The military might of the US is not unparallel, having a bigger budget doesn't mean that their military is superior. In fact, Russia and China's military are much more high tec and advanced, they have hypersonic missiles that cannot be intercepted. They have AI and GPS 6G technology that is superior. But fortunately, the Swiss will soon be called to the polls to vote on the "Safeguard Swiss neutrality" initiative. According to the text, Switzerland must not join any military or defensive alliance, except in the event of a direct military attack. Nor should Switzerland take part in military conflicts, or impose sanctions on belligerents other than those decided by the UN. Hope!

I would disagree about the " unparalleled military might of the ......" Russia has the world's largest nuclear force and the most powerful hydrogen bombs, plus China has the world's largest industrial manufacturing capacity and the largest military personnel potential. As can be seen in the Ukraine, the Western military power has not amounted to anything decisive.

It didn't take Athens long to go from the powerful city state that helped and supported fellow city states to the powerful city state that oppressed and exploited others. The line between grace and greed is thin as hell. I do think the US is now at a point where Athens was headed straight to war with Sparta. The US's Sparta is China. USA loses to China in many warfare conflicts, win in some others but can't claim to dominate them at all. Instead, the US is Athens, able to exploit smaller military powered/defended countries while China can choose to check American efforts at any time. The Chinese aren't as clean as the Spartans, as celebrated for honor, but they are powerful and can win battles as easily. It's the modern tale of power, Athens and Sparta, USA and China. Russia is like Corinth, eager to see the USA/Athens fall.
