How the British Army keeps an armoured column moving 

less strain on logistics and keeps more guns in the fight so for sure a force multiplier!

@@MrJimmyGiblets Dad went to York initially he was a fully qualified electrician at the age of 19 when he was called up.

@@wickwicker8575 Dad was 15 when he joined up, the year before I think. Originally he was assigned to RAOC, when when REME was formed they creamed off the top 10% of all corps to create the REME.

They've always been consummate professionals. The RAF were outnumbered by the German Luftwaffe by around four to one in The Battle of Britain, but thankfully the RAF prevailed.

The army is smaller than it used to be , but too catagarise it as small is not correct

The British army throughout the ages has been small in consideration, due mainly to a small population, and it has always been a generals prerogative to keep the soldiers safe in eganegement, due to manpower and trying giving. But now being part of NATO, the British army can specialise in what is does best, as can other countries in NATO

The entire British Army can deploy just two combat Divisions. Given how the Ukraine Russia war is stretching on, I'd wager that most countries that thought a small but technologically advanced army will serve them well would be rethinking their choices. And Ukraine Russia war has low troop concentrations. To put things into perspective, we've been deploying entire British Army's worth of troops (2 Divisions) in the Ladakh region against a similarly sized Chinese force since the stand off began in 2020. And that is just one area among four/five on the China front for us. Chinese deploy many more Group Armies to defend its coastline, where UK expects to fight the Chinese. And British Army's technological edge isn't so large as to justify such disparity in numbers.

There's a Queens and King's Roayl Hassars. Two seprate regiments who name is irrelevant to the monarch.
