Earth 838 seemed like a more peaceful and eco-friendly environment. Maybe they only faced Thanos as their big threat. Ultron sentinels worked out right in that universe, which means Sokovia is likely to be just fine, which also means Wanda and Pietro lived on peacefully like normal citizens. Maybe that's why Wanda of that universe didn't have the trauma like her counterpart of Earth 616.

Everyone keeps saying Monica Rambeau was "easily killed by a statue" but everyone keeps ignoring that was AFTER Scarlet Witch drained her powers away. Making her a normal human, if even for a brief moment.

Why do I feel like it was only strange that fought thanos with his new corruption state. Everybody else looks fresh no damage at all. Strange just went ahead to finish the job at the cost of his life. In all honesty this version of the Illuminati looks like they can’t even do any damage to thanos and I think strange knew that and went ahead without them

the reason why vision isn’t in the illuminati’s universe is cause they succeeded in making ultron, there’s a minor line when wanda’s is mowing through the bots where they call themselves ultron, vision only came to be because ultron failed.

I would love to see the battle they had with Thanos before this happened. They could have shown more how they killed him for at least 10 minutes then snap back to their memories

I believe that after witnessing how pretentious and cocky the Illuminati of that Earth was, Doctor Strange will form an Illuminati team much more akin to the one we know from the comics.

Seems like the Illuminati dealt with the Thanos situation off world on Titan probably without their respective teams knowledge. Their job being to stave off problems before they get out of hand. And they seemed a bit cocky anyway so after destroying the Mad Titan they figured wrongly that Wanda would be no trouble. Boy were they wrong ... tell em' Black Bolt ... oh ... wait ... sorry.

I feel that her death by statue was possible due to Wanda using her Chaos Magic to drain Captain Marvel’s power/abilities. Agatha did the same to Wanda, and Wanda now possesses said powers.

It's actually pretty easy to make some assumptions. Universe 838 has Prof X to mind control, confuse and delay Thanos. Both Black Bolt and Captain Marvel combined might have overpowered Thanos physically. Dr. Strange was the sorcerer supreme and that amps him 4x his power. Give him the book of Vishanti or the Darkhold and he's one OP sorcerer. We already know he had used the darkhold so that's his ace up his sleeve.

Wanda siphoned Captain Marvel’s energy like she did Agatha in WandaVision… that’s why she was able to be killed so easily by the fallen statue.

I think Wanda drained Rambeau CM of her powers, and then dumped the statue on her. This is a testament to how powerful Wanda is. CM in both universes are relatively equal in power

I would think Black Bolt probably had the best chance of breaking Thanos' sword. The sound vibrations would have a different affect on it as opposed to Vibranium or Adamantium. It just seemed to me that the heroes of 838 were weaker thank 616 so maybe their Thanos was as well.

I don't think Captain Marvel from illuminati was necessarily weaker. The reason the statue could kill her was because Wanda was stripping her power during the fight. She drained her power, causing her armor to come off. She was left powerless when statue crushed her.

5:35 to be fair, scarlet witch is a way more dangerous threat that all carol's enemies together, i think that carol would give scarlet witch better fight than maria did ofc but scarlet witch would still end carol without any issue

A couple of points here. Wanda was in Endgame and could have easily beaten Thanos. THE SCARLET WITCH was in Doctor Strange 2. She was way more powerful and psychotic

I think Black Bolt didnt wanna use his voice bc of the power of the stones since the stones couldve absorbed, block, copy, or even more to the voice if he did use it, Thanos was just strong enough since in the comics Thanos has survived the yell of Black Bolt before. Side Note: The reality stone couldve made some major problems for Black Bolt Made him dream, made it look like he killed everyone on accident(again), or even worse made it look like his mouth disappeared and thats way it looked like titan wasnt that’s destroyed(it already was tho)

I think they dropped some of the details about the illuminatis lives on purpose. I really think we are going to see something of these characters again. Franklin Richards may want revenge? Doubt that last part but it’s a cool thought. Maybe he’ll be a different version of the maker or something

Crazumiest idea: Make a movie called Infinity 838. We see the movie specifically from the 838 universe's events. All Fantastic 4, mutants, inhumans, and Rambeaux Captain Marvel.

