I think our tackling WAS bad, but our scheme makes sure when the first guy misses, we got 5 more guys coming right after. As a unit, great tackling, but individually, only a few stand-outs.

I'm SOOOO happy to hear Jamal Adam's is gone. His "career" with the Seahawks reminded me alot of what happened with Brian Bosworth. Remember him? (You probably weren't born yet!🤣😂😅) He was a BIG DEAL Rookie from the universy of Oklahoma ..Everybody was so excited about him coming to Seattle...I think he he lasted 2 seasons before he was injured. He blew his shoulder out because he had degenerative arthritis that Nobody knew about. Anyway, I'm super excited about this season! I haven't felt likes this about the Hawks since 2013. Mike McDonald has given everyone such a great sense of hope and anticipation. This is going to be such a great season ... maybe even the best!💚💙💚💙

Defense was struggling last 3-4 years. This created need for geno to throw ball. We were over 60% which is not good

The tackling thing needs to be taken into context. There was 7 missed tackles in a limited number of opportunities. Not good, obviously. But I saw a lot of those as DBs near the sideline on swings where they had bad angles and usually 2-3 yds downfield and as noted, guys behind that coming in to fill and get the Broncos player OB or on the ground. It is only week 1 so not going to over-react one way or the other. It was middle of the pack overall. O-line also, despite the shaky start, were a lot better as the game went on.

It took a while for offense to dust off cobwebs, but when it kicked in wow.

They were missing tackles last year which was embarrassing. Getting a great free agent rotation was absolutely needed to fuel team.

There’s a LOT to love about the Hawks this year, very excited compared to years past. I think it was to be expected that the offence would start slow, new coordinator, new-ish line playing together the first time, some players not getting snaps in preseason etc.. but it all came together in the 2nd half and if we build on that, this could be a scary team in the NFC this year!

That tackling grade makes pff not a credible source of information to me and the grades don’t matter so you’d have to take it as a grain of salt. Imo.

I feel like I listened to an interview where MM has told the D if they know they have support, go for the impact hit, otherwise make sound tackling. I think that might be the difference from what people vs PFF's grade in tackling. All those tackles missed knowing they had support to finish it.

From watching the game , this was one of our best tackling outings I can ever remember watching . Broncos may have finished dead last in YAC
