It's a pretty good movie! I've seen all of Bong Joon Ho's movies, and I think it's better than Mother and Okja.

It's definitely his best film. Memories of murder is his second best, imo.

asdsdjf asdjxajiosdqw Memoirs of Murder, imo, is probably my least favorite, lol, it was a little boring for me, but it was better than Mother. The Host and Snowpiercer were really fun movies that entertained me. And as someone who loves dark movies, Barking Dogs Never Bite (there’s one scene in the movie that’s really controversial, similar to the cannibalism of the baby in Snowpiercer) is probably up there with Parasite...at least for me :p

I thought it was a bit too fast-paced in the beginning.

@@imjudging9024 That might be true, however if you know Korean cinema, or the director of this movie, it's an automatic watch. Plus Kang-Ho Song is one of my favorite Korean actors!

Korean movies in general are amazing! I've been a big fan of Korean cinema for many years.

@@aus-li I'll have to check them out! I thought the setting was so beautiful and it made me realize that I haven't actually seen that many things set in Korea, in general, which is a shame

Which means I've seen many foreign films, but Korea is superior in filmmaking than Europe and Asia, and they're experts in the thriller genre. Imo, I think they're also better than Hollywood films, as their storytelling approaches are mature and don't rely on many special effects.

Ellie Korean movies: The Chaser, Oldboy, A Hard Day (the antagonist in this movie is hilarious), The Handmaiden, Burning, Silenced, The Yellow Sea, Bedevilled, Hwayi: A monster Boy, The Good, The bad, and the Weird, Snowpiercer, The Drug King, Time to Hunt, Taegukgi (Brotherhood of War), The Host, Silmido, No Tears for the Dead, The Man From Nowhere, Once Upon a Time in High School, War of Arrows, Oasis (better than My Left Foot, imo), Welcome to Dongmakgol, The Front Line, The King and the Clown, Masquerade, Peppermint Candy, A Taxi Driver, Secret Sunshine, Brand New Life, The Wailing, Train to Busan, Three Extremes (the Cut short is my favorite), A Bittersweet Life, I Saw the Devil, Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance (the first of the trilogy, and is the best one, imo), A Dirty Carnival, Breathless, Friend, Barking Dogs Never Bite, Tokyo! (Interior Design and Shaking Tokyo are the best of the 3 shorts, imo) Kim Ki-duk movies: 3-Iron, Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter...and Spring (absolutely love this movie), Pietà, The Isle, The Bow, Adress Unknown, Time, Samaritan Girl I put Kim Ki-duk in his own category because I think he's the most consistent and unique Korean director, focusing on avant-garde and violence. There's other movies of his that are pretty extreme in nature, such as Moebius and Crocodile. I'm sure some of his movies are underappreciated; and the only 2 other Asian directors I can compare him to, is Takashi Miike and Takeshi Kitano. Anyway, I hope you enjoy these films that I found interesting :)

There's other amazing Korean movies out there, so I wouldn't call it "game-changing". You shouldn't really explore more Korean movies, it'll be worth it :)

All these videos are meant to be very short. If you want to learn more I'm sure there are longer pieces out there.

Watch it. You will not be disappointed. It is too early to say as it only came out recently, but I'm fairly sure that in ten years it will still be firmly within my top five films of the 21th century.

I recommend you to watch it. You probably thought this a plain movie but the plot twist is- unexpected. Gave me literal chills after found out about small hints in the movie. It's scarier that this movie its the truth reality for our social class.

It's about the lower class and upper class. A lower vlass family that tries to leech off of the upper class family. It's gard to explain the story but you should def watch it. 10/10 best movie of 2019
