INCOMING LEAGUE RANT IN RESPONSE TO THIS VIDEO (It's not negative I promise!!!!): As someone who recently took an extended break from the game, and then returned earlier this year, I've been playing a lot of Vayne since my return. I typically don't have much issue carrying when I get enough farm under my belt, but there are some games where I just... die TOO much on her. I recognize this as a problem in my gameplay, and always attributed it to undeserved aggressiveness in my gameplay (i.e. trying to force a trade at an item disadvantage just because "you feel strong now" instead of recognizing the game's state and just farming lol). After this video, I realize now that I can still push situations that I perceive as beneficial for me, all I really have to do is build in response to the threats at hand. I always had the assumption that hypercarry ADCs like Vayne ONLY should build straight Attack Damage, but since my extended break after playing nearly every day for a span of 10+ years, stuff like this is really helpful to get me out of my "Season 3" Mindset. Sometimes, I feel like this game is like every other game from my childhood. Almost as if you could pop in Ape Escape 2 on your PlayStation 2 in 2021 and it would play the exact same as it did back in 2001. League is not like Ape Escape, or other games we grew up with. League changes. Constantly. Coming back into the game from my break, I realized this VERY hard. It felt... refreshing, but almost as if I lost something along the way. I stepped away from the game at that time and made the choice to focus on life. When I was, and am done dealing with life, League has always been there for me. Vayne or otherwise. But, Vayne, has changed. The game itself, has changed. I really enjoy playing League, and all the changes, trials, and tribulations that come with calling yourself a "Summoner", but sometimes, I just wish for a simpler time. A time where ADCs could go full glass cannon and still be effective. Now, Randuin's Omen? I'm not familiar, but if this is the 2023 Vayne Tech, I'm excited to play this for myself, and carry even harder than before. This whole comment turned into a small vent about the game and my experience playing for a while and what I'm learning after a break from the game. Videos like this are very helpful for me because they serve to introduce a new perspective of any individual character. Sure, we have the Most Effective Tactic Available (a META), but where's the fun in that? Surviving longer, and dealing more damage? Now, THAT sounds like fun to me. Best part? It's not meta!!! Long story short... (TL;DR): I took a break after playing League for 10+ years straight, came back, and the game changed. WOW. WHAT A SHOCK. BUT-- I just adjusted how I play, and I'm having a lot of fun and climbing pretty steadily. Sometimes I wish the game was how it was back when I first started playing, but videos like this serve to remind me that: YES! It CAN still be like how it was!! The meta DOES NOT matter because Challenger players are doing wacky (to me) things in-game like Randuin's Omen builds on Vayne and getting Challenger, so what's my excuse? Yes, you can have fun AND climb, it IS possible! And videos like this should serve as an affirmation to this fact. THAT IS THE POINT OF THE PARAGRAPHS!!! Thank you for reading my ventrant!! =w=
I really agree with what you said. League is constantly changing and will continue to do so. But... good decision making and macro play will always be the deciding factor in a game. The micro aspects are still important. But they only really make a difference at the highest levels of the game when both teams decision making is already optimal. Unless you are playing at the highest level you can do off meta stuff and still win just by playing smarter than your opponent.
Thanks for the good video! Just have two questions to all of you guys: 1. Do you know, why the trinity build has the best wr on Vayne right now instead of guinsoos? 2. Also, why do people rush kraken / statikks first instead of botrk?
imo the first answer could be that trinity is better early and some games don't last long enough in certain elos, it's also much easier to play with for not an OTP. about the second question probably cuz of build paths, it's a major part of every item and how good they are (look at IE, which is pretty boring with it's uninteractiveness but it's major downside is the build path, allowing you to only buy two sorta useful items that are expensive and one that is pretty meh alone.) and whole BotRK doesn't have that bad of a build path as IE, unless you are good enough i think the noonquiver and the other item is gonna give you much better laning time than the items of BotRK (they are good on like sett, not as much vayne imo)
As main Vayne player, I watched a lot of videos about this champion. My conclusion is she stills be a weak champion in this patch(and coming patches, cuz nobody wanna see her likes when LOL items havent balanced yet, she is a MONSTER CARRY). In bot lane, u could raise your winning rate by playing with tier S support having opening fighting ability(Nautilus, Braum, Leona, Blit,..) and training to farming cs, trading, dodging in high level. She couldnt win first phase of game like before becuz many champs has buffed inclining to playing at team fight(Xayah, Aphe, Cailtlyn, Varus, Zeri).
