The Shadow Sirens / The Three Shadows are some of my favorite villains in the Mario franchise. Do you prefer the original version of their battle tune or the one from the remake?

Another thing that makes the chord progression in the beginning so great and sinister is its use of the minor 2nd interval (C to C#). Thats the same interval the was used in the Jaws theme. It adds a nice sense of foreboding atmosphere. Great video as always, can't wait for more TTYD analysis!

The new part makes me think the piano and its following instrument is supposed to represent Vivian since she’s the one who stands out(just like how the piano stands out due to randomly coming).

6:05 if you begin counting during the previous sections and count as 8th (1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and...) rather than quarter notes, the timpani hits seem to fall on the "ands" - definitely disorienting!

Ooh, I'd love to see more of these! The comparisons between the old and new soundtrack is super interesting. Maybe one looking at the original TTYD battle theme, then the new variants in the remake? Stoked that you enjoyed Origami King's soundtrack too, it's one of my all time favorites!

You can even play the GC versions IN the new game via the Sound Gallery + the Nostalgic Tunes Badge for One-time battles. However, if you want bangers for that 1 coin, use the Nostalgic Tunes in Part 1 of Chapter 4, then turn it off for Part 2 of Chapter 4 so you can get the modern tracks thrown in with the old, adding that much more charm to Chapter 4. I'd have to say my favorite is the music that plays during battles in the main dungeon areas where the boss waits. Such as Hooktail Castle or The Great Boggly Tree; but, have not beat the game yet, so I need to hear all the chapter battle themes to determine which is my favorite.
