Blessings. Our business is in a building that hasn’t been set up for fibre optic. We’ve jacked in with Ethernet car 6 but still slow. We’re a small business that streams, which is saving us from closing forever during these forced lock downs in Canada. Would this caldigit speed up our streaming and improve quality over zoom? We’re using a MacBook Air 2017 and an iPhone 8+ (1080p) as our webcam via EpocCam. Really appreciate the time. God bless.

Sorry about the delay. but this will only help the connection of your computer to the network. If your network and ISP is slow, then adding this device will not really do anything to improve your streaming over the internet, unless your computer you are uploading from is bottle necked. This does not sound like the case with that you described. What you described sounds like you need an ISP upgrade to Fiber.

This is extremely help. Can I confirm that my home network at 1gbps can still achieve the 10 Gigabit speeds?

not sure of the question here. but if you're home network is 1 gbps, then adding this adapter will only get you to 1gbps. UNLESS the other end you are connecting to is 10gbps. ie something like a 10gbps switch or 10gbps NAS. in short, as long as both ends the cable is connecting to is capable of supporting 10gbps then the connection will be 10 gbps.

I just ran CAT7 around my home and I was disappointed to find out that all the standard Ethernet to USBC/TBolt3 max out at 1G. That's only CAT6 speeds. Hope the price on these 10G boxes come down in size and price.

IN this video I was using a direct connect, and also a Ubiquiti EdgeSwitch 16 XG. I found the Ubiquiti EdgeSwitch 16XG to be the bet for the $. Better than the Cheaper alternative Netgear xs