I feel like the video understated 838's Captain Marvel. She didn't die to a falling statue straight up. Her powers were drained out of her while fighting Wanda. The moment the statue falls on her, she was already only at human-level or near that. If anything, that's a testament the The Scarlet Witch's power, not Captain Marvel's weakness.

Loki has actually taught us something about Infinity Stones and so has the comics. There are items, weapons, and so on down the line that are more powerful by designed and allowed by The One-Above-All. Don't forget that the TLT and TOAA allow what are called necessary evils to happen, much like the highest powers in most religions allow it. Loki found out that Infinity Stones do not work outside their universe, so if you take an Infinity Stone from Earth 838 and try to use it as a substitute for the same stone on Earth 616/19999 it won't work. Heck the TVA uses them as paper weights so that means the TVA sits right outside the multiverse like The Beyonder. Honestly, how the heroes of Earth 838 defeated Thanos was explained in Doctor Strange 2 and they felt that adding 10 minutes of an irrelevant battle did not need to happen. It was more important that they explain everything around Strange because it is his movie after all. Just like how Into The Spider-Verse, all the spider heroes from different Earths started phasing into nothingness while on Miles' Earth, they needed to keep that continuity going and they kind of did. I just didn't like how Wanda torn throw the Illuminati so quick while dream walking. I think they should have put a damper on it but then again Strange wouldn't have been able to do much dream walking at the end. In the grand scheme of things, Disney's Marvel didn't feel the events on Earth 838 were worth showing, the explanation they gave was good enough. 🤷

I thought the alt Dr. strange used the Darkhold to beat Thanos, not the Book of Vishanti. That’s why Black Bolt killed him after the battle. If Strange used the Book of Vishanti to beat Thanos, they wouldn’t have needed to kill Strange.

I like to imagine Black Bolt bit Thanos's sword and yelled to break it. But I also can't imagine a realistic scenario where that didn't just end in Black Bolt's decapitation. Perhaps their Captain Marvel had caught the blade as Thanos tried to smite her, and Black Bolt was nearby, and seized the opportunity to aim his shout between them, breaking the blade?

I've been thinking about Iron Man not being on the illuminati, what if Iron Man already died in a previous event. It is possible that Reed Richards made Ultron but if Tony Stark made Ultron he would have to died somewhere between the invention of Ultron and Thanos's quest for the infinity stones. Maybe Earth 838's version of civil war? Tony Stark could have invented the superior suit and it began to corrupt him, causing him to do something triggering civil war or even the illuminati killing him for the greater good (much like 838's Strange)?

I have to disagree with your assessment of their victory over Thanos. The Professor X flashback, they showed that they had to kill their Dr. Strange because he used and was corrupted by the Darkhold, not the book of Vishanti, which gave him the power to defeat Thanos, and why Blackbolt had to kill him.

I feel the fans fill out the plot holes more than the writers and studios do.

Why do they feel the need to shit on Thanos so much. Seeing him being killed/defeated a lot really diminishes his character to me.

Since Wanda in endgame was able to break a piece of Thanos sword with her blast, I’d think the illuminati captain marvel, could’ve produced a blast strong enough to break the sword. Since she also posses powers from an infinity stone. I’d also mention black bolt as well, but I’m not sure if his scream has precision to hit the sword.

Don’t know if anyone has brought this up yet but the reason there isn’t a Vision in 838 is because the Ultron protocol worked. Vision was the body ultron wanted to make for himself went he went rogue. Seeing as that didn’t happen in 838’s universe there is no need to create the Vision.

