"Capitalzie on a fresh start - Use a planner!" This feels like it should be common sense, but it's not! So many people think they can reach a goal without a solid plan. A written plan , specifically! Intentions can only become actions if we understand the areas we need support, where our weakness and strengths lay, and then have a plan to address those things as we go along. A planner may not be everyones cup of tea, but its definitely a tool worthy of learning how to use... I looooovvvveee a hardcover planner and yours looks beautiful! I can tell it would be so useful and helpful for covering so many topics. Great job!

I personally haven’t yet found the perfect planner so i started a digital planner using GoodNotes on my iPad. I download digital versions of different planners and mix and match my favorite part from each of them. Some days, a simple to do list works for me, other days i need an hourly breakdown. So a digital planner gives me the flexibility to add the page that i need on that specific day. It is also so much easier to move things around. I loved my erasable pens but the convenience of digitally moving things around is great!

Plan a CEO day and brainstorm ideas for 2022! We are ALL the CEO's of our own lives (not just of small businesses)! Excellent advice Aja! I love using a physical planner and also created my own when I couldn't find one to work for my lifestyle.

This couldnt have come at a more perfect time. Ive recently transitioned into actual adult life, working a pretty busy full-time job, starting to pay off loans, & wanting to schedule in time for the gym & hobbies. Re: structuring to-do lists, I recently heard about putting the one most important thing that you need to do underneath the date. After you finish that one thing, you can cross it off and add the next task that you need to work on. So if you find one long to-do list (or even a list of 3 tasks) to be intimidating/overwhelming or if you get distracted by all of the other tasks on your list, this might help you focus and make progress one task at a time. Might be super obvious to some, but it was helpful for me to hear!

I use a bullet journal and what a lot of people don't know is that the creator of The Bullet Journal Method, Ryder Carroll, created the most minimalist method. To start, all you need is a notebook and a pen. I really appreciate that Ryder's original method really is "mindfulness disguised as productivity".

i use a bullet journal system and i love it bc it's equal parts planner and journal! 1) i have a small planner booklet with a yearly overview and then it's broken down by week. it's where i put down dates/events and daily to-dos! i'll add floating tasks that need to be done that week but are flexible so when I find pockets of free time, i'll do em. 2) i use a midori dotted notebook for a journal / habit tracker. each weekly spread has doodles and entries and clippings of places I visit/things I did. i have a month overview page where i track my habits and then do monthly check-ins (like health issues, bigger trends i notice, etc) and then i have a page where i print pictures from the month ^^ 3) i also have different types of mini-sketchbooks! one with toned paper, one for dry media and one for wet media. i'll usually switch between them depending on my needs. all three are contained in a roterfaden leather cover that has pockets/pouches and 3 spine clips (to hold up to three notebooks) so it's very modular/customizable! i'm constantly evaluating what parts of the system do and don't work for me and i love looking back on older bujos so the fact that you have a BOX of older/used/partly-used journals/planners is sooo cool! esp while you were developing your own planner; that must've been like your personal R&D! >:DD if you ever have time, i'd love to see a video of you going over old planners (both complete and incomplete) to see any trends/patterns you notice throughout the years! ^^ congrats on your continued success with MSTRPLN!!

Hi Aja! I received your 2022 planner in the mail this weekend & I'm so excited to take control and responsibility of my finances. I'm hopeful that this will be THE planner, you know, the one I buy every year and accumulate somewhere in my home to remind me of how far I've come...But may I make a suggestion? I LOVEEEE that you time blocked 30 minutes for the daily schedule..that's how I plan my day. But maybe you can leave the time out? I wake up at 3am and go to bed around 7-8pm so with the current setup right now 6am-10pm it doesn't work out for me very well. & yes I can just scribble out the times you have written..but my OCD won't let me, it'll look too messy. I do know you can't just cater to one customer so I'll understand and make due if you can't :)

I enjoy planner aps because I can check my planner thru my phone anytime & anywhere. That is what has worked for me :)

I have moved to the Erin Condren planners. I used the Life Planner for Journaling this year and the softbound for my catch all. I'm moving to the EC Folio system in 2022 because there are petite planners that I can incorporate into my lifestyle. Really excited to see where I go with it. And yes the best tip is to be FLEXIBLE and don't be hard on yourself.

I have recently spent too much money on planners that I don’t like! Lol. Finally found my faaaaaavorite. Remarkable2 , digital planner that auto saves as pdf and so I can keep a digital copy of it for later on. 🤓 It’s more of a journal since I need to use outlook calendars for work. Such a struggle to keep up two.

I love the Walmart brand 'Pen and gear' undated planner it's a good quality and colorful very eye catching and it's sold for $2.88. I brought like 2 of them for the future. It comes with a monthly calendar and weekly planning spaces. The planner includes a notes page for each month. And each week has a meal planning space, reminder, and To-Do list. It also comes with stickers that are pretty cool. I may do a review of it on my channel.
