There can be a permutation of reasons why, the website, the product, the positioning, I can't guess with no info.

Not working in real life. Optimize for purchases every time guys, this theory has FB representatives wet but at the end - opt. for ATC gets you low-quality Audience that doesn't purchase. The only way to train your Pixel is opt. for your Purchases and have a good deal, good creative and enough Budget. That's it

I have people all the time argue with me on this. All I have to say is show me the proof across more than 1 campaign, and more than 1 vertical. I've ran over $65M in media across almost every industry. I agree that most times, maybe 90% I would optimize for conversions, but there are reasonable scenarios where that does not make sense which I share the context of that in this video.

try including more qualifiers in your contact form (i.e. company size, title, etc). It will deter lower intent audiences from completing the form -- which will help the conversion algorithm focus on the audience who is converting (which is higher intent). Or consider reviewing your targeting to be more refined.

Great video! So to clarify....if I have a new eComm store with a new pixel, do I want to initially optimize for LPV or ATC? I am assuming ATC would be your first objective with a new pixel according to your video, so we should just skip over the LPV objective right?

Awesome Video, I really need this.. btw can you make a video on the current scenario of how to tackle ios 14.5, and talk about the stuff like how to measure results with google analytics or blended Roas/MER etc, also about conversion API. one last thing about prioritising pixel event like some says setup event - purchase, add payment info, IC, ATC, VC ..and others says prioritising purchase, IC, ATC, VC and enable value optimisation on purchase to get a better result, what should we do? I really like the way you simplified everything with your presentation. not like sit, open the camera and talk.. Thank you

Hey Zaryn, I loved your video. Simple and so meaningful! I started my ecommerce and pixel together I have zero orders and just had a 7 days brand awareness campaign with zero results. Can you advice me what to do? I need conversion. Someone said run brand awareness first before conversion. Please help me, even just a few words. It’s urgent :(

If you are planning to drive someone to a website to conver/submit a lead then yes. But if you plan to use a diff strategty (lead gen instant forms or call now optimization) then you don't need a pixel.

If i have a new pixel, and new account, and i up a new advertising on facebook, i detect witch new accounts and new pixel dont have sales, just burn my money, what i need to do, for optimize a new pixel? and generate a consistent sales how affiliate?

Should we make tweaks in our running adsets for optimization or not? Example if my 7day data says that Male 25_35 are converting well so should I make tweaks in my existing running adset or should i launch a new adset with that data

I would let it run, the algorithm is optimizing the media in real time. At somepoint, you might see diminishing results, and then it can move the money to other age ranges. Helpful! Would you say running a link click campaign prior to a conversion based campaign would help optimize a pixel? If so; how many clicks? Ad spend?

It would not be my first option, there are many other ways to do this more effectively. I actually have a video on this on our new Hyper Growth Ads program -- but my suggestion is to go for Conversion and optimize for View Content for E-comm if you are just starting for about a week or so. Hi Zaryn I have a question please. Is it Ok to include a new ad to an existing adset that's running for about a day and increase the Budget? Am I going to ruin my campaign?

Yeah, that should not break anything. I would possibly do one change at a time just incase your campaign is impacted, that way you can understand if it was the new ad or budget change.

How does this apply to lead generation for brand new pixel? Would you go for Lead or Landing Page Views?

Same concept. I would aim for lead, just replace "add to cart" with Landing Page View in the example provided and "lead" for purchase in the example and same concept.

So happy that I discovered your channel by chance. Pure value. Actually so far nearly $400 was thrown (wisely) at my pixel, tried to make my niche website, products, creatives, etc perfect and professional. And so far only three sales for a total of $75, with profit $37.5 minus some fees. It's a bit dissapointing because I worked hard since around this past May, invested in many apps and tools, and so yet I haven't reached the profiting stage. I'm wondering how people create so many pixels when optimizing just one seems to be cost-intensive especially for new entrepreneurs.

Hey Howard, this is a process. You are using Facebook to do a couple of things at the same time, 1) prove that your product/service has product-market-fit, 2) generate sales, and 3) build your brand. For most brands starting up this is very difficult to do all at once, and the fact that you already have some sales should be encouraging. Facebook is not a business strategy and should be 1 of many tactics to drive sales. Best of luck on the journey!

