Let me get this right. They study 12 hours a day every single day, to get a good job, where they'll work 12 hours a day 6 days a week... Why? It's an exercise in futility, there's no point, what are you getting paid for? To eat, sleep and get back to work? That's literally just slavery, I'd rather fail the exam and leave the country if i was them.
@Tachicoma2010
@Tachicoma2010 Месяц назад
The older generation, with cheap loans and uncontrolled growth of debt, provided themselves with a good life in the second half of the 20th century at the expense of those who will have to pay it all back in the first half of the 21st century. So that they could, at one time, buy their own home in 2-3 years without straining themselves by working 8 hours a day at a factory, we will now have to work ourselves to death on 12-hour shifts paying off their debts. Technically, instead of an inheritance, we received debt obligations. So this is not so much slavery as a debt hole of parents that we are forced to cover by giving up a normal life.

my 2 cents, As long as people will have to work 8-10 hours to survive and barely making a living unless you are a doctor or an engineer you likely can't even afford children, and if you are an engineer or doctor you simply don't have time to raise a children. Reduce cost of living and make 6 hour shifts, thats probably the "utopian" idea.

The problem is multi faceted. There is no one key solution. 1. Having children is very expensive 2. Women want to work, and often are forced to work due to rising cost of living 3. Men and women are being taught to hate one another in countless media articles 4. Men are going their own way, while women are being told they need no man 5. People want to travel and have careers. Loads of hobbies and sports. Masses of entertainment. Children sap resources to do these. 6. Easy access to spicy videos and other content for men means they're slapping the sausage instead of finding a woman 7. Women have been told for decades to demand a top man. Top earning, top height, top looks. 8. For South Korea, China and Japan, long work hours means parents have no energy or time for children 9. And many more reasons.

@harrisonmccartney4878
@harrisonmccartney4878 3 месяца назад
Point 7 is super important, because there's been too many cases of men thinking they're in happy, loving, stable relationships, when in fact their spouse or partner is always looking to "upgrade". It's made the decision to have children an absolute nightmare for many young men who would like to be fathers, who would potentially be good fathers, and yet the idea that they can commit to their parenting role while their SO can't because they're always looking for something "better" is putting many of them completely off the idea. Add to that court systems which unfairly grant custody a good 90% of the time to the mom, and men are essentially reduced to the role of piggy-bank for women who can not only bag another man who is doing well financially, but she can bankroll part of her own lifestyle and the rearing of children off of child support. It's a complete narcissistic distortion that has ruined entire families for generations at this point, and while some may argue that the man/father might not have been living up to their end of the bargain, it's happened to enough good men who still do their best to be a positive influence on their young children's lives that there is no point to it anymore. You're essentially signing up for a one-night stand that turns into an 18 year commitment to pay half your wages to a woman who stabs you in the back and probably tries to turn your own kids against you.
@OrlanduHolySwordsman
@OrlanduHolySwordsman 3 месяца назад
Babies are only expensive if you're selfish as shit. Once you have a child, it is no longer about you. And someone having a child should be proud of such an honor to bring forth the new generation properly. In this age of self aggrandizement, I can see why having a baby wouldn't be an honor for most.
@SchwererGustavThe800mm

The primary reason why people aren't having kids in industrialized nations is because most people are aware that their kids will have a lower standard of living than they did. Real wages have barely moved since the 80's, while cost of living is up several fold. And the trend is only getting worse. Looking to immigration for a solution is like treating a symptom without addressing its cause.

At the 12th minute the narrator says that, “it’s now being predicted that the populations of 20 developed nations will halve by 2100.” Well that certainly won’t be the case for Britain/Ireland, the US, Canada and Australia and NZ. And this is indisputably proven by virtue of mass-immigration intakes into all oof them over the past decade and, moreover, with all of this quintet intending to continue with these schedules. The incredibly grave conundrum with this is, because almost all of these immigrants are the sourced from countries that have no inherent cultural, and WORST OF ALL, religious connections to the host societies. And whilst the economic rationalists - WEF, George Soros, major banks and, indeed, the extremely treacherous and traitorous politicians - construe it’s fantastic and, have multiple climaxes over the increasing revenues and taxes from increased consumption of goods and services the danger is that these immigrants will soon become the collective majorities. And when that transpires, the religious zealots within these groups will force the indigenous peoples to submit to their religion or terminate them.

At the Sydney OIympics in 2000, non-AEs were about 15+% of Sydney's population. Official data says that about 1 million people have left Sydney since 2000, to other places and regions in Australia. Here in Sydney, and also in Melbourne in the space of 40 years, peoples of Anglo/Celtic/European heritages have plummetted from being 90%, to where ACEs are now the colllective minorities. I'd estimate that AECs are now NO MORE than 45% of either cities populations. In 2005, there were only 200,000 people in the country with an Indian heritage, now it is 1.45 million: about 300,000 are temp-migrants, overwhelmingly being international students. Of course, Canada has been swamped with Indian immigrants and loads of international students, too. But, the only good (sic) thing to say about Oz, if it can be deemed good, is that we get a tiny number of people from the Third World. Good that you introduced the long forgotten rat studies. What you omitted though was that the reason these abundantly resourced rat societies fell apart was hypothesised to be that for both physiological and psycholigical reasons rats ( and by extension humans) can only tolerate a certain number and level of interactions over a given time period. Mega cities as they are currently constructed create such an overload, which results in a number of defined responses One of these is the creaion of tribalised districts, the other is total withdrawal from society and not going out, violence and rage - blind lashing out and pathological behavior is another, such as killing offspring. Another response is what is known as "bystander apathy", another well researched aberration of human behaviour typically found in large densely populated cities.

