Nah got this one wrong bud, they’re both good trust me, but solo leveling just got different for us readers that ONLY got tired of op mc or strong mc at the very beginning of the story. While Solo leveling actually grinds for his power, giving us cool and badass mc that was once weak and just some of us really liked how the story goes like that. It’s just not the same with this manhwa.

I would advise reading second Life ranker or levelling with the gods. These two are incredible and much better as well as in the style of solo levelling in a sense.

I read the manhwa but I left it on the part where he got his body back fixed and said he's coming after the ones that snaked him. Then i was on the part where he beat up some Geminis, Some fun times. I left it to read Solo leveling which is hands down a master piece but shit Imma come back to this

The real reason solo leveling hits hard is because we get to sung woo progress and grow as a character and it’s so satisfying to see his hard work pay off they might be made by the same studios but story just doesn’t hit as hard

solo leveling had insane art, and the action was very heart pumping, and the story was bad-ass, but overall it wasn't deep at all. and the romance was UNNECESSARY and felt very injected and artificial

I liked the idea of the Manhwa initially and felt the vibe in the first very few chapters but it then subtly changed to most manhwa MCs and then I think I stopped after he defeated the first major enemy because I wasn't feeling it too well at that point. I still prefer solo leveling to it. I think the main issue I had was that the feeling and vibe I had at the very initial moments of the Manhwa was switched up real fast as soon as the Manhwa progressed

MC starts looking original… flesh torn off etc. can’t get women like “I am the crazy demon” MC. And now… generic MC generated.

It's not even close to solo levelling. Like at all. It's definitely good and is one of the things that I will be reading weekly but I do have some problems with it. This is what I think of the chapters so far and what I like/dislike about the overall direction it's been taken. Geon's original design was fucking awesome. He looked like a badass who had went through hell and back, cause he did. He had a massive scar, was blind in one eye, and had long grey-ish blue hair. That screams "iconic" and "original". Then they threw away that absolutely badass design that moved them away from typical pretty boy MC manhwa in favor for a Geon that still had his long hair but looked much younger and lacked the scars. I still liked this design. It's not often you see a MC with long hair like Geon's. But THEN they threw away the only unique part of the character's design and just made him look like Sung with slightly less kept hair. Its annoying how they threw away such a great design. And the other thing I dislike is how we have barely seen anything about what the ouroboros snake thing is. It's not shrouded in any mystery seeing as the MC doesn't really care too much or question what the hell it is, and its not explained or used in enough capacity to get a good understanding of what it actually is. It's just powering up an already very overpowered character without adding anything substantial to the plot. That's really where my major complaints end though. Geon's personality is infectious. He's hilarious, and he provides a great change of pace over the usual MC who is non-confrontational at best and anti-social at worst. And even among the revenge MCs he is far and above the most aggressive. He makes time for himself and does what he wants when he wants. He doesn't ask anybody and doesn't care about what others think of his decisions. He's the only one capable of making his decisions for him. His story about being the only Saint that wasn't given powers by a god, and him being the strongest of the saints fits him like a glove. If you saw his character and didn't know where he placed among the saints you could easily tell he was the strongest based solely on his earnest self confidence and the way he presents himself to others. There isn't much actual story to be digested yet even though it's been 29 chapters but it's been entertaining none the less. Now this could just be all the trash-hua I've read dumbing down my expectations and how much I need to enjoy a story or lack there of, but it is supremely fun, and like I said earlier Geon's personality is infectious. I'm looking forward to more chapters, and hopefully the story blossoms into something as wonderful as solo levelling. That was about it. I don't have much more to add. Its probably a 7/10 right now, maybe a 6/10. I said it was fun but that will only keep up for so long. Comparing this to Solo Levelling, an intensely rich story from start to finish, is just fighting a losing battle. Maybe you could argue this being better when its done and there is more story but right now the first 30 chapters of Solo Levelling easily outclass this. I haven't read the LN this is based on so I don't know how it'll fair but I hope it does well in the coming years.

I've been keeping up to this manhwa ever since SL finished but I wouldn't say it's already better than SL. It's very good for sure but I might have to wait on this one to see if it can actually be on SL level of hype

Look, the return of the disaster class hero is definitely good but to say it’s as good or even better than solo leveling just ain’t true. Although we haven’t seen all of disaster class hero I doubt it’ll be written better than solo leveling, plus keep in mind solo leveling actually gets even better with the little “slice of life” side stories that unfortunately didn’t make it to the manhwa

I love both series but I could say both have different ideas for solo focuses on the journey of a character's rise to power and world development, while RODCH is more goofy and more simple, a guy who's strong beating up bad people, it's just fun to read I recommend it

We heard the same thing when people said limit breaker easily better than sl then came doom breaker earlier known as sucidal battle god,then came second life ranker but none could reach the hype level popularity that sl had. Nowadays most manhwas r just straight crap some r on hiatus like they r gone forever. Only webtoon platform has great quality comics.

I do like it, as I started to read more more manhua and manwha I realized that solo leveling is not "the best" as many think, imo the actual best is called the begging after the end, as not only does it create a unique universe with "new" laws, but it also has the MC actually struggle continuously, and not Ina a forced way, the thing that got me turning down solo leveling was that at one point is Sung Jin woo would just instantly win without struggling, not like the first chapters where even if he had powers and that he still had to play it safe, TBATE does is in a natural way, were each new antagonist has a reason or was hinted to be strong af to keep the MC in check

I like Solo leveling better even tho it may have a SHIT ENDING. Jin Woo's swag is just so much more superior. He doesn't smile because he's too powerful, he's not overly OP enough to smile in a fight as well. He's just humble and straight to his goal and that is killing his enemies. He is void of some emotions maybe that's one of the reasons why but I just hate that smiling over confident shit most of these OP Protagonist manhwas have. Sometimes it even ruins the mood, unnecessary jokes in the middle of an awesome fight and some chibi faces.

