This is exactly the video I've been looking for. 1) I have tinnitus 2) I use Android and 3) I've had real trouble with that plugged up feeling you mentioned whenever I've tried earbuds with silicone tips in the past. Also, the part about cutlery noise - I can completely relate. I'm going to buy some now using your affiliate link (UK) 🙏🏻
Glad to hear the impact! Very generous comment, thanks! . Just note that the plugged up feeling will never fully go away, but this implementation is quite comfortable. If you enable transparency mode, it goes away if you plan on keeping the headphones in your ears for longer periods!
Not only did you convince me to switch to these (fellow Android user) but you also convinced me to get a hearing test. My symptoms are much milder, but you describing your symptoms sounded like what I experience. Thank you for the video.
@@JSyntaxthey think I could have the beginning of tenitus but that it's nothing to worry about until the ringing becomes more frequent. As for the buds, they're great
I'm in the same boat :(... Messed up my ears with a new home theater system in an untreated room. In just a few months I started to get symptoms of tinnitus. I got a hearing test and it was "normal" but I'll be seeing an ENT in a few months for confirmation
You just answered all my questions as a Windows & Android user, even up to the fake multipoint connection. I've also difficulties with my ears so I'm hoping these buds will have less pressure and more comfort. Exceptional review video, thanks.
THANK YOU for being another person who uses the earbuds to help combat Tinnitus. I myself suffer from severe tinnitus being a nearly 40 year old fully disabled (in terms of my VA rating) combat veteran. I worked for 7 years directly next to running jets as a refueler during my Air Force days and next to helicopters and firearms in my time in the Army. After my medical discharge I went to school and became an automotive technician for General Motors and worked at 2 local stealerships as a technician. Needless to say my hearing suffered for it and I suffer with tinnitus so I wear my AirPod Pro 2’s ALL DAY LONG. In fact THE ONLY time I’m not wearing them is in the shower or when they’re charging, otherwise they’re in my ears ALL DAY!! In fact I am considering getting a second pair so I can have a pair in while the others are charging because it’s made that much of a difference in my life!! Great review sir!!
As a fellow Tinnitus sufferer I love love love my airpods pro 2 and airpods pro max. They have really changed things for me. Sometimes I wear them in transparence mode without any audio actually playing quite often ... and it still really does help, especially for the long term fatigue end of things because I think it's a much more controlled sound level even in transparence mode, definitely less sharp peaks and super quiet quiets. Also with the new H2 chip the loud sound pull downs on the airpods pro 2 even in transparence mode seems like another full layer of protection for those of us with sensitive ears. If you haven't tried them and you're between med and large ... try something like L in the Comply foam tips. I have a really hard time with the apple ends but those foam ones are magical for me at least.
Just got it as a gift. I'm thankful cuz I know how much it costs. As an Android user these are the pros and cons to it. Pros: - NAC is pretty good and volume can be very high -Phone calls are very high quality - Very light on your ears with a good sound quality - Good transparancy when you can listen to music and have conversation with people/listen to the environment. Cons: - the case charging only has C-Type to apple charger (No USB) - No customizable audio with a android software (Very big minus from me) - - just to connect to my last statement, I want "adjustable transparancy mode"( I want listen to my music, but when someone speaks to me I want the music to go down and have a conversation in between) - if my transperancy is on and music volume is high, I can't hear my surrounding.
These fit so perfect for me just like the Airpods Pro first gen did, the noise cancellation is even better on these, the sound quality has a bit more bass now and the vocals are still clear, most earbuds I tried have too much bass it makes the vocals drowned out, I just end up getting a headache, so far no headache with the Airpods Pro 2 (usb c version)😍
Very interesting that as an Android user you like the AirPods Pro so much. I tried them but very oddly couldn’t get the volume swipes to work. I’ve chosen to go with the Sony wf-1000xmrs - EQ and LDAC playback. I think the ANC and Ambient Sound are very similar on both; same for sound quality. Comfort-wise, the AirPods certainly win out. Equal access to the earbud features on both iOS and Android with the Sonys is another attraction plus the Sony’s Speak to Chat feature and memorising were you go with your earbuds and whether you need ANC or Ambient Sound, etc.