The problem is usually what we tell them what their job is. Currently the market indicates that there are heavy needs for metal, for houses, for electric cars. Lots of materials is needed to transition for fossil fuels, to build things for all the population, etc. It's all related to a population problem. Cut it in half, and you have half of a problem. So in the west it was exactly that the baby boomers were the first generation where child death was really dammed, while the parents of that generation were still were behaving as if it hadn't. The "golden rule", as you call it, of population distribution is only applicable if a huge amount of children die before reaching the age of 6. In our society supported by modern medicine you want a very even distribution across the age brackets until the age where modern medicine can't keep a person alive anymore. At the time of the worries of the population explosion child death had very much not been under control across large swathes of the world, and it didn't look like the LEDCs would get to the point where child death would be stemmed before the population explosion would become a huge problem. That has somewhat changed. The babyboomer population taking up such a large part of the demographic is also what made the problem in the west far worse. The generations coming afterward did not have enough economic stability to feel comfortable enough to procreate, and that's still the case.

@campioneri

The issue with the robots and AI solution is that all those robots and AI are owned by the 0.1%. And neither robots, AI, or their owners pay taxes or contribute much of value to society. The core of the issue is that society depends on families, families are getting rarer and rarer, so society is decaying and AI's not going to stop that. Only way to truly fix society is for culture, governments, corporations, and billionaires to place families first, but I don't see that happening any time soon.

@@whitneyanders5945 A single person is not a family. They're just taking up space waiting to die (for Australia, that's 26%). So, no, not everyone of us is part of a family. And yes, you can argue that if their parents aren't dead they're part of a family - a failed family. If there is at least one child in the extended family, you might call that a family. But, it's also a family that can't support itself - if that one descendant were required to care for multiple elderly, it would collapse - and that one younger person wouldn't have time to date, marry, and raise a child - so that family, too - isn't going to be a successful family.

TY for covering this! There are five interesting phenomena across the entire world happening at the same time: 1) Fertility crisis 2) Male loneliness epidemic 3) Single childfree women recorded as the happiest demographic globally 4) Capitalism is failing 5) Patriarchy is failing (patriarchy is one of the four legs of the stool of the world's disastrous dominant economic system: capitalism; white supremacy; colonialism; patriarchy) So as these systems simultaneously fail it is unsurprising that the result is a massive drop in fertility regardless of various government efforts to force women to exist solely as incubators for producing the progeny of and serving men. If you want to know why abortion and other reproductive rights are under attack, this is why. If you want to know why there is a rise in misogyny across males of all political groups (including leftish males) along with an increasing popularity of misogynist content via podcasts and other mediums, this is why. If you want to know why governments are cracking down on dissent so they can continue impoverishing people while crippling their ability to revolt, this is why. The upside of all of this is that the old systems are all falling apart. The downside is that as they fall apart, the evils of patriarchy; capitalism; white supremacy; and colonialism are manifesting themselves in the human population in increasingly unhinged and dangerous ways. Stay safe out there, women! Just a general reminder to everyone: the population crisis is not women's problem. No man is owed a legacy or children. Men are not entitled to women or to progeny. And women have no social obligation whatsoever to continue the species. If men want women to partner with them and have their children, men need to evolve into better and more deserving humans. Period.

@igors1234
@igors1234 3 месяца назад
And it is the opposite. If you take an average child free person and reduce his income, he will not start wanting kids. On the other hand, if you increase income of someone with 1 kid, they will likely make 2, 3 and more. Attitude towards making kids is completely in the moral field, and the wealthier the person, the more kids he will afford to have. The only way how wealth can indirectly create less children is hedonism. Poor people simply cannot enjoy materialistic values, because they can't afford any luxuries. But it doesn't mean that scarcity encourages making children, poor people just are less likely to be spoiled with materialistic values. Also, there are many wealthy people who have more kids than average. Elon Musk, for example, has 7 kids. And some poor drug addicts have 0.

@igors1234
@igors1234 3 месяца назад
@@bLaffix Even on a global scale there's no correlation with wealth. Israel has 3 children per woman, France has 1,8 children per woman, South Korea has 0,8 children per woman, which is the lowest fertility rate in the world. Is South Korea 2 times wealthier than France and 4 times wealthier than Israel? I don't think so. Algeria has 2,9 children per woman on average, but it doesn't mean that it's more prosperous than Israel. And all developed European countries had around 3 children per woman just 50 years ago. Also, USA had on average 6,3 children per woman in 1835. The same fertility rate is now in Somalia, but there's no doubt USA was way more prosperous in that year than Somalia is now. Like I said, it's the moral values that determine whether a couple will want to reproduce or not. And wealth will positively influence whether couple will be able to sustain children or not. A wealthy country can sustain good fertility rates, and it's a historical fact. And, like I said, wealth can possibly cause selfish moral values, which end up in being child free. But there's no direct link, and wealthy person can as well want kids, and have all the possibilities to do that.
