I've been trying this trick now for a small amount of time so far, and the only thing I've been able to improve is my front side pop shovits. Which is AMAZING!! I love how this trick feels. I've almost done a 360 front side pop shuv! Which is also amazingly great! So thank you for this. I've just gotta work out the issues with the hook of my heel... As I'm texting this, an ad is playing and it's of a blind sailor who sails one of those small fast boats. I'm not sure but I'm mentioning this because I heard right before it ended, the man said(well this is the message I heard) no matter the obstacle or problem your facing, don't let it scare you or stop you. Keep hammering at it and have courage in yourself. I try and keep this kinda stuff in my head while I'm skating. Sure does help out alot.
Awesome! Yeah, I actually don't know if I could fs 360 shove before learning this trick - but I would occasional do one accidentally while trying the kiwi flip. Glad it's helping! And I'm a huge fan of believing in yourself. I am not a natural athlete at all, and I have to work really hard at tricks before I finally learn them (and then even harder to get consistent at them). In fact, that was why I wanted to make trick tip videos - I pretty much do everything wrong when learning tricks, and that allows me to help others troubleshoot their problems.
so cool. good job. I'm 34 and my 13 year old wanted to learn to skateboard in October of 2016 (minus one Wisconsin winter). She was trying to Ollie and was having some trouble. Somehow I decided it was a good idea to attempt to help her by trying this Ollie... jump... thing myself. Unfortunately the board cast it's indefensible powers upon the core of my soul. I am now an old beginner skater. I can do the Ollie jump thing ;) nollie, pop-shuv, frontside 180 and no comply Casper flip. I've also landed 5 kick flips in the past 3 days. This Kiwi flip video was very well made and will be my Go2 until I land it. I'm super excited to try this after work tomorrow. Thanx Beau and crew . you earned this sub. I would also like to learn the "log roll",(for the name only) but I can't find a good tutorial. You should help a brother out. :)
Awesome! :D That's pretty amazing progress for a beginner - it took me almost 2 years to learn a kickflip! I had to look up what a log roll was, haha - I'm going to have to learn that, and when I do, I'll make a tutorial for it. :)
Have you covered a toeside railflip, without any varial motion?(kind of like a cassanova flip railside) or a a railside underflip (again no varial motion) If not I'd love to help make that happen. Thanks!
Ha, I don't think so - seems like it was just meant as a "joke" name, but later coincidentally made sense as it resembled the way you scoop a kiwi (fruit) with a spoon. I got this info from Rad Rat: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-b-BO3APxeag.html
nope, not like that (HOW DO U FIND UR BALANCE IN THAT WAY AHAH). like this (i have only a video of a nerdflip so, try imagine me doing this with a 360 rotation) instagram.com/p/BTLsZsQApnb/?taken-by=kizu_freestyle&hl=it
Nice! Very clean - I think what you're referring to is a 360 nerdflip. This? instagram.com/p/BP3pzwpF8K2/?taken-by=beau.trifiro Also, check out @robbyskateboard - he does a crazy 720 version! Second clip in this video: instagram.com/p/BPOOUYGlWMR/?taken-by=beau.trifiro
Thats like saying a late flip is just a kickflip. Or an underflip just a heelflip. Even though the board rotates the same way, it's a significantly different technique.
@@qwertzqwertz7618 I agree with you, but then it feels not right to call an existing trick a different way, just because of a different style of doing it, late and under flip imply other techniques, so at least the trick should be called ''KIWI LASER FLIP'' which means that you are doing a laser flip with the ''kiwi technique''
@@operacioneschengchengshipp7855 Oh yeah that makes sense. But as you know we love short names, so a Fs 180 kickflip is just a fs flip, a frontside shovit kickflip a hardflip, a late kickflip a late flip etc. so saying kiwi flip is just short for kiwi laser flip.
@@gianlucamarras4483 Skateboarding is constantly evolving and people will always come up with new creative, unseen stuff... I mean it's cool if you only like oldschool tricks though
