@@TR7Skate didn't get it. Got a bunch of reverts to fakie on quarters and banks which felt great. The square shoulders tip really helped. But struggled when on the coping. Did get tail stall revert fakie out though for the first time, which I was so pleased with.

Just learned this one yesterday. I was doing it the cross locked way and it felt so sketch! I kept lifting up like you do on a feeble fakie so I didn't hang up. The way you explained makes more sense and looks so much smoother. Can't wait to try it out!

Great tutorial - you guys are nailing them on this channel. Question on powerslides: how much do you "unweight" yourself to allow the wheels to slide on the ground/surface? I've been skating since I was a kid but still find that whenever I try to powerslide in a real environment (rather than just practicing on the flats) my wheels grip and I quickly stumble forward off the board. Is the solution putting more power into the powerslide, or just lightening myself subtly as I begin the move?

Thanks for commenting! The first thing you want to think about when it comes to power slides is the hardness of your wheels… the harder the wheel, the more the slide, especially on smooth surfaces such as wood or concrete.. soft wheels tend to be much much grippier and are better for cruiser boards. Failing that, the key to power slides is to stand up into them as you do it, trying to be as weightless as possible and the more you commit to getting the 90degree turn, the easier your wheels will slide. I hope this helps, let us know if it does!! 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

Tried learning these a while back, really struggled with the feeling of pushing the tail wheel over the coping when you are about to revert back in. Maybe I'll try again 👍

Work on the revert without the grind first and it will help you get used to the feeling ☺️

@@TR7Skate I got that no problem it's the feeling of moving the back wheel over the coping. It's a fear of the coping thinking my board isn't going to go where I want it to and I plummet to the flat.
@TR7Skate
@TR7Skate 2 года назад
@@Brusselsproutsk8 and that’s a perfectly reasonable fear! But once you really go for it the fear should go away over time

I always found that coming out way and lock really strange : i recommend to learn feeble fakie first (back truck locked as a feeble or normal axle) and coming out exactly like a rock to fakie. Next you just have to put front truck in axle to change feeble fakie in axle fakie. Way way way easier

The way you describe is harder than the way shown in this video. Your way, you have to hold up the front wheels in order not to hang up badly. The version in this video only ever lets one wheel of the front truck get above the coping. Less risky.
