God has indeed bless Nagas with very fertile land.I have tasted Thanamir Apples which is very tasty and the best quality apple I have ever tasted so far.
If thats so boy you really haven't tasted Apple from Kargil. It's out of this world it'll blow your taste buds. And the apple has a really pleasant natural scent to it
Don't lie, the quality is inferior to other imported apples. Even if the apples are in season, many others imported apples being sold in plenty in Nagaland. That explain that people prefer the imported one
I used to live in kashmir and I know that kashmir produce the best quality of apple in India. But also people who would tasted Thanmirs apple will not finish it without a word of praise, that I can gurantee. Its Purely organic and has a superior quality. Coincidenally, both Kashmir and Thanmir ends its name with 'MIR' and has the best quality of apple in India. Its a blessing from God.

Thanamir the foothill village beneath Mount Saramati ! I reached the village with my newborn Son in the winter of 1989 .Longingly gazed above at the mighty Saramati and below at Mimi village with its bat caves.Always hoping I would get another chance to walk and smell the wild woods again .But it's only sweet memories now ! I wish other Naga Officials also experience the raw beauty of our distant villages someday .

What a blessing! The Government of Nagaland should certainly invest more in Thanamir village, not just for apple cultivation but also for developing value-added products like wine and juice. This approach would maximize the economic potential of the region by creating diverse income streams for local farmers and entrepreneurs. By collaborating with other states and international partners experienced in horticulture and agro-processing, Nagaland could introduce advanced farming techniques and best practices, ensuring higher yields and better-quality products. Such partnerships would also open up new markets and bring in innovations that could position Thanamir as a key player in the global fruit and beverage industry..
All thanks to that Nepali uncle and suitable weather of Thanamir, i guess if it was planted in other district or places in Nagaland it would have not been so fruitful. May the people of Thanamir and the place itself flourish more and more in the future.
For pruning use Secateurs tools..for plants not to get infected... For sale and marketting the village council or the students union should either sell at kohima or dimapur or other districts...you sell per kilos at 30-40 rupees at Thanamir while the third party sell at 200-250 be wise..
