​@@theiranmilitary1514 once you can do the lip roll (generally takes a few months to more than a year), you can try with basic patterns like "B Lp Pf Lp BABELI/CONTRIX combo Pf Lp", and this is a great starter beat that sounds really good too. once you have experimented with some basic beats, you should try and learn variations through tutorials. you can learn of the different variations by learning cirby's tutorials on napom, codfish, etc. this will kind of give you an idea of the different lip rolls out there as well as how it can be used effectively. and finally, the most important tip is to practice and have fun. chuck your different lip rolls in different beats, experiment, and you will sound great in no time. good luck!

I prefer those tutorials, this one actually got me nowhere unfortunately. I had to watch 3-5 different tutorials, get multiple pointers from my mentor (that being Bizkit), and also get advice from Gene and River at the beatbox house party last year. Only then did I finally get it, after 5 months of training 2 hours a day. I plan to make an in depth lip roll tutorial for people in my situation