Your forgetting that thanos wore his armor in the end game battle also. They already said he felt more invincible with the stones.

Regardless of what the movie says, the MCU is not Earth 616, the comics are. Also the over 14 million (which also included the multiverse) battles with Thanos, Dr. Strange said they only won 1), so how did the Illuminati win? Also at the end of Spider Man NWH, Dr. Strange's spell made everybody forget Peter, but he's mentioned in Dr. Strange 2.

Based on the information we have thus far, if 838 Thanos got his first four Stones in the same order as 616 Thanos did, then we can probably assume that the Avengers were at least somewhat appraised of the situation, however Strange was able to incapacitate Cull and Ebony before he could be abducted, ergo preventing the mainstream involvement of Stark and Parker in the fighting. Proxima and Corvus probably still attacked Vision but were presumably incapacitated earlier on as well. No Stark, Parker and Ebony going to space means that neither they nor the GotG get brought to Titan. Strange assembles the Illuminati quick enough who then go to Titan to defeat Strange, as depicted in MoM. It's not likely that any wide-scale mobilization of Wakandan forces was likely, and Vision may have been kept under the watch of the Avengers. It's also worth noting that it appears that, in 838, the Ultron AI became corrupted but somehow never went so far as to amass vibranium and destroy Sokovia (how, I don't know). This would mean that the events leading to Civil War would never have happened, so Wanda's power levels would have remained on par with those she had at the end of AoU in 616. The events of CW never happening also mean that the Sokovia Accords don't become a thing and Wanda doesn't become a fugitive, and we already know that Vision bought the deed for his and Wanda's property in Westview before the events of IW. TL;DR: in 838, Ultron didn't win, which means CW doesn't happen, Wanda never develops her powers further, Vision doesn't die, Wanda and Vision get their house in Westview built and adopt Billy and Tommy together, as Wanda's powers wouldn't have advanced far enough to give them biological children. Vision is most likely the chief breadwinner of the house, hence why we don't see him during MoM, and the Avengers never had to get further involved in IW as Strange was proactive enough to mobilize the Illuminati and go straight to Titan to defeat Thanos.

I mean, the main 616 universe already showed that Captain Marvel can overpower Thanos, and the Illuminativerse 838 had a Marvel variant. Yes, 838 Thanos had the Infinity Gauntlet (judging by his outfit, he was the equivalent to Infinity War Thanos), but then again, the Illuminati also had Black Bolt, who can destroy an entire planet by simply talking normally (it's probably why Titan looks even more messed up in their timeline), as well as Professor X, who could definitely mess with Thanos' mind (Mantis was able to stall him, and Xavier has far greater mind abilities). And, of course, Strange fueled by the Darkhold. Also, who knows, there might've been quite a few X-men, Inhumans, Avengers (confirmed to exist due to Peggy) and the remaining F4 present as well. Basically, without all stones, Thanos was at a disadvantage. It also makes you realize how overpowered the 838 universe was compared to 616. No wonder they never even reached the "Endgame" of their universe. Makes me wish that Marvel Studios had retained the Fox movie characters way earlier. Imagine the craziness (they probably wouldn't have nerfed Thanos as much to show how powerful he can be against that many characters).

In my head canon, Dr strange of that universe 1v1 thanos and when the illuminati arrived he just accepted his fate. The book of vishanti so stronk wanda did not let us see what it's capable of doing

Vision did not appear on Earth 838 because the Ultron program was successful leading to vision never being created.

Firstly, I believe it wasn’t the book of Ashanti that the Illuminati used it was just the dark hold. That was Strange’s whole reasoning for using it in the first place, to defeat Thanos. It wouldn’t make sense to take the risk of using the dark hold and then also use the book of Ashanti. They also specify that it was Strange and the awesome power of the dark hold which did defeat Thanos. The other team members seem almost completely untouched in the flash back, whereas Strange is clearly mangled and torn up from the battle. I’d assume Strange confronted Thanos alone and the other members fought Thanos’s army on earth. Or at the very least the other members with Strange were all killed in the battle against Thanos. This would also makes sense for the Illuminati because it would mean that Strange would be weakened from the battle and thus less able to try and defend himself from being killed after the fight; if he decides to change his mind.

