Hi guys, hope you all had a great week. Went out on the reefs again and caught some beautiful Kob. Wow, what an awesome feeling on the reefs again. It's such an amazing experience and a privilege to be able to share my experiences with you. In this video I explain the reason for using a sliding sinker and also how it works. Hopefully you guys will find this helpful and useful. I also show you how to tie my leader line to my swivel that leads to my hook line. I'm watching all your old vids for support. I got some Adrenaline fishing line on my reels last night and this morning. I think I am fully packed for my outing to fish there. High tide is 10am planning to get there at 8.

I used these with the Team Catfish weight slides to make a ru-vid.comUgkxdmsDj7fQXe77DC0l7P7ua8B3PiESUubM Carolina rig and they were perfect for the ponds I fish. I have also used them to make 3 way rigs and these work perfectly. Haven't had any issues with them snagging in rocks or in weeds yet.

Woow 😂😂I'm so happy to see that you are using the adrenaline I just buy that last Friday I didn't even know what I bought but I'm now happy to see what sinker can I put on reel to get a Kob fish ?

Hi Sibongile, yes adrenalin is a very good reel, maintaining it is just as easy. With a 12ft rod and Adrenalin reel with 27kg braid a 3oz sinker works well with this combo🎣🎣🤙🏻

You make it look so easy - Well done ! - what type (LB /KG) of braided fishing line do you use on your reel if you mind sharing ?

Hi Kyle, thanks for watching Crazy For Fishing SA. The braid that I'm using is 27kg, it makes it easy to cast a good distance but not the best to use on the reefs although currently it works for me. A stronger braid would probably be a better choice when targeting the bigger size kob but this one works well so far. 🎣🎣🤙🏻

I'm happy to watch all your videos I'm interested in fishing but I don't know the rules and legally fishing I do have some reels and rods 14 ft and 12ft what are legal fish size I must catch ?

Hi Sibongile, thanks for watching Crazy For Fishing SA. Depending on the types of fish you are targeting, but the usual shoreline fishes are Galjoen-35cm(15 October season closed), Kob-50cm, Hottentot-22cm. There are many others but if you Google South African Western Cape coastline fish they will give you a complete list. 12ft rod is good for reef or Rocky areas, 14ft is good for surf fishing. Please remember to have your fishing permit with you at all times, you can obtain this at any post office. Most of my videos explain the rig and bait used.🎣🎣🤙🏻

Hi, it all depends where and what you are targeting. Shoreline fishing, a 12-14ft rod, adrenalin is an affordable good quality rod, the one with graphite tip has a good backbone but the bluesurf rod can do the Job too. Rocky areas, 10-12ft is good. When targeting kabeljou, a 6/0 circle hook and sliding sinker as you will see me using in my videos. But all depends on the species you want to target. 🎣🎣🤙🏻