I don't agree. The learning phase is useless. A campaign with a lot of conversions is no better than another one with less. In my experience 3$ adsets perform better than 1000$ adsets.

No no you don’t understand. I’m not talking about conversions vs other events. I’m saying that the learning stage is not important. The cpp in the beginning won’t decrease after the learning phase is finished.. unfortunately.

Hi , i would like to ask you about the learnig phase , is it for 1 ad or for all the ads , for exemple i m running 3 ads , 3 diffrent products , and i'm generating orders from each product, if we count the exit frome the learnig phase is from 50-100 conversions ( purchaces ) , do we count all the purchases ( all products included ) or each product ( ad ) has it own learning phase ( 50 to 100 purshase ) ??

it would be per conversion event -- if 3 products are purchased at once then that would be 1 pixel fire upon conversion.

If the 3 ads for the 3 products are within the same adset, then you can count all the purchases made within the ads as 1. Take for example, you created ADSET 1 and within the adset you have 3 ads running for your 3 different products each generating different sales ( AD 1 = 5 ORDERS, AD 2 = 9 ORDERS AD 3 = 17 ORDERS) What you will see as the results in your campaign level and adset level is the sum of all these conversions put together, that is 5 + 9 + 17 = 31 Orders (assuming my math is correct...lol). Hope this helps.

Once one receives say 30+ conversions on an ATC campaign, what exactly do you do next? Meaning, do you set up a NEW purchase conversion adset under the same campaign? Do you change the ATC campaign over to purchase?

You would want to create a new ad-set, don't need to change the campaign. I would turn off the old ad-sets and turn on the new ones.

For example how many adsets in a campaign for the learning phase. And once theres enough atc for an adset, do we pause that adset and make another adset for initiate checkout for that same campaign? Or do we need to make another campaign & start a initiate checkout one adset campaign after the atc data is up to 500

When trying to add the ad account ID, this is what I get: "Ad Account has a stored balance, prepay accounts are not allowed to be part of a business at this time." Any idea about this annoying @#$% of a problem 😭😭😭 I worked really hard for months.. researching, planning, store, content, product descriptions, Facebook page with posts, etc. This is super frustrating.

Depends -- 500 conversions for the ad account is a threshold I have heard thrown around a lot, but each campaign needs about 50 conversions to fully optimize delivery.

The way that you explain seems to imply that the algorithm somehow has the ability to record or memorize conversion activity initiated from a higher funnel conversion event and somehow carry that which was learned over to a lower funnel event. However your guidance skims over without explaining in depth what exactly to do in order to move over to a bottom of funnel event (purchase,...)? Is it using a custom audience or lookalike audience of those who completed a TOF or MOF (view content,...) activity in a new ad set? Sounds a bit like retargeting as well. Or do I start a new or duplicate an ad set optimized for the new BOF event (purchase, lead,...) and somehow the algorithm remembers and knows what to do based upon experience from earlier ad set for the higher funnel event? E.g., If I'm getting 100 ATC conversions in a campaign and some of those progress to Purchase, somehow the algorithm is recording that activity and then at some juncture a new ad set would be created for the Purchase event?

hey i dont know if im the only one with this issue but id really appreciate it if you could answer this. My events manager shows 7k page view but when i generate custom audience past 180 days for website page view its saying less than 1000. When i try create ad it says estimated daily reach is less than 10. Any idea why?

i tested pixel and it seems to catch all actions im doing on my site too which is why i don't understand why the audience is so drastically inaccurate or untracable

IOS 14.5 is making audience sizes really funky these days since about 50% of users have opt-ed out of tracking in the the U.S.

Awesome ! Let's say you get 50 ATC now, how then do you optimize for Purchase ? Do you wait for the algorithm to be able to generate around 30 to 50 per week within your "educated" ATC optimized adset, before duplicating with a Purchase conversion event ? How much budget needed in order let ATC objective to generate 30-50 purchases conversion? Thanks.

Some context missing here, if you are getting 50 ATC and not 1 single conversion then there might be something else going on (maybe CRO is needed on the site). If you are getting 5-15 sales of that then it would certainly make sense to pivot to converisons.
