And not only in calisthenics. Almost every sport needs a good coordination of lower and upper body, so learning how to engage the core (therefore strengthening it) in every exercise you make is essential for creating a solid base to create more power in every movement that is needed, without compromising your health in any way

Maybe you should do biceps push-ups, place your grips next to your hips.

Curious... From a while ago, when I did pushups or dips, I tried to focus on tightening my abs, just so I could focus on something else to distract from the tiredness and sore muscles, and also to try and train more areas at once. Glad to see it urns out I was doing well without knowing! :) Great video, very informative😁😁

When you do push up, squeeze your abs upwards so your whole body is flat. In pull up or chin up, use your core to stop your legs from swinging. If your core is correctly engaged, you should feel it's burning and tight.

​@@gini7950 My pleasure. When you do pull/chin up, depress your shoulder blades or keep em retracted, pull your self up slowly while your abs try to keep your body and legs straight. You should feel your abs throughout the motion.

This topic requires a disclaimer for all the people suffering from an anterior pelvic tilt. (That thing which is responsible for your lil belly, even though your bodyfat is low.. not the ovaries, that's women specific) LOOK UP A SHORT & EASY CORE ACTIVATION ROUTINE. NOT EASY TO GET STARTED WITH THOSE EXERCISES, THEY'RE KIND OF EASY TO GET WRONG, BUT IT'S WORTH IT AND REQUIRES ABOUT 10 MINUTES EVERY DAY.
