I live in Russia. And I want to say that everything that is happening in Ukraine right now is really terrible. Many of us have many relatives and close people from where. We sincerely want peace, we don't want people to die. but, unfortunately, no one asked us, no one is interested in the opinion of ordinary citizens, everything is decided by the government. We really hope everything ends well.

Well there is a reason for the war and the reason is NATO. I don't get why the people in Russia is against it. It is for their own country safety because if Ukraine become a member of NATO, America can put all their weapons and missiles in Ukraine which is just arm's rest from Moscow and this is why Ukraine invaded Ukraine. Now let's imagine a scenario where Mexico let Russia to be its partner and let Russia keep its missiles and other military equipment, do you think US will let this happen? Putin allow dialogue to go on from 2014, but US keeps on interfering with the Ukraine. Hence the only option. I want you to suggest other methods that Russia could opt instead of invading Ukraine........

Imagine if the majority of Russian soldiers decided to unite and simply reject orders to be utilized as disposable puppets of greed. This is a new era unlike the eras of the previous wars where information wasn’t readily available to civilians. Soldiers are human beings with a conscience and a heart. As the human race, we all have links to other countries in one way or another. Even ants have united to overthrow their queen, why don’t humans realize how powerful we are when we unite against any “higher authority” on a power trip. If you must risk your life anyway, at least risk it for the greater good of humanity. United soldiers can choose which side of history they’ll play a role in. I send you so much love, light and positive energy to you, your girlfriend, and all the civilians in both countries ❤️

As a Russian myself, I’m terrified of this situation. None of my friends, family members, neighbors want this war to happen or to continue. My grandad was a Ukrainian. He was a great soldier and came back from the Second World War alive. I still remember how my mom would talk about that war and how brave was my grandfather. I am, as a Russian, I’m absolutely against any wars. And a lot of people here think the same way. In 2017 I was in the USA, I loved the country, people and the culture, I was amazed by it and it has its place in my heart. Nothing can take a piece of love to any of these countries from my heart.

Thanks for sharing that. I am russian from Belgium.. I feel totally devastated, empty, morally exhausted... I can't find words to describe the horror of this situation. This is not the reality that I want. Feel terrible for Ukrainian people. Hope that one day they can forgive us. Russian government doesn't represent all of us. I can not do much to stop this, but a small thing I can do, is to let the world know, we don't want this war. We want a peaceful sky above our heads, and above the heads of Ukrainian people.

If people just didn’t fire .. all of this would have ended like Crimea .. without any casualties.. and look at Crimea now; they’re prospering .. but all it takes is someone who’s trigger-happy and obviously starts a firefight and in end result the civilians become a collateral casualty.. its upsetting for not understanding that Russia isn’t going to give up.. for the Russia its all about having a buffer state between foreign military bases and their capitol just like cuban Missiles crisis in 1961 . why fight I don’t understand.. politically its the same.. just with Russia you’ll get cheap gasoline and natural gas.. but I’ve seen what Russians are bringing next its a TOS-2 - scary weapon.. its not going to end well

@@GOLEG11 It’s not just about that because then it doesn’t make sense that when Russia was offered a mutual security deal by NATO including making a deal on missiles, Putin still chose to invade. Putin wants to control Ukraine. And the people in Ukraine doesn’t want to be a vessel state under a Russian dictatorship so they do not surrender. Russia signed a treaty promising to NEVER invade Ukraine, which includes Crimea by the way. If it’s possible to break deals so fundamentally, then how can anyone trust any deal made with Russia.

Me and my friends are actually the ones who have families in Ukraine and Russia at the same time. Fortunately for us, Russian soldiers do not shoot ordinary citizens. What they truly do is showing Ukrainian government what they COULD BE doing by shooting the ground for example. I'm just extremely happy that all the ordinary citizens aren't getting hurt💞

When do we learn it, our leaders are not there for the people but for their egos, the money and elite that give them power. My confidence in politicians around the world has really declining in recent years. If Belarus joins in too Lukashenkos legitimately of the president would be called into question once more. The people of Belarus could start rioting, as they are being used as a gate way for invasion and they will be effected by a second round of Chernobyl as well as the rest of Europe.

It's not your fault Russia has been hijacked by a madman. The world praises the courageous Russian citizens that are risking physical harm and long term prison sentences to protest this. My heart is broken from seeing the chaos and pain caused by war. If I were the president of Ukraine I would have loud speakers all day long talking to the Russian soldiers asking them how they would feel if the tables were turned. The only one who could have stopped this was Putin. There was no legitimate argument or conflict to be "resolved". Putin has intended for years on seizing Ukraine and making it become part of the Russian Federation by force. This is not the result of a conflict, it's a premeditated attempt to take a sovereign nation by force. He was ALWAYS going to do this.
