I remember back in the day when people could have civil conversations and even compromise. There is no compromising… we are all hyper polarized which shut down the Avenue to communicate civilly. I also remember when people didn’t really flaunt their politics. There weren’t signs in the lawn and flags on trucks and all that… You could know somebody for many years without knowing what their political affiliation was. I liked it then because we weren’t identifying ourselves by our politics. Politicians, don’t care about you. Left or right. The lobbyists, big corporations and the rich control everything. The working man is just a cog in a wheel to make the rich richer.
And we once again just need people to accept that all politicians lie, cheat, and steal. it's not that easy I know, my family is literally fractured into pieces. I see yard signs and such, the only one I like (besides mine) is the QR code for the Brooklyn Library Unbanned Books section. a teacher had it in her class, only said that it was available, gave no political stance, and left it up to the kids and their parents. . . they suspended her for "pushing her agenda" she pretty much said if by agenda you mean getting more kids reading then yeah!!! my yard sign is for *my Daddy's MC: Downed Bikers Assoc.* I miss the civility, Emilie-one, the only time I get that is when I talk to my very opposite of me in almost every way husband. 25 years ago, we agreed to disagree while still talking about things with respect. 2020 was the first time he had ever voted (he wasn't allowed to register when he turned 18 due to religion).
50% of USA's wealth is owned by 1% of the population. 70% of USA's wealth is owned by 10% of the population. Those levels of inequality, within the world's richest country, are unfair & unsustainable (IMO). USA ranks 106th out of 177 countries for Income Equality - not a statistic to be proud of (again IMO)

My anti-government anthem! I love this song! You're so right about what happens when you get locked up. I can fully relate to what you said about being treated like animals. It was a very long time ago, for me. About 25 years ago now. It's a very bizarre experience the first time. They don't treat "first time offenders" any differently than "career criminals" in prison. They don't explain how things work. Nobody tells you the rules. You just have to figure it out and survive. I was only in prison for 2 months. After I had been out for awhile and the people around me became more comfortable with talking about it, I learned that they had all come to agree that I was "meaner" and had "a shorter fuse" when I came home. There's no way to explain it to someone who hasn't experienced it. You hit the nail on the head. I was treated like an animal and I became more feral. I don't know if I ever really turned my "fight or flight" response off after the incarceration. It's a really bad system for attempting to correct bad behavior. Unnecessarily cruel.

As pertinent now as is was when he wrote it. More, even. The maternity 💀 rates in America are some of the worst in the Western world. And that could be about to get a whole lot worse. America has some wonderful aspects and more potential than almost anywhere, but the divide is so extreme now that it's pretty scary from the outside at the moment. I really hope there's a peaceful, sensible way forward to build on all the awesome things you guys have to offer the world. ❤
I liked the Thomas the tank engine reference (fat controller) because I found the morals underlying the stories so creepy when my sons watched it for a while. Later I learned the stories were written by a misanthropic repressed minister or something, and it made more sense. It’s bloody hard to find stories for children whose morals you’d actually like to convey to them and that they would like to hear too, for as far as you still have some influence over what they consume as they get older…
There are a lot of songs down the rabbit hole and all are worth checking out. Even if he releases them as “demos” and makes me question what the word means cause I thought it was sort of equivalent to rough sketches and that is not what he is giving us 😅

I don't think people are disappearing or dying because of discovering something better that the combustion engine, maybe their patents are being bought out by the govt, and shady stuff like that, and I know they're not being killed for medical breakthroughs. The line about Tesla and the argument for AC or DC was because Tesla discovered DC electricity while working for Edison, who discovered AC electricity. They had a falling out, Tesla started peddling his DC version of electricity to some big companies, and Edison didn't care for that. Edison was also well known, respected and wealthy at the time, so he started a smear campaign against Tesla, we're talking major mud slinging, he actually electrocuted a live cow with so much DC current that it exploded, and then told people that only happens with DC current electricity. That is why nationwide AC current is what's on all the poles that come into our house, and there are electric companies named "Edison", and why Tesla died destitute and penniless. Oh, and they found a cure for cancer, it's suppose to be ready for human trials by 2030. Speaking of lists, in 2023, the U.S. dropped to 33rd out of 192 countries on the Human Freedom Index Scale. Also in 2022 and 2023 more U.S. citizens officially emigrated to Mexico, than Mexican citizens immigrated to the U.S., most of the recent arrivals at our Southern border are from south of Mexico in Central and South America, also from countries that the U.S. totally ruined their economy and/or govt. in the past. Mexico city is booming with high paying jobs in the Tech space too, and Mexico City is in Central Mexico, everything south of them is pretty safe, North of Mexico City there's very few roads or public transportation, it's all dotted with small towns, and that is cartel country, no bueno! ✌💚
