➛ "Stop trying to prevent fate that has been sealed by nature when your time has come to say farewell."
Stoicism is a practical philosophy to master control over oneself, especially our emotions. So, it has a history of being a valuable tool that each individual can use to heal different struggles in life, including acknowledging the reality of death.
I wanted to explore the depth of death from the perspective of Stoic philosophy and what it implies, using movies and recorded literature. I think there's a value to be learned through this philosophy, particularly concerning the loss of life. So many people struggle with this element, to know that at one point, everything will be over and that they must say farewell to the life they have or witness the death of someone close to their hearts.
Thank you all for watching; stay strong out there, and be courageous.

Hey! Sorry I couldn’t manage to reach you directly, would you be kind enough to share with me the name of the first song in the video “the true successor” of Kung fu panda? 🙏🙏🙏🙏

@@cedrickdherlin6710 I don't know the name of the song, but all the music in that video is from the official soundtracks of the movies. However, I know that the song you are asking for is used in the third movie and Po and his father are talking together on the balcony after training po "how to be a panda". Search it up on RU-vid, you will find it there.

I lost my father a month back, he was the most wise and the kindest person I had in my life. Everyday I feel like walking with a burden on my heart. Thanks to videos like such which helps me find peace in my new reality. "Death smiles at us all, the only thing that we can do is smile back."

This video hit hard bro. As an ICU RN, ive seen where death should have happened and the prolonging of life because the family cannot fathom the thought of allowing their loved in peace because of not wanting to let them go. COVID has definitely pushed me towards this philosophy. Great video my man.

Compared to the philosphies of the past, there seems to be more and more a negative notion about the finality of death in our modern days. I found this to be somewhat troubling, personally. As you describe, I can see that you view and relate to this as well. Glad you found this video valuable, and thank you for the insightful comment!

Thanks for the video. As a person who has anxiety and fears death, this video has made me feel just a bit better. What scares me the most about death is the nonexistent feeling of anything, just like what you said about "everything you built up is gone." But it really isn't about what i built it's more about having control over the consciousness and when that leaves us what do we have left? I've heard that "sleep is like a subscription to death" and that doesn't soothe me much but I believe at the very least when my time comes, I won't know and I take solace in that one day I won't wake up and won't understand what happened. But then again I will think about this for my entire life and worry, but hopefully I can overcome this fear.

A quote I try to keep in mind is "Death is only the end if you believe the story is about you", which is to say in a Stoic context that you are part of a larger living world and It's not just about you. So, it falls back to the "Death is not an offense against nature, but a necessary transformation into the soul of our mortal earth". Ultimately, do your duties as a living human being and when the time comes, we must accept to say farewell and give ourselves up to nature, a go back home to where we came from. As a stoic, death is no different from how you felt before you were born, you see?

Incredible work, m8. It really speaks to me right now. I've always admired the prominent stoicism figures (Marcus Aurelius, Epictetus) since I learned about who they were. I've been dealing with losing my close one recently, together with other typical life challenges. Philosophy of stoicism seems like a good way to get out of this spiral of never-ending obstacles and align my mind with a certain belief. I came to this video from one of your other videos, Gladiator, a movie that depicts strong dedication, mourning and calmness. All of this is slowly forming my new thinking of reality and sense of life, and I'm really grateful for that. Thank you once again for this video!

I sincetrily hope the stoic path for you will help you through struggles. I can say with confidence that It has changed my life. The more I apply the philosophy, and stick to it, the more it helps me. Even if it's sometimes difficult or bitter to do so. Thank you for watching!

Tremendous video, man. I am heartened to see so many returning to the wisdom of the Ancients. Recently I've seen many people I enjoy online have discovered Stoicism and are embracing it. "RedFrost Motivation" is another channel I really enjoy, and in the last few months all of their videos have been about the Stoics & Stoicism. A move I certainly applaud. When one fully embraces and practices the Stoic discipline: the ways the soul will grow are immeasurable. My father gave me Marcus Aurelius' Meditations 10 years ago. I was at my lowest point: lost everything & everyone that mattered to me (or so I thought), life completely destroyed, all hope for the future vanished. I consulted it's wisdom from time to time without really fully embracing it, though the majority of the books, tv, and movies (many of which you have featured in this video) that have spoken to me throughout my life advocate or hold up Stoic principles to one degree or another. It's been in the last several years, really since the pandemic started, that I made a point to truly learn and understand the Stoic Way. And to start applying those mighty principles in my daily life. I have found tremendous fulfillment in doing so; the practice of moderation and self-mastery is a fruitful undertaking. To move with dignity, honesty, and honor in all things. To see everything that occurs, even hardships, as an opportunity to learn & become a better man. To make sure that my words & deeds are aligned. To apply myself to every single thing I do, every activity, every chore, every adventure, every moment of joy and sorrow. To be a force for good in a world that advocates and rewards the opposite of all of these ideals. I seek to leave nothing on the table. And when my time on this Earth is done, whenever that may be, I will know in my bones and in my soul that I lived a full minute, a full hour, a full day...a full life. That I thrived, and hopefully helped others to thrive too. Keep up this awesome work man.

That was such a great read, and really well written. Thank you very much for such an insightful comment. I'm glad Stoicism has made your life better and easier, yet another example of its remarkable philosophical quality, and how practical it is. Just like you, I found my way through Stoicism during a need to battle hardships, and since then, I've stuck around with it, and apply a lot of its strategies in my day to day life to make it better, and in way easier. I've watched "RedFrost" for, good over three years now, and many more like it. Great channels to just rest, and listen whenever you need some reminders.

Great video my friend, after I've faced many problems throughout 2022 where my father passed away 1 week before my birthday, I had many difficulties with managing the succession, I lost one of my job, my girlfriend dumped me and now my last grand mother learned that she got cancer. I feel like everything is suppose to happen in this world to teach us lessons and make us grow. And that's what I worked through since last year notably on working and developing my physic, working my stoicism, building myself a solid business, learning to love me more and to build the foundations for a great life when I'll have a family. And now the fruits of this work have already started to show with my business, my body, my mind and my hapiness and feel of fulfilment. Stoicism is about death but also about stop being distract by things that don't matter around you and stay ground and keep working and advancing whatever comes in on your path. I love these kinds of videos that deserve millions of views. Keep up the good work man!

You have my respect for being resilient, and pushing through those hardships. Regardless of what philosophy one tries to embody, those things does weight one down. Stoicism is however an excellent practical tool to help overcome these struggles, and as you said your self, It's proving to help you on a day-to-day basis. That's really good!

God has given us a sense to discern natural law with free will without religion. For lack of reason of love which brings only purpose through Gods divinity to our temporal lives in which only he can fulfill. Such divine creation can only derive from God Jesus almighty whom came as man of God died for our option at redemption to set us free from our sins. Letting go of one’s perception of control and bending a knee to worship one true God then only then can one truly be fulfilled with purpose and spiritual plenitude while effortlessly eliminating fear and anxiety through Gods intercession in our lives. thank you for this wonderful prospective.
