Real life goths are not all like how Darkness portrays. Most goths are pretty chill and cool. Are there goths like Darkness? Pretty sure there is but a small minority. Which is why him playing up the ridiculousness of how stereotypical goths act made it so entertaining to watch.

As someone who went through high school in the late 90s (the peak of High Goth culture), I have to say: Never fuck with a REAL Goth. They're by-and-large WAAAY more self-aware than anyone gives them credit for, and are generally clever as fuck. If you start a flame war or troll-off with one, you will lose. Every time.

I was often called “edgy” when I was in high school and early college, but aside from my interests, that’s all that’s to it. But definitely some of my best friends I’ve had are goth, even my girlfriend of two years, and she’s literally the sweetest person I’ve ever met

Some side info: I hadn't heard from MrBlack but from the videos it instantly became clear to me he is also Dutch. The Netherlands had a huuuge amount of teen Goths/Alternatively dressed people in the 00's, I know cause I was one of them in high school. Even my super strict Christian high school had some goths. For me that emphasizes on the fact it must be satire. MrBlack just copied what was really common back when he was younger and exaggerated it for laughs. Just the kind of humor we Dutch people like :')
