For anyone that is troubled by measuring things like "center-to-center" here's a tip. Leading edge(LE) to leading edge(LE) is the same thing. Hook your tape on the leading edge of one crossbar and measure to the leading edge of the other. Works with trailing edges the same way. When mounting the 3 inch mounting brackets: it's the same thing. Once you figure out where one of them goes, measure from the LE to LE of the other. Done. If you want less overhang in the rear, adjust one bracket rearward (moving the awning forward) and then measure again to the other. Adjust the space between brackets to fit.

Hi, I just received this awning. What t slot nuts are supposed to go into the awning? One just keeps spinning when I tighten it and the other one seems to work, but easy to fall out from the channel.

Looks like you guys switched the t slot bolts to the hammer type, but these hammer bolts are not secured when you try to loose the nut to adjust the awning as the it might fall out. Is it possible to send me the old t slot bolts?

I also just received this awning and had the same question. Called customer service and she had no idea what I was talking about. These bold make attaching the bracket to the awning a complete pain to try and adjust. They need to provide t slot nuts that fit the actual channel.

Ever get this figured out? I just got my awning and also got all free spinning t-slot bolts. Also didn't even receive the lock nuts. Had to go and buy those myself but cant tighted the brackets down at all with bolts just free spinning in the channel. Very frustrating.

@@SC-mn7qg I did. I reached out to the company and they sent me a link to bolts and nuts that fit the square slot. I had to purchase them on my own. They work way better. It’s a shame though that for a $1000 plus dollar awning they don’t include a simple thing like appropriate hardware. A severe let down. I will say their customer service is top notch though!

Why does the awning come with 3 L brackets and the instructions only show 2 being mounted?

The rack they are using in this video only has 2 crossbars they need to mount to, so they are only using 2 of the 3 L brackets provided. There's a lot of other racks that would require use of 3 L brackets.