Don't know weather it's better or not I ain't placing no bets yet but I've been reading it and it's hella enjoyable.

Both are good but it’s kinda hard to compass them cuz like Solo Leveling is one of those game system level up to OP status ones while Disaster Class is one of those OP stopped the apocalypse sorta characters who for X reason didn’t make it back from the final fight to “save humanity” from X final boss (usually due to greedy teammates who want the glory for themselves or some other betrayal) but then years later comes back to bulldoze the idiots who betrayed them or whatever also has a lot more comedy-esk moments like that other manhwa… ah what was it again… I read so many of these I tend to lose track… OH RIGHT it’s Advanced Player of the Tutorial Tower, man it never gets old watching him beat the living hell out of people with just his slippers Disaster Class and Tutorial Tower have more in common then Disaster Class and Solo Leveling would, also there’s another one with similar vibes to Diaster Class uh Return of the Frozen Player I believe it’s a nice one

I will advise all manhwa readers of Solo levelling, to read the novel also. It's just insane when you character designs and surroundings picture in your mind and then when you read it, trust me you'll go insane... I read very less novels, and even if i do, i drop it in middle, but this one is just some next level... I even started reading manhwa from start again... It has just hooked me a lot.

This manwha is hood but it isn't better than solo leveling reason it doesn't have that kick and excitement that solo leveling has but it has a good story and a visual which is easy on the eyes

I need more of the story to say its better or not but I have to say I do like his expression better than Jinwoo, they made Jinwoo feel very stoic sometimes while the Mc of return of the disaster class hero is very expressive, I like his evil expressions ha. It also feels funnier than solo leveling. I also don't quite understand people who say its bad compared to solo leveling when its only 29 chapters in.

Like started off with a serious vibe of revenge(was expecting u know..taking their life and stuff or something), his revenge so far..sure its funny, but nothing important, just in the joke category. They did forshadow some interesting things which could make it good tho.

I really thought that this manhwa is a bloodthirsty one, where the mc mercilessly killed the other hero who betrayed him. But i was wrong, the way he killed them is fcken hilarious to the point i stop reading.

Honestly idk yet I like the plot an the way it’s going but i can’t say it’s solo leveling tier until we get into depth of the story. I would put it in the better manhwa section tho (I’m reading the light novel but I haven’t gotten too into it yet)

The thing that makes solo leveling greater than all fantasy manhwas is the them of progression it shows rather than making it fast or off screen it dedicates an entire arc showing sung jin woo becoming stronger in places only he can go in which makes his ability as a player more special. If was another manhua it would made it off screen or use the time skip ability which we all know that happen in most of the arcs. Now back to this manhwa, this manhwa had better than solo leveling showing us the current state of the main character and the hardships you went through with just his design and face but didn't remind or show us what he got of knowledge or weapons while he was missing and while he got a power after he got out it was reveal in the wrong place and the illustration is great it doesn't have the energy of solo leveling Damn i wrote a speech

There’s only three Manhua that I consider top tier. Solo levelling, omniscient reader and The beginning after the end. There’s actually one more but I can’t remember the name. All of them set a high bar that the rest of the generic manhua just can’t keep up with.

Pretty cliché though compared to solo levelling. I don’t feel as connected or as related to the mc as a weak human without power like myself lol

I dunno how many people here would agree with me on this but SL ain’t all that…. Yes it was most of our first action manhwa (including me) and it’s hype with the art being top notch but the plot ain’t it bruv. It’s just as the title says “solo leveling” and nothing deeper. I’m not saying SL is shit. I love the manhwa and it has this special place because it’s the first I’ve read of its kind. But plot vise Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint is easily wayy better with the same art style from the same studio. (Yes I will advertise ORV any moment I get). For those who just read SL y’all should read ORV. Oh and also The World After the Fall by the same studio. Plot is wayy better than SL and Return of the Disaster-Class Hero in my opinion.

Completely disagree here. Solo leveling is good in most if not every aspect that a Manhwa needs, which is. Art style, Story, Fight scenes, Character and Character development. While Return of the Disaster Class hero is good, I agree. It isn't even close to the solo leveling standard and is more of a revenge OP MC type of story, which I don't mind, but it isn't close to the level of Solo Leveling, especially how the character starts strong. I am not saying the story is bad, it's good, but not solo leveling good.

I dunno if its really better than solo leveling. Well, its cool to have an extremely powerful Main Charakter and so but i dont really like it when the Main Charakter is instantly strong ( except for one punch man) .the Main reason I like solo leving is that you can see the Progression that Jin woo makes and how he got every single ability that he uses in later chapters. While you're reading the manhwa or the novel you experience the entire journey of Jin woo from being the weakest to becomming the strongest and thats what i really like about solo leveling. And ngl u just cant say: "omg, the same Studio that made solo leveling just made another manhwa so it hast to be better." Without even looking at what makes solo leveling so good and what could this manhwa possibly make even better. And this is ( for me) clearly not the case because: you have an instantly strong Character with literally no background or smth like that and the person who wrote this Character just changed the Design from an special looking person to an basic anime character with no clear special details.