Thank you so much! Undoubtedly the best review. Been looking for an review of airpods for Android. You helped me so much. I literally write comments once a year but today is the day
Have been using the Gen 1 Pro for a year and a half and this week bought the Gen 2 Pros for $199 USD and the ANC is a big improvement which was the reason I bought the Gen 1 so am pleased.
These AirPods provided me with a great night's sleep. I use them specifically for their noise-cancellation feature, which blocks out the sound of the air conditioning unit and my wife's snoring, allowing me to rest well. In fact, I couldn't sleep without them. I only wish that the battery life were longer.
@@JSyntax I typically sleep on my back, and wearing AirPods while sleeping on either my left or right side does not bother me. Plus, the discomfort is tolerable
If you use all apple devices you don’t even need to hit the BT button. Just open the device you want and they will connect. Example on the phone then if I lock the phone and just open my laptop or ipad it will automatically switch to whatever device is playing audio at that time. Pretty cool stuff.
Very good job on your video ! Just bought AirPods Pro Second generation and I am very happy with it. ESR has an amazing case and protect your AirPods very well 🤙🏻
Excellent video review. Apple is taking pre-orders for the USB-C version of these. Great to know they work well with Android. However, I do disagree with you on the Bose QC45's. Don't know how/why they would bruise your ears. I've never had that happen nor do they amplify high pitch sounds. You have far more sensitive ears/hearing than the average person. I really like them. The sound (after adjusting the EQ) is excellent and the NC is superb. Like you said they can get warm though and I do find myself adjusting them because of that but all over ear headphones have that issue. The fact that the new AirPod Pro 2 use USB-C is huge for us Android users.
I had an iphone and i got blown away by the s23 ultra's camera so i got that phone and i never used all the extra settings while using them on the iphone so theyre perfect rn while listening to this video on my s23 ultra with my airbuds 2 pro, i also got them registered with my find to my iphone in case they get lost, i can use the volume up and down gestures, next, stop, with music and long press to activate and deactivate active noise cancelation.
Just finished watching your entire video as I wait for my AirPods to arrive, will pick them up with a friend at the airport this Saturday (I had to import them from the U.S, because they’re too expensive here in Brazil, almost 500$usd, yup, taxes & fees go crazy down here) Anyways, my point is, I literally watched tons and tons of video reviews but yours were hands-down the most complete one. The end of the video it just felt like you were talking directly to me, I recently subscribed to Audible, and I listen to my audiobooks everyday on my way to/from the gym, and during my work out Although I use some cheap 15$usd fake Chinese fake AirPods, sound is awful, it cuts out from time to time, lots of interference etc And I have to keep going back the audio book dozens of times, it got to a point where it took me one hour-ish to finish a single audiobook chapter, because literally any kind of noise loud or not, would stop me from understanding what was being said. I am just so glad I made this purchase and I can’t wait to put my hands on my air pods, I’m sure I will make the best out of them. Can’t imagine how pleasant it will be to actually listen to my audiobooks clearly with no traffic, fans and weight noises forcing me to rewind dozens of times. Thank you so much for the effort you’ve put on this video, I know how much it takes, editing, scripting, and I really appreciate it dude, just subscribed and liked the video, stay safe dude.
You should try the Samsung Buds 2 Pro. They are outstanding. I'm an Android user who has the Airpods Pro 2gen and the Buds 2 Pro, the Buds 2 Pro is just perfect. Only downside is the battery, which is better in the Airpods and the rubberized coating that will eventually degrade and you will have to rub it off.
See, I am currently using the most sport earbuds with my friend in Texas, works with installing home audio and he recommended that the Bluetooth wireless earbuds available all fall short of amazing standard of the Apple AirPods! I have not purchased the AirPods yet, but That is the next musical related purchases I will make. Thank you so much for your good solid video!