@@giomongta6961 i mean when i play vs almost full tanks i go W in to rageblade but now in squishy teams i like Q max with lethality works good in d2-master elo
I been running fleet footwork and winning games, keeps me healthy in lane and i can kite and sustain easier in later fights. everyone to their own haha
@@MissFortuneDaBes same here. So I usually pre-translate all the stuff I may need (especially the names) and write it down as well. Otherwise you seem to be speaking well enough on your live recordings, so don't worry about that.
I've been using this rune page and getting consistent win results with vayne I think it pops off more after the 2nd item, usually trinity force for me after that i can solo the enemy adc if they are alone
about the items, I'm still a fan of the Trinity Force, especially against a team that has like 4-5 squishies when playing Vayne. It gives her a lot of agency in the middly game, and it also gives you good atats. I should try playing more with guinsoo but I really hate the build path for BotRK currently as the first item but I quess I could try it.
@@shinobuoshino5066 i am indeed in bronze, even against 3 or 2 squishies, rushing trinity feels nice, and unless the tank is a full tank or goes a lot of defensive items it's still pretty good against them
@@khyrmiee maybe you'd stop being bronze if you finally realized that vayne wins prolonged fights and not short trades lol To be specific, vayne's base attack damage is garbage, and I doubt you've read what trinity force actually does, otherwise you'd know that it's a trash item on vayne. Trinity force is a scaling item for bruisers and the only adc that builds it is ezreal. BotRK passive is simply superior and costs less, vayne benefits from all 3 stats, unlike in Trinity force where both ability haste and HP are basically worthless, if you want some HP go build a Randuin's as 4th item to totally troll enemy adc. Movement speed? Yeah just build phantom dancer and wit's end, it's not like vayne ever had a problem with chasing to begin with. Vayne's cooldowns also are incredibly low by default, shaving off 0.1s from Q won't help you, whatever bonus damage trinity does from sheen is overshadowed by vayne autoattacking a few times with BotRK, you need to autoattack at least thrice in the first place. You have to remember that it's not anti-tank item, it works on everyone, even mages, who happen to build items that have HP. Also I see now there's items like Kraken slayer, which also has superior stats, regardless of whether its passive is good or not. Then there's guinsoo's and so on, there's plenty of items that are strictly better on vayne. I didn't play league for well over 5 years and nothing has changed lmao.
@@shinobuoshino5066 botrk price has changed so much that it's actually cheaper to get kraken or shiv rn and all the time that you wasted typing out something i alr know is stupid, maybe i would come out of bronze if i actually played some rankeds lol. currently vayne with trinity is strong enough for it to be the main meta agreed by most player and i know sheen on trinity scales mainly with base ad, that's why in really long games i change it up for essence reaver which gives you damage based on bonus ad, don't talk shot to ppl if you didn't play the game for 5 years (also not a vayne main so idk why you got so mad over someone's opinion bruh) also due to your not playing league you didn't notice that the meta now makes trinity good on ashe (op champ with trinity according to challengers), draven, ezreal and as i said earlier vayne (also zeri a bit back before it got trashed by riot)
I find kraken triforce build path better, at least of me, bork is very expensive and kraken will mostly likely deal more damage early game untill people start building and gaining more health.
Guys, I'm here to update ya'll on the questions you've been asking. He went POM in 1 of his last 10 games, running Triumph on the other 9. He's starting shiv about 60% of his games now, there's 2 where he went BotRK, agaisnt Magifelix's yasuo adc. He usually goes trinity 2nd. If he went blade he still goes guinsoos 2nd. He also took resolve in 4 of his last 10, domination once, and inspiration 5 times. Just wanted to point out. Even tho 1st blood is worth 100 gold more, and that lvl 1 play is completely int. As soon as they got both sums on Kai'sa, his best play is to slow push the wave into a dive. Kai'sa can't walk up to cs since she would be about 100 hp (which is an auto-Q from vayne), and vayne would get lvl2, giving her more stats. In the case that Kai'sa went B after. She would lose about a wave of exp, while vayne could safely go B, specially knowing her jungler would be top side, so they could be in danger of a gank. He wouldn't get the 400 gold, but he would have a way better lane control and momentum. Now, this is taking in consideration that both players are on equal ranks. Obviously that, if he was smurfing on, let's say master, he could afford to be flashless with a kill advantage since, he's overall a better player than his oponnent.