One point you missed! Wanda absorbed the energy from Maria which rid her of her invulnerability. It was a reverse uno of sorts. Wanda is smart and powerful.

The Illuminati simply lied to take 838 Strange's credit. If you notice in the flashback, Strange is the only one with battle scars and blood over him. All the other members of Illuminati are super fresh. They look like they just had a shower. I am pretty sure 838 Strange single handedly killed Thanos possessing 4 infinity stones by using the darkhold and book of Vishanti. And only after Thanos was dead, did the Illuminati come to execute Strange.

They were smug because Thanos was easy. Know why? Steve Rogers went to 15000000+ world with a complete set of reality stones and blocked Thanos in every one. He left 616 vulnerable. Everywhere else Thanos was either not a threat or too weak to use the stones. Then he returned the hammer and the stones.

Compare the power levels of the fights vs Thanos. The group fighting Thanos in 838 was far more powerful than the group from 616. In 616, the only one on Titan that could really stand toe to toe with Thanos was Dr. Strange. But in 838, Dr. Strange has the book of vishanti.

I could see dr. Strange forming an Illuminati team in earth 616 now that he seen them in a an alternate universe.

Its amazing to think some people thinkg the Illuminati showed up on Titan looking like they did. Its a flashback featuring the current crew live - do you really think Professor X showed up to fight Thanos on Titan in a suit? No they went in swinging and what we saw in the flashback is just them in the background. I mean there is MORE than just those few characters that could have been involved in the fight. Steven went it alone suire but I dont believe the costumes/unifors and lineup is one for one with what we see vs what happened.

I believe Captain Marvel of 838 was drained of her cosmic power by Wanda and so by the time the statue fell on her she was nothing but a human. I find it pretty odd that Earth 838 Dr. Strange and the Illuminati kill Thanos and Black Bolt easily kills Dr. Strange without him putting up a fight because the Illuminati council sees Dr. Strange as a possible threat. But Earth 616 Dr. Strange is possibly the 2nd most powerful being after Scarlet Witch and Scarlet Witch easily kills Black Bolt with magic or warping reality which I think Earth 838 Dr. Strange would be capable of doing if he's that big of a threat.

Vision wasn't there because he doesn't exist in universe 838 as the ultron program hadn't gone rouge, so there was no need for them to creat vision.

He did have his armor so that makes me wonder how he lost. In less than a second thanks could turn everyone into rocks or immediately destroy the entire solar system. So he must have still been bent on his mission of balance

What they did not show is that Mordo had the time stone and as soon as Wanda left and was destroyed at the end..Mordo reversed time for the captain america veriant and she asked "Did it work" Then Mordo says "have any of Reeds plans ever failed?" Then he reversed time and restores the others.. You see Reed Used the same trick The sorcerer Supreme used at the beginning of EndGame to decide the best out come. And Mordo restored the others the same way Thanos restored the mind stone/Vision! :)

We don’t know how many other heroes, and possibly villains, were involved and fell during the final battle with Thanos and what other powerful objects, forces and beings were involved. We also don’t know if the Thanos that the Illuminati faced was as powerful as his 616 variant. Could the Watchers, Dormammu, Celestials, Living Tribunal, the Kree, an Ultron army, the Inhumans, the Asgardians, the Olympians, Dr Doom, Magneto, etc with a Cosmic Cube, two infinity stones, the Cyttorak crystal, etc have all been in the final battle with Thanos but the only ones to survive and be in the group photo were those who became the Illuminati?

How they beat him confused me so much cuz Strange said there was only 1 possibility of the heroes beating Thanos.
