How to 1v1 Daedalus with any kit / Dummies vs Noobs 

*Disclaimer: no old veteran miner were hurt while recording this video*

Tip: Move forward, and then back out who you hear him emerge, prerably so you jump, so you will get moee time to get back, be carefull get goomba stomped. Daedalus follows your momentum, so you can exploit him with a jetpack. Daedalus targets the furtheat from the group, so if you are a scout, go far away, and yoy are a medic or an engineer, stay in group and deal with lther hostiles. What you don't wanna do is approach the person that doea good against dae, but you do wanna get in if it's for example a medic with no jetpack. When Daedalus casts his rock you need to wait till the rock is already in air, and strafe. If you don't have a jetpack you shouldn't worry too much about the rocks, and if you so, use it to evade (But don't use all charges at once!). When you see his eyes glow, make as much distance as possible, you *will* get hit without a jetpack, but dont get hit With the jetpack, as having no jetpack is a huge disadvantage. Fun fact, hitting daedalus with a shovel is possible, just do it while he is throwing a rock, or stomping. Just be carefull with your health.

for assault your grenade launcher can do 200 damage if it's a direct hit (also makes him jump which is funny)

correction with the medic kit: if you run low on HP, you can use the medkit to regen all your hp back, sure it won't help with killing daedalus, but it'll make you last longer.

For scout, if you like a mobile player. I recommend jetpack to sky then glide since mobile doesnt have the alot of feature like PC. For assault (mobile), you need good reflexes and reaction when dae infront of you. Use a grenade launcher to direct hit if fail use a AK but make sure you far away from Daedalus

Funfact:ya can hit dae with mele(like shovel) when before or after throwing rock/stomp animation but this is too risky iam not recommended to use this method also mele does not do much damage to boss thats all

for medic, or just any class with a machete or shovel ig, you can melee him safely right when he takes the rock from the floor.

i personally love fighting dae as an engi with just the shotgun, having to dodge the rocks and melee swings is pretty fun for me

For EVERY kit.... just run in a very circle by cycling your movement keys quickly. Just have a good enough reaction time, and your good enough.

i don’t play a ton of other kits other than assault but the grenade launcher can launch dae up for a while giving you a bit more space to run

I actually found a way to deal with Dae now. He will never attack you if you move backward when he's on the ground, even if you move slower than him. He only attack you when you are ragdolled from his rock throw and stomp or are standing still. Probably because when you are moving backward, you never actually stand in dae hitbox and therefore he will either always miss his melee or never attack you.

One problem with this. This is only assuming this is in a situation where its just you and daedalus left. In most situations, daedalus would be backed up by infantries, making it way more harder.

for medic: bow, melee while he's throwing, bow dealing 260 dmg per dig

For specialist you can spawn a ranger and then use hider for the ranger to explode on Daedalus, since when you are in hider and no one else is in the server, Daedalus just stands still doing nothing.

Daedalus + Cloaker in MM is Hell since he disabled your jetpack and so you can't get away.

2.0 Daedalus isn’t really that hard, especially since you can dodge his rock throw without a jetpack. As long as you have good Ping you’ll do fine soloing him. Edit: Found a tactic where you can dodge his rock throw even with high ping, this guy is pretty easy for me now.

For scout if you can get 17R, you can get a Aero kit from jetpack to against it with some skill (can against Sparta too

I will say that Daedalus is the weakest boss in my opinion. I mean if you get close he will do a lot of damage but he sucks at defense.

Even though it's 3 months ago and pretty much everyone knows how daedalus works, I'm gonna pass a part of my knowledge for yall If you are going to solo Dae by yourself, know that when he is about to appear, it corresponds to WHERE you are GOING. To simplify this, if you go forward while he digs down, he will appear in front of you and if you go backwards, he appear right behind you.

Now How to avoid APU

The best way to solo dae is know all his move and refusing it. Scout is the most easiest class to solo daedelus. Heal-stealer when low heal and high damage pistol, faster movement, truely born for fighting Dae. (cringe) Engineer is best class for solo daedelus. Throwing the machete, use shotgun which does massive damage (140 per full hit) make engi is the greatest class who does massive damage and turret damage suppoter Assault is harder way to solo him. Better stay away him a bit, use rifle to do damage, do a 200 damage of the gernade laucher to make him jumped. Still do a good damage anyway. If you want to solo dae by recon, u need to do the no-aim shot for better survival chance. Try to headshot him by the sniper, and throwing machete when running away. As a Medic, u are really want to soloing dae instead healing people??? Better use Recurve for massive damage, else u need a little harder for killing dae. Still not a bad class for fighting dae lol. The specialist is truely :agony: user for soloing. A bit heal-steal gun with low damage or Better damage but no heal is ur opition for gun. Ranger may help, but not dealing good damage for him. You are truely a tryhard when using specialist to soloing daedelus. (but hey, if that is wave 10, that good!) i hope this can help someone lol.
