Hawks really were the far better side on the day. First to the ball, harder around the contest and cleaner with their ball movement. Smashed them in clearances! Yes they are a couple of years off, but you can clearly see they have the foundations of a good side. Lewis up forward, the young mids (Day and Newcombe) and Sicily playing the general down back. Complacency has crept in to the Pies performances, a string of wins can do that. Oddly enough injuries may prove to be a catalyst to bring in players such as Macrae and Bianco who are hungry and in good touch - and that could well rejuvenate the group. Wouldn't be the first time that has happened, and it can bring about less predictability in their game style.

The lower sides always perform well towards the end of the season. I don't understand why you 'experts' don't understand the 'giant killer' phenomenon of Ozzie rules. Also, last week's Blues' win over the Pies, was another Historical idiosyncrasy of the historical rivalry between the Blues and the Pies. Usually, whoever is lower on the ladder, wins. In both cases, the players somehow dig deep to play above themselves, for the team and for personal pride. Ain't that what makes footy great?

The front on challenge which was designed to hurt Daicos has in fact done that to the tune of 6 weeks. Not comfortable with that tactic as it is straight out of the Sam Mitchell manual that hurt Nathan Fyfe affecting his career from that moment on.

We've been seeing it with Port Adelaide these past few weeks, and now it's happening with Collingwood as well. Both of these teams have gotten too comfortable with their positions on the ladder, complacency has set in, and as a result of it they are just a fraction off their game. It only takes for you to be a fraction off your game in an elite sporting competition like the AFL for a much lesser fancied opposition to beat you. Port Adelaide held a position in the top 2 for most of the season on false bravado. Six of the 13 wins in a row that they had were by 10 points or less, 4 of them were by under a goal, 2 of these being with kicks after the siren that went their way. We are now seeing the real Port Adelaide as everyone had tipped them to be prior to the start of the season. As for Collingwood, they have been covering up their weaknesses for the past 12-18 months because they have been good enough to win many matches that they had no right to be winning. Eventually this catches up with you, and we are seeing it now. Opposition teams are figuring them out. And September is just around the corner with the dreaded Colliwobbles now echoing louder and louder.

I'll give credit to Lloyd & Cornes for at least giving some praise to Mitchell & the hawks after the flack they gave them at the start of the year. Caro too put her hand up on Classified & admitted she was wrong about the hawks. Yet still nothing from Barrett. His only 2 comments were about the pies. He has shown his true colours as a vindictive shallow man who stubbornly refuses to admit he's wrong.

i don't care what the other farking teams are doing i just wanna see my beloved collingwood recapture their connection to each other & get back to their best. i want to see them go out on friday night & knock off the cats & effectively knock geelong out of the finals race & show no mercy & i wanna see collingwood go all the way so we can stick it right up everyone who loves to write us off. you don't understand what the players of my team is capable of. i think you really underestimate what they can do. they should get that connection back & when the pies have that connection with each other as we have seen prior to the last few weeks then no side gets close to beating collingwood & i wanna see my team bury sides more & not give the opposition anymore chances just they need to close them out once they get more than four or five goals up. yes show no mercy is a good saying that is what we need to do & the past few weeks if we have been the hunted we need to get back on the hunt & be the hunters again & really close out the home & away season really well as we near to the finals. go the pies !

collingwood are just way overhyped, umpires gave them 2 games against the crows when the crows were a lot better, they lost to carlton, they definatly aren't in another class they just got kissed on the d*** by the umpires.