Absolutely honest review, it really feels it is your good experience, yet not biased or being a fanboy. And let's not forget this is with an Android users view. I hear a lot of good things about the Airpods Pro 2 buds. Apart from not being an Apple user, I would probably not get it because of its "douchy", so typical look and the lack of real multi point connectivity and a few other things, like the dumb lightning cable. Multipoint is I guess WAY underrated. When I use my buds on my laptop, then I close it and go over to my phone, sometimes it is not enough clicking the buds so that it comes over to the next device but occasionally you need to disconnect from the other devices. It is kinda weird and very annoying. I have a pair of Huawei Freedbuds Pro 2 and that is my daily driver and absolute favourite after trying literally about a dozen TWS buds. (I know you probably cannot get Huawei in Canada due the US sanctions on them) These have all the gestures, I actually like that a sound tells me which listening mode I am in, I can even turn off ANC OFF and only toggle between ANC ON and transparency and again, multipoint is just a life-saver convenience. There is nothing worse when you open your laptop bud the earbuds are still connected to your phone which is laying on the desk somewhere else in the room. I know this might sound like 1st world problems but this should be an obvious feature with consumer goods like these. I'll probably get the Airpods Pro 2 one day, I am just simply curious and I really would like to see stuff like spatial audio on Apple devices. I have to admit the Airpods Pro 2 are really thought out. (not sure what took them ages to add features like volume controls, lol) Instant follow, dude! Thx and good luck. Apologies for the lengthy comment!
I highly recommend the Bose QC II earbuds, I know you gave a quick caveat to them being better at ANC, but not just that, they are extremely comfortable and don't give the same plugged up feeling other earbuds do. Cause it's not going inside your ear canal rather just sealing it if that makes sense? I just got mine 2 days ago, I literally forget they are in my ears sometimes. And transparency mode does a good job of reducing any sudden high pitch noises, and obviously the ANC is good haha. Anywho, great video brother! Edit: oh they are 50 dollars off at best buy, idk if there is one near you or if you can buy from them.
Thankfully, Apple now sells the Airpods Pro 2 that charge with USB-C! Also thank you so much for the video, yours really made me consider getting these (or at least trying them out)
I have an s22 ultra and when i try to turn on transparency mode, Bixby opens on the phone. Is there any way to turn bixby off or get transparency mode to work?
Maybe the Airpods are heating up when you charge them because they are not seated directly over the charging coils (like the stand charger you put them on in the video.) Having Magsafe means they are always in the correct position, and not inefficiently generating unnecessary heat, like yours seem to be.
I'm a professional Android developer myself and initially considered getting the pixel buds pro, given I've pixel device. But after watching your review, I'm genuinely considering getting the airpods pro 2. Will it be worth it still now?
I recently purchased the Apple AirPods Pro 2, and I'm considering switching to the OnePlus Buds Pro 2. Since I'm using a OnePlus phone, I'm curious if the OnePlus earbuds would be a better fit. I know they have active noise cancellation (ANC) and other features similar to the AirPods Pro 2. My main concern is comfort. I often find that many earbuds start hurting my ears after a while, but the AirPods Pro 2 have been very comfortable for me. Given that in Finland, it's not possible to return earbuds due to hygiene reasons, I'm seeking advice on whether the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 would be a good choice, especially in terms of comfort and features.
Ok I get it now, I tried so many earbuds and always despised AirPods and how they look, tried the Galaxy buds, galaxy buds pro 2, Elite 85t, Evolve2 Buds and Elite 10. My recent purchase was the Jabra elite 10 and it’s really a good overall buds I would say the best compared the ones I’ve previously owned. From the sound quality, multipoint connection, MS teams integration, its like the buds that is made to be good for work and personal however while it is comfortable there are times when its really not comfortable this is hard to explain but it might be due to the material used. I watched your RU-vid video few months ago but I resisted cause I like convenience multipoint connection …etc. But after the latest Jabra announcement of shutting down the Elite lineup I returned the Elite 10 although I liked them I didnt like their transparency and something about the comfort was not ok. I came back to watch this video again and I pulled the trigger and I got the AirPods Pro 2 gen USB-C and now I get it. Although it does not support the multipoint but wow. Everything about them screams quality they are so comfortable and produce amazing sound. This just my first day of use but I’ve never expected them to be that good. I will miss the convenience of the Jabra and the integration with MS teams but the AirPods Pro 2 just brings more quality and that makes them worth it. I will continue trying them in different situations but overall my first impression I get it now of how much you like them.
@JSyntax yes can't go back now, the quality is to hard to pass. ANC, Transparency, sound quantity, fit and comfort...etc. exactly what you said. I just wish it supported proper Multipoint but I guess this is how Apple drags you to their ecosystem:) I just didn't expect that they are so much better then competition. I didn't try Bose, Sony ...but they are far better than Samsung and Jabra.
the part about the headphones is total cap though. the sony xm4s have way better noise cancelling than the airpods pro 2. i own sennheiser momentum 4s xm4s and airpod pros2 and the airpods are nice but not as good as both headsets when it comes to noise cancelling.
