As spring turned to summer in 1994, no ball club was hotter than the Montreal Expos. However, a late-season work stoppage kiboshed the 1994 campaign, leading to the cancellation of the World Series for the first time in nearly a century and derailing the Expos’ best chance at a title - a devastating development that ultimately marked the beginning of the end of Major League Baseball in Montreal.
