credit card to get them if needed. Have a pre-plan with your family and friends. (Where to meet, when to meet, what triggers do you need before you act, how do you get home with no car (2-3 preplanned routes that are shared), how you plan to defend your home, how do you plan to help defend your neighborhood, etc....Have a small kit to get you through 48 hours with only what you have in the kit. (Keep it with you anytime you leave your home. This can be fitted into a fanny-pack size.) I know all of this sounds like a science fiction movie, but folks, the ride is fixing to get bumpy. We owe it to our loved ones to have this conversation and encourage others to share the message of vigilance. Sometime between now and the next 11 months, the lives of many will be impacted and potentially changed forever. Be strong and maintain your faith. Do not be a willing victim due to failing to prepare and not paying attention to the things going on around you.

I must admit that armed drones on outdoor venues and terror cells overwhelming cities LE have kept me edgy for over a decade now. I wrote papers on these kind of scenarios in college (Homeland Security concentration). Technology has evolved so much. Terror drones were just not a thing when I was in the Navy in the early 2000s.

In general, rpg warheads have a crush fuse in the nose cone, when added to a drone, I think you would have to bypass the crush fuse to guarantee detonation on impact.

If you’re a serious sUAS pilot, you’re using a dedicated controller not associated with a phone or even tablet. Manufactures like InstantEYE or Skydio also have encrypted connections to the drone, are water resistant and have telephoto lenses so good that they can be a half a klick out and still gather what they need for ISR. Autel, DJI, and Parrot all have thermal optic models. The game has changed and we need to catch up. Every homestead/tribe/MAG should have their own small sUAS fleet with at least one dedicated PIC.

I like the conflicted question. I'm posting while listening but have not heard their answers yet: with an earthquake that big help isn't coming in a week, and the pastor thinking that help will come that fast tells me he has no idea just how his world just changed and I would not be willing to follow him in terms of survival because of this. I would have to try to determine if bugging out with what we can carry is even possible and consider if my bug-out location would have also been destroyed. I don't have a bug-out location that could survive such a massive earthquake so I'd have to stay and I believe that being part of a community would be a good idea in such a case. I wouldn't give away too much, just enough to not raise eyebrows and would likely seek to be part of the leadership in establishing security, medical, shelter, sanitation, food and water assistance and make sure that my family benefits from my hard work, experience and knowledge. Let the pastor do grief counseling, while I get everyone organized and run rescue operations.

Has this Church or Pastor been involved in preparing prior to this event? Likely not because Pastors put too much faith in God saving them. Lock your doors, arm those who are capable, and no one leaves the house except to check status of neighborhood/community. On Conflicted Question: The key point that I didn't hear mentioned in the answers given was the neighbors HAD prepared but lost theirs in the disaster. Big difference, IMO, between those who actively prepared and those who just expect a free hand out and never took personal responsibility. We can all prepare but maybe a house fire takes our stocks or we must actually "bug out" over a fast moving wildfire that we couldn't grab all our supplies and will require some assistance, not through lack of responsibility or preparedness, just the Black Swan came calling.

with dji drones the control signal is coming from the dji controller transmitting directly to the drone. Its not a cellular signal. , the phone is just being used for UI on the cheaper drones and it is communicating with the controller with its wifi. If you are using the premium dji controller, then you dont even need a phone. Once you're "ready to fly" you don't need to connect to anything cellular or wifi. to disrupt the drone you have to now the frequency that the DJI controller is transmitting

There was a guy who experimented with a rocket motor that he spun up with an electric coil to incredible rpms that fried computer chips out to 100 yards and detonated blasting caps too. It was the ultra high sound frequency that did the damage. Someone with the knowledge could make an effective anti drone device if it could be developed.

If you’re using a gas generator as your main power source you’re doing it wrong. Your gas generator sole purpose is to charge your solar batteries if there’s no sunlight. That keeps gas and oil usage to bare bones minimum and saves wear and tear on your generator.
