The Baxters mean so much to me, I started reading them around 2011 when 14 starting with the Bailey Flanigan series I fell in love with this family you created. I ended up reading 15 books in two months. I can't wait to see them in the show. 🤍

I have lived in Burbank ca for thirty years and i used to watch dool and attend all their events. I am ao glad that God saves men and women in Hollywood who can be salt and light. Karen, How did you get the experience to write the Take Two series? These videos are inspirational. Thank you.

The first time I read your book I felt like God was writing through you. I felt like John Baxter was the dad I always wanted. My dad was abusive. I wanted my dad to love Christ and he didn’t. My dad passed away and before he passed away he made things right and I know he was saved. I have my stepdad who is good to me and loves me. He is like John Baxter.

Karen...loving this podcast...can you tell us why you changed London's sister from Maddie to Andi...cause you have Bailey's friend Andi so how does this work?

I have read from redemption to forever. Still working on getting the rest of them. I was listening to the audio books and was sad that fame through forever is abridged.... But luckily i have the e-books so been going through again. @karenkingsbury, is there an actual show and if so where would i find it? I am so in love with this family.

Did Scott and Missy have a role in the tv series? The Baxters?

I enjoyed the faith base premise of this series, HOWEVER, there are about 3 Baxter sisters that act like they are still in high school when it comes to the men in their lives! I'm sorry I had to put it out there, but many times the way they carried on reminded me of how I acted in high school! I don't know if it was for dramatic effects attempting to keep the subject matter within PG-13 range but as grown women I expected more maturity in their characters! There were also some plots that seemed unrealistic on many of the episodes, but again I think it's for dramatic effects to lead the audience into the next episode. Also, the men seemed to always be catering to the women's every need (except for the character Erin and her spouse) and yet not much reciprocating from the WOMEN to their men and that irked me to see these men's characters act so like Beta men! Nevertheless, I truly enjoyed Roma as the Matriarch of the family, and Tim as the Patriarch, the bible verses at the beginning of every episode were very inspiring as well as the bond between the sisters although they still behaved as though they were still in high school. So having said all that, my only con to the series is I wished that the characters of the WOMEN were more mature. LASTLY, at the beginning there were two African American leads in the series and although I was not surprised when they were KILLED off, I was and continue to be terribly, incredibly disappointed in this narrative of storylines in 2024! Then later they introduced an African American man who lived in a very large home however, his screen time was limited to one or two of the last episodes of the series. Again, it's so unfortunate that African Americans still are rarely given a seat at the table and instead are offered up on the table!!!