Thanks for the review! The best I watched so far. I´m thinking about buying those airpods pro, but i wanted to ask you, if you know some app, where you can turn off and turn on the ANC a transparacy mode? I know that it can be done on the airpods by thouching them, but I was just wondering if you don´t know some. Hope you get famous, you deserve it.
Thank you! Question, do you use the adaptive transparency to volume down the surroundings but still hear everything without disturbing you? Does it work for you or not enough attenuation? You can use wavelet or other eq apps to eq the sound of any buds or anything coming out from your phone and some Samsung phones even have built in EQ as well. May I ask why you don't use iPhone? ( I am an android user as well just interested) BTW when you compared the call quality between the pods and the phones mic I wish you put the phone approximately to the ears where the airpods mics were to even the game.
I have the Bose the Bose literally was the worst since it kept disconnecting and never able to connect on my android. The AirPod pro works like a charm.
The ANC works way better on windows, probably need a hackintosh slayer to update them, my AC unit never turns off even if I pull the circuit breakers, its using that NVidia mental, I know it.
mate, you need to reconsider the whole cutlery drawer idea. Just hang each fork, spoon and knife individually on the wall using rubber-coated magnets. Either that or learn to use chopsticks for everything.
i've had this heat issue with all wireless charging buds across every brand and phone. i tried wirelessly charging samsung buds on a samsung, on a charging pad and airpods on a samsung and a charging pad. always the same issue. i think it is a downside of wirelessly charging any kind of these buds. also, you can just use a usb-to-lightning adapter so you only need to carry one charger!
Do you need an extra app to configure the airpods pro 2 on android? Or it does work just well? I would like to configure Ear detection so when i remove an earbud from my ear it stops the music.
hi, just wanted to know if the single mode is okay because you can't switch to the intermediate mode so does it feel strange when you use just one of the airpods when it is on the Anc mode or the tranparency one
I am using mine with my OnePlus device. Here to share you a horrible incident: So after i purchased mine, things were good until the update. After the update, the airpods started to make cracking static noise after 4-5 mins of music listening and on calls through a macbook. So i went to the service centre they tested and said they're not able to find any issue, reason being they are not compatible with Android devices they said. Now i have two options 1. To buy an iPhone. 2. Sell them with the trade in. I am so crashed 💔
I gotta be doing something wrong, i just won the pro gen 2s and i feel the anc worse that qc25ii😅 and the passive canxeling is worse than som cheap buds for 60$
How did you get it to work with Zoom I guess you are using Mac not PC. On PC I am able to use it as audio device but not able to make it work MS teams.
I have Autism and i really really struggle with noise and loud sounds, but i have heard nothing but good reviews about these with ANC, i have overhead earphones and their okay for ANC, but they are too big and fall off at the gym ect. I wish these Airpods weren't so expensive 😭😭
Very informative, thanks! I switched to Apple music from Spotify on my LG v60 and apple music sounds so much better. For the one off features, I was going to use my ipad. I'm a long term android user but am planning to switch to an iPhone after getting fed up with my android phones running out of security and OS updates. Multi point isn't important for my use but its good to know that it's easy to charge. I prefer lightning cable to USB c as I've had a lot of issues with the 6 different types of USB c cable and not all manufacturers labelling their cable. Amd some android phones seem to have problems with with the phone charging with USB c, where it works if you insert one way up not not the other (I have that on my v60 and know someone with a Samsung s22 having the same issue). Would be interesting to see if the case gets warm with my wireless charger and also if I use an apple watch charger.
So you can adjust the airpods pro 2 volume from them? I saw reviews on RU-vid where they say when paired to an android phone you can only adjust volume from the phone? Asking as I would like to get the S23 ultra and use my airpods pro 2. Thanks!
Hey dude. Do you know if Android will now allow spacial audio with these? I've read no however every headset I've used on my Google pixel 8 pro has been able to use spacial audio.
How to turn on active noise cancellation on airpods pro on Android? When i long press on airpod then google assistant gets activated 😭. I have tried while its not connect but still it doesnt work
